"New to the area, and decided to get my nails done. Searched and stumbled on Solar Nails, made my appointment which was at 7pm. Arrived 15 minutes before my appointment together with my two girls who were last minute to get their nails done. Upon arriving we did notice that they were busy, the place was clean, and chill. Informed the male tech that I would like my girls nails to get done as well. To my surprise they agreed and didn't turn my girls away to get their nails done since there was no appointment done and they were busy. We were directed to pick our nail color which they had tons of varieties to pick from. It did take us an hour before I was seated and my girls. Upon being seated a female tech was very welcoming, asked if I would like any water and soda. Oh that was very pleasing! They were so nice and welcoming as well to my daughters and offered them a drink and asked them if they wanted to sit by me. Few minutes in my girls was being helped and getting their nails done. My nail tech lady was Kelly, and I MUST say she is AMAZING! She was not rushing at all, and took her time. She cut my ingrown and cuticles removed which was a huge thing for me! Her massage was AMAZING as well! Not painful nor rushed as well! My girls nails were amazing! They definitely took their time and made my girls nails beautiful!I found our go to nail salon FINALLY after arriving from California!"

"I'm here in town for work and seriously needed a fill and fix asap. So I basically picked the first place that popped up. At first i was a bit apprehensive because the area seemed a little sketchy but decided to give it a go anyway. Other than having to wait a while my experience was good. My nail tech was great. Really put in effort to make my nails looks good. I went in for fill and she reshaped my nails to make them look fresher than when I first got them done. She was pretty quick too. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Ambiance Nail Spa. The staff were so nice throughout the entire visit - from the entrance to the service. My nail tech was chatty and friendly too. The salon was super clean and relaxing. $32 for a shellac manicure was well priced. Will be returning!

I enjoy having a manicure and pedicure. My favorite technician is Lyn. She takes her time and does an excellent job. I don't go very often so I always add waxing my eyebrows..If you have dry skin schedule an appointment with Lyn!

Unfortunately this is the best place in Calallen to get nails done. Wife and daughter went today to get nails and both felt they were intruding on a private conversation between the workers. My wife got passed onto three different people. I've been in the past and got nicked and left with toe nails bleeding. Sad we have to go to San Antonio to find a nail place that: 1. Has exceptional customer service; 2. Does the job right and as desired the first time; 3. Has no language barrier; and 4. Truly values your patronage. Reserve is clean, I'll give them that but everything else is lacking. Customer service is nil, especially if they mess up and are called out. Techs will argue and then pout if you mention any feedback. Communication is great amongst the staff but can easily make customers not fluent in their language feel isolated

Wonderful experience at Deluxe Nail Salon! We had two adults and two kids and we were all treated so special! Great pedicure with excellent massages for the adults. The kids were treated to flowers on their ties and were thrilled. Really great service!

My nails are the perfect oval shape which for some reason was impossible at the other nail salons I've tried around here. The prices are really good too!"

The facility is super-clean, they have wonderful massage chairs, and they have a large nail polish selection. "Weird beginning - I asked for a dip powder nail technique & regular pedicure and between all of the nail techs, it took them 5 minutes to figure out if it was going to work out even though it was dead - no clients?!? I'm new to CC so I didn't know if this was normal to figure out if both services could be done simultaneously. Nail techs were nice but I felt out of place. Never offered me something to drink. I never felt comfortable and when I asked about the lashes it was like I asked for a dinner to go. Then I asked if they were on Yelp & I thought I had accidentally asked for their social security numbers. It was such an uncomfortable experience. Not sure if I'll return."
"I drive by this beautiful building every time I go to the post office. Today, I ventured. Jackie was at the front desk and I asked her if she takes walk-ins. She said yes, and that she was ready to cut my hair right now. I thought this is going to be a nice afternoon. She brought me a cappuccino in a blue mug and then sat me down and we talked about my hair. She washed and then cut it. She blow dried it and then cut it some more. It was a pleasant experience because she "listened" to what I was asking for. The owner is a young woman from Brazil and has s dog named Bear. Her products are also from Brazil. Every one was kind, smiling and friendly. I made an appointment for another cut in two months.My hair is dry now and I am at home looking at it. I love it!! It's hard to cut wavy hair so that it lays down well. Jackie did a truly fantastic job because she cut it twice. She made all the corrections right then and there after she dried it. Thank you Jackie!!"
"My first time here! Got a mani/spa pedi. Good price and Tina was terrific. We had a lovely chat while she rid my heels of barnacles and made my toes look pretty again. Her three year old kept a running commentary up and was very entertaining. I loved the massage that comes with the spa pedi. It was so relaxing. My nails got a good shaping, too! "I was originally hesitant to get my nails done here due to the previous reviews but my friend had a positive experience and recommended me this place if I wanted a cheaper nail salon. Im not sure if the service here is necessarily cheaper than other salons but I love the ways my nails turned out so Im pleased. Andy was super attentive to my nails and let me try out a couple colors so I could get as close to the Pinterest nails I showed him. I got a regular pedicure by another lady and she was super nice and attentive but I dont know if I would get a pedicure again."

"I come from Dallas and always get gel nails done every month... Elegant nails is the ONLY place in Kingsville that I trust getting my nails done at. I've tried three other places in town several times and elegant nails is the only place I know of that performs their services on par with what I get in Houston or Dallas! They have so many gel nail colors to choose from! And the employees are always really friendly and nice. On busy days, yes there may be a wait because they only have at most 4-5 people working, but the wait is worth it (and there is a wait for a reason). I refuse to get my nails done elsewhere. The only time I venture elsewhere is when elegant nails isn't open (Sundays :( ), and my backup place then is Kings nails. My gel nails are always perfect and clean, no spill over or mess on my skin, and last about 2-3 weeks with no peeling whatsoever! When taking my gel nails off they always soak and scrape it off which is what is supposed to happen. Surprisingly other places in town will jump straight to using the drill to take my gel off! This is why I only go to Elegant nails. Not to mention the quality of their work is significantly better than other salons. Like i said, on par with the city. I highly recommend Johnny, he's the nail tech that usually does my gel nails. Mary is really good as well! Definitely my favorite nail salon, been going here 3 years now... I will miss this salon very much when I graduate and leave Kingsville.Elegant nails is located beside Blue Ribbon. Their salon is very big and spacious with a laid back relaxing environment. Wish they were open Sundays, but usually on weekends they drive to Houston to pick up new colors and fresh supplies for the week."

"I came in today to Kim's as they were the only salon open before noon on Sunday and I must say I'm sad I've never tried their salon. I came in to get my nails done (got dip) and I was very pleased with not only how my nails turned out, but all of their color selections. I hope I'm spelling my technician's name right (Emme or Emmy), but she was amazing. She explained how they are under new management and now everything is brand new from equipment to their products. Almost everything she used on me from the dip powders to the tools were brand new and had to be opened. I will definitely be back and can't wait to tell more family and friends about it. "The convenience of this salon is that they're open every day of the week. I usually do pedicures here and they're not bad! The pedi area is in front of a large tv and they always have a large fan blowing for that nice cool breeze. The environment is really serene, good for when you really want to relax. My roommate has complained before that their pedis are only okay, however I've never had a bad experience with the quality of their pedis... But then and again I'm not so picky with my feet and I always do a basic simple color with no designs. The massage is only okay though.My hands, however, are a different story. I always do gel nails, and I'm very picky when it comes to getting them done, esp since I'm from Dallas. Their shellac removal technique is great, they do the soak and scrape off which is the correct way to remove gel nails, however when it comes to application, the man that I always seem to get (he has a bump on one of his eyes) is a little bit sloppy when it comes to painting gel on my fingers and cleaning them from the sides of my skin after. He also doesn't wait long enough while I'm under the UV light. (Not sure about other nail techs). All in all, it's not too bad of a job actually when compared to other nail salons like LA nails and Natural nails (I do not recommend any of those, they jump straight to drilling your gel nails off with the buffer machine! And even less wait time under the UV light!), however I would only do my gel nails here when the #1 place I trust getting them done at, Elegant Nails, is closed. I recommend gel nails at Elegant nails. Kings is a good runner up if you don't care too much and just really need your nails done that day. Or perhaps other nail techs might be of better service, since I only seem to get placed with the same one. Other than that, pedis here are not bad ($25 for basic pedi, $30 for deluxe which includes mud mask, sea salt, and hot towels)! And eyebrow waxing is pretty good too! I recommend that here actually, they take their time with shaping your brows after, which is great :). Kings for pedis and brows! (Been using this place as my backup salon for 3 years now, just didn't discover yelp til recently!)"

Personal care services are very important to me bc a bad hair cut or color can not be quickly undone. Caleigh has been my hairdresser/colorist for many years. She is top notch and provides services that you would expect to receive at a high end salon. She is the person I recommend to my family, friends, colleagues and strangers who ask about my hair. Crystal is another hair dresser at the same salon. She is my back up gal when Caleigh is unavailable and I'm in a pinch. She is equally superb to Caleigh's talent. Not to be excluded from this review is AJ. He cuts my son's hair, beard and shapes his eyebrows. My son is super picky about his hair and is never disappointed with AJ's services. This little salon in Flour Bluff is a hidden gem in Corpus Christi. Don't let the location or size of salon be the reason you pass on this salon. These folks will not disappoint you. They are friendly, welcoming and treat you like family. You will leave there looking and feeling like your best self. As far as their prices go, you would expect to pay far more for the quality of their work. I have followed this trio from one salon to this one and will continue to do so if they ever leave."
