"My husband and I went out to the Fat Cat Lounge and Cafe today for lunch. Lemme tell y'all everything we had was amazing! We started with the trio dip appetizer (we chose Crack Chicken Dip, Spinach and Artichoke Dip, and their Hummus) all were freaking delicious! We had the special Watermelon Gazpacho Soup which was so flavorful and refreshing...we both finished it and wanted to lick the bowl clean it was so good! For our main meal I had the Bacon Jam Blue Cheese Burger with Chef Rob's farm raised beef. It was one of the best burgers I have ever had! My hubby ordered the Chef's Special a Pulled Pork Sandwich and it was so delicious! Probably the best pulled pork sandwich he's ever had! If you haven't tried Fat Cat Lounge and Cafe, you need to do it right now!! We will be adding this restaurant to our favorites and will be making regular visit to try out more of their menu! Just so you know everything on the menu is local farm to table! We didn't have time to get pictures of our food because we were hungry and everything was sooooo good!"
"Stopped in for lunch today and was very pleased with the experience. The server was prompt and friendly and the food was very good. I had a hamburger steak with loaded mashed potatoes. The steak was good sized and was cooked to order. The seasoning was perfect and I liked that they topped it with sautéed onions. It came with an excellent brown gravy that was served on the side, something I really appreciate. The loaded mashed potatoes were topped with bacon, sour cream, and cheese and were excellent. They were basically a cross between a baked potato and mashed potatoes and will be my side of choice in future visits. Overall a very satisfying lunch in a nice, small town pub!"
"Intimate, beautiful place with amazing music! Heard Wizdom and her house band and they were awesome! BYOB so it's a bargain even after the price of admission! Our new favorite place in Corpus Christi!"
"My new fave! I've visited this place on several occasions and it never disappoints. Paige is usually our server and she's fantastic. Some of the same specialty drinks as Whiskey Palm, which is also amazing, Highly recommend both places when in Rockport. The menu is limited and hours can vary, so double check before you head over. It's worth it for the views and the food. I recommend the shrimp (some of the best tasting in the area), the fresh oysters (when in season), the large calamari, the wedge salad and the key lime pie. All delicious! And the views are the best in the area. We once watched dolphins playing. Now I'm dreaming about those views, fresh air blowing and sitting in the swings with a cool drink in my hand listening to the music...When family visits, bring them here. They are always on point."
"Mixed feelings about the Sip Yard. I was here as a guest of the ARK. A none profit partner operating out of University of Texas Marine Science Institute .They rehab sea turtles and birds of prey found debilitated in the area. Fund raising has resulted in a significant addition to facilities designed to accomplish their goals. We celebrated on the top floor of the Sip Yard with food and drink. The owner was present giving a good idea of the Sip Yards mission and management style. They can facilitate large gatherings like ours as well as catering and the two floors below of music,tv,games and live music.Personally I don't like places like this in a small island town. But,you can't fight progress and this type of development.I encourage other local places before you give Sip Yards a try."
"I have lived in Port Lavaca for three weeks and have been having trouble finding a great steak. Then I found this place it a little out side of town but way worth the drive. Great music and great crowd. Not to meantion a amazing steak dinner. This place will Date night on Fridays for sure."
"I was pleasantly surprised how much we enjoyed eating here! Everything was seasoned well and fried to perfection. Server was very friendly but she was the only server so it was a little slow, but well worth the wait. I usually try to eat 1/2 of my lunch and take the other half home for dinner, but it was impossible to stop eating. The fried fish was light, crispy & lots of flavor. The chicken tenders and chicken fried chicken were both so tender and juicy with a tasty crunchy batter. All the sides were homemade goodness all around. The only thing I would recommend is the cornbread is served cold and I would ask for it to be warmed next time. It was still a good sweet cornbread and I devoured it. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu."
"Great local hangout. Service is always very friendly and the owner is extremely welcoming. We have had a great time here multiple times."
"I was quite skeptical about this little hole in the wall as I pulled up And especially when I walked in and saw only two servers on a Saturday afternoon for lunchtime. I walked out of there so surprised.....the food was actually super homemade was not Tex-Mex and quite well served for the price of lunch specials my Monday through Saturday 11:30 AM to 4 PM for 7.99!!! I got the flautas lunch special it was certainly a hefty bed of lettuce with sour cream rice and beans and a side little bowl of chicken soup. All day margaritas for 3.00 and the free tostadas and fresh queso was a bonus! I will definitely return with my family as long as the food continues to meet our expectations and is well served all for the price. Well done Hacienda San Miguelito!!"

Not sure what all the negative reviews are about. People are too harsh! I'm sure it gets busy in the summer and it's hard to find good help. But it's important to support local businesses in Rockport . This is a great little place with an amazing beachy atmosphere. I shared the fried shrimp and fish plate and it was great. The drinks are great as well. Full bar!

Great first experience. The live music was good, we were able to watch the game on the TV (may want to add more TVs just a suggestion), great vibe, the set up is great and we enjoyed ourselves.

The food was delicious, seasoned perfectly. I had the catfish, spaghetti green beans but the side of macaroni and cheese and cornbread also known as Mama's plate. The corn bread was moist and sweet, the catfish was large and flaky on the inside and fried crispy outside. The premium mac and cheese was delicious also. Their service was very friendly and very attentive. I would love to go back to try something else. I believe they even have live music on certain nights. Someone else at our table had chicken strips which he said were very good too. Keep up the good work R&B.

"I stopped in here finally after seeing it a few times from the road. The place is next to a pretty little lake. The night I stopped in they had a live band playing. I ordered a veggie black bean burger and a beer from their extensive beer list which was very impressive! The burger came out and it was cold and generally disappointing. I waited patiently for about 15 minutes after I finished my drink and food while bartenders and servers milled about in front of me. Seemingly oblivious to someone sitting at the bar right in front of them with an empty plate and empty pint. I would expect someone to ask if I needed another drink or if I needed anything but they didnt. It was overall not a good impression. I dont plan on coming back but maybe I will to try another beer or two, hopefully the service will be a little better"
"Small cocktail bar just off the square in LaGrange. Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, good selection of liquors and beer (and a few wines). Their specialty is the Old Fashion. Nice place to hang out, have a drink or two and meet some new people."
"My son joined middle school band. I'm so happy we bought a trumpet from here. When we walked in we were helped by an older gentlemen, the best customer service I've ever had. I couldn't have felt more at home then how he made us feel. He was so sweet helped us understand and answered all our questions. We even got a great deal compared to any of the other stores we called. I will come back and send any of my family and friends to Galvan store. Also want to thank that gentleman for being so kind and special to us. We will be back for sure!! I really wish there was more people like him in customer service."
"Excellent Burger and Fries for the special of the day at $8.00! Waitress was nice and efficient. It was exactly what we wanted for a quick stop at a local restaurant driving thru to Port Aransas. And nice, clean bathrooms is always a plus."
"December 4, 2021Came in for dinner after Dickens on the Strand. They were busy but there was room inside. We sat at bar and it took 10 minutes to be acknowledged; the bartenders noticed us and that we had menus, but still ignored us. When we were proactive with them they came and took our order. They serve appetizers, hotdogs, burgers and nachos only. We got the Atomic hotdog, the Chico hotdog with cheesy fries and a swiss/mushroom burger.Everything was delicious. Weiners were huge, like super sized! As we were leaving a band was going to play. Bar I'd go back to."
"Stopped in for a few bevvies on a Sat afternoon, off season and were pleasantly pleased by the friendly staff and full bar. Some of the regulars teased us a bit upon entering, because obviously we weren't "from around har", but that just made the experience better. The day was nice so we parked under the brellies on the front porch and watched the day mosey on by. I couldn't understand that the ONLY business pic for this place was someone's hairy leg, so I added some more, including a hairy leg from our group in case that's a SugarShack Schtick."
"This is a wine and whiskey bar and restaurant where the food and service is very good. Live music in a smaller setting makes for perfect ambiance. Corn hole and indoor outdoor space is really nice being that tx weather is wild."
"Went to a Pavilion show on Saturday night. Other than a long wait to get in, it is cool venue to see a show. We parked right across the street for $10 - cheap by today's standards, and overall had a good experience inside. The pavilion is covered but not heated or air conditioned, but it wasn't so cold to ruin the experience. I would return for another show."
"Iconic Hill country pub.Great dive bar with a back music venue and bands on the weekends. The burgers are great and the beer is cold. Party selection of drinks and an amazing back patio. I love that this spot still has pool tables. Some might not like a smoking inside but there's plenty of space outdoors and there's often music playing. The service is good and the parking is easy. Don't be surprised to see some big pickup trucks outside on the gravel parking lot!"
"Absolutely amazing ambiance, when you walk in your are truly transported in time. The staff was absolutely incredible and very friendly always asking for ways to serve. The food we had for starters was the pork belly and guacamole. Big fan here the pork belly perfectly cooked. Christina had the Tatar tot shots amazing and I gave the the chicken fried steak a go and was not disappointed. If you have a chance to swing in do take the time it is absolutely amazing."
"Hell to the yes! The food here is DELICIOUS, there's loads of it, and not even crazy expensive?! That's a triple threat combo!I knew we were going to be in the area last weekend so I looked into dining options ahead of time. One look at the menu at this place and I knew we had to go. I ordered the adult grilled cheese: three types of cheese on Texas toast with tomato, thin-sliced ham, AND bacon. Heaven! I would have never thought of a double-decker grilled cheese, so it was quite the surprise when they brought it out. Along with a heaping portion of utterly delicious fries. There was no way I was gonna get through it all without needing a to-go box, especially since I was saving myself for dessert to get the funnel cake fries. They were also generously heaped, plus a cup of molten dark chocolate. My partner helped me and we still couldn't finish them, so that came back home too, LOL.So yeah, I was really pleased with my meal. The place is very unassuming from the outside if you're just driving by. It looks like a run-down old red barn. And it probably was at one point, but the inside has been converted into a dining establishment. It's definitely not fancy on the inside either (though it leans into the whole "industrial" vibe that's so popular these days), but they have some fun colorful lighting and string lights too + a stage in the corner. Walk in and seat yourself at a table or up at the bar. They've got pool tables if you're into that. And they have live music and events (I saw an advertisement for a corn hole tourney) depending on what night you go. Looks to be a cool hangout for the local crowd. All the staff were friendly and the bathrooms were passably clean, haha. Parking is a gravel lot kind of shared with an RV park."
"Stopped in while shopping downtown to grab a beer & a small snack. Braeven was our bar tender and she was super friendly and answered our questions about the history & about the menu. We'll definitely come back and askfor her!! We ordered 2 draft beers from a decent selection of taps.. IPAS to light beer selections. We also shared a small nacho plate with the Texas Red (mild version) chili and it was really good! It was daytime, so the music was at a good level. We were able to sit at the bar and talk. It appeared to be some locals and maybe a couple groups of tourists. Mixed group. We'll be back!"
"If you are in Angleton on Friday or Saturday, I hope you are visiting The Dirty South. The burgers are out of this world. The potato wedges are fan.tas.tic. The Mac n cheese is totally worth it. And the cocktails are fun and exciting. On the weekends there is live music, if that is your thing. I love coming here."
"What a fantastic idea to turn an old theater into a venue so cute. Plus it saves some history. The owners were super friendly. There is an upstairs bar and then downstairs is more seating and like a stage area where you could have dancing or whatever. We had our high school class reunion there. It was great."
