""The food was amazing! Such a fun atmosphere, and the service was great too."we will be back"
"This restaurant used to be close to my previous home and every time I've come here, the food and service has always been great. Upon arrival, the hostess took me to a table but the table wasn't ready. She immediately called upon someone who came within the minute to clean everything up. I then sat down and the menus were brought to me before my wife sat down. Fast service for a 3/4th packed restaurant. Our drink were brought out fast. I ordered chorizo, potato, and egg breakfast with refried beans and a side of potatoes. My wife just had a potato and egg taco. My plate is on the menu but you can ask for things that are not part of the plate and make your own, like my side of extra potatoes. The food was excellent. The service was great."

"My coworkers love to get tacos from here for the office, and they are delicious every time. I came to visit the restaurant today for the 1st time in person, and the service was pretty fast. Waitress was very attentive, and customer service was superb. Food came out fast, and my tacos were as delicious as they always are. I usually order bean and cheese and the papa con chorizo. If you order some breakfast items after 11 a.m., there is an additional charge. They provide small cups of vanilla to add to your coffee, and it sweetens it perfectly. Ask for the vanilla cups if you don't automatically get them with your coffee. The salsa for the chips had the perfect spice to it, and I could not put them down. It unfortunately ruined my appetite for my actual meal, lol"
"So glad to be the first to review this place. I haven't visited in a while but only because it's out of the way. This place has THE best tortas in town. Take them to go. The place is not in a good side of town but also its kind of a dive inside. The chef is from DF and really puts some thought and creativity into the tortas. I've had the Cubano over and over. Sooooo good. The paletas? Flavors and flavors galore. I've had both the water-based and the milk-based. They're all really good. I usually buy in bulk to keep at home. Only criticism I have is I wish I could get an interesting side besides a bag of chips. Try this place out. It's amazing!"
"Really good tacos but lemme tell ya...very sketchy area to be standing alone if you're a female... I have come here multiple of times and have been approached by random people and stared at by this one guy coming from the Lulu liquor store towards me when I was waiting for my corn elote and taco order! I thought I was gonna get robbed that day lol. I would suggest ordering and only taking out your form of payment when you step out of your car. ( they take card and cash). Don't be a victim with your fancy bags and what not. And if you have a large order wait in your car and then get it when they signal you. The tacos are about $2 a piece for the al carbon beef but super flavorful and the aroma here is on point. Corn elote is okay but the must get item is their taco and delicious green salsa!"
"This is our go to Tex-mex food when it is open. I like the enchiladas, but they literally have the best Piccadillo crispy taco I have ever had. The breakfast tacos are great, too."
"My husband & I ordered to go & the Piccadillo puffy tacos plate weighed about 7 lbs. they were pretty tasty.. the rice was not to my liking but the plate overall was good, we also ordered Lengua guisada & I must say I've never had anything like it, it was so tender & the flavor was on point, a little overpriced but the location says it all. Next time we'll dine in."
"Mango nada is delicious! Very clean. Staff is pleasant. I look forward to visiting again and trying other snacks!"
"Went fishing and the locals advised me to check this establishment out, so we did. The staff were super friendly and greeted us immediately. Lots of friendly people also inside the restaurant that greeted us as well. Anyways I ordered a burrito and a large bowl of menudo. The tortillas were fresh, the burrito was amazing and loaded with meat. The menudo soup was from fresh chili not powder red chili . The soup was delicious and loaded with protein! If I come fish here again I'm eating at this place every day. The restaurant was old but it had a good vibe to it."
"The food is good here, the service was friendly. There was nothing negative about my experience. Everything was perfect and went smoothly. Food was out in a timely manner and fairly priced. The Molcajete, pictured, was good."
"This spot is legit! They offer all types of Porky Goodness. Chicharrones - CheckDeep Fried Ribs - Check Chicharrone Prensado - Check Gorditas - Check Gnarly Cuts - CheckDefinitely check this spot out if you're in the area, their Habanero salsa is great too. This is the Real Deal if you want Carnitas and Cracklins!"

Service: I do have to say it was a little weird how our server kept calling my mother "mamasita" and my little brother "papasito". Aside from this little issue she was very attentive by constantly checking if we needed anything. I was surprise since they had a full house and still provided much better service than other places.Food: I had the "Huevos divorciados" which were great! It was a lot of food and very tasty. The sauces weren't to hot but just gave it enough of that spicy taste to make your meal that much better. The only complain I would have is with the beans since they did not have a homemade taste but instead had more of "canned beans" taste. Lastly, the cheesy "migas" were a great complement to the meal. I like to think of this place as our own Mexican "IHOP" and I totally recommend it.

This Torta and snack shop is definitely a small hole in the wall kind of place. It's a no frills shop providing AMAZINGLY delicious and fresh tortas along with fruit based and cream based popsicles. I ordered 3 different tortas to try out: The Milanesa torta, Bistec torta, and the Cubano torta. The tortas were made with freshly made toasted bread, and filled with a generous amount of meat. I highly recommend ordering the Cubano which was my favorite of the three tortas I ordered. It was a combination of milanesa, bistec, chorizo, and a thin slice of deli sandwich ham, topped with avocado and cheese! I sorely regret not getting pics of the food~ we just got way too excited the second we unwrapped our food and just ate it all up!! The only downside to ordering the tortas to-go was that their red and green salsas are not included with your order. They charge 1$ for 3 salsas which will come in tiny solo dressing cups. Anyways, check Delicias out for a great torta!

We stopped for lunch & enjoyed a tasty lunch. The service was prompt & friendly. The prices are still reasonable. The sign outside shows they are now open on Sunday. Always a great Mexican place to stop when you're in the area

Excellent new family owned place with fresh interior and tables and some outdoor seating too. Delicious dessert and also have New Mexican ice cream flavors - I can't spell them but made out of chocolate and Mexican candies. The mangonada was delicious with right amount of spice. Even the strawberry ice cream was creamiest I've had in a while. 10/10 if you love dessert.

"We decided to go out for breakfast and usually head to Poncho Gringos but it was not open. Really never heard of this place but it was open and it was breakfast. To our surprise this place was awesome. We walked in and it was not so busy, the staff was kind and inviting. It was quiet and plenty of tables. We ordered. I did not take any pictures this time for I was hungry and wanted to really take in the ambiance. I ordered two taco with egg and churro with bacon and cheese. I will say the two were filling and delicious. My daughter order a bean and cheese which two filled her too. My wife had some eggs beans and a whole plate of food. I wish I remembered what she ordered but I will say none of us were disappointed. The waitress had our coffee filled and checked in reasonably, unlike other breakfast places where they are on top of you or ignore you. I will say when we were leaving this place was getting packed. So, my opinion is this is a good to go place, you want a good breakfast, lunch with a kind and enjoyable atmosphere this is it."
"When you've been on the beach and want some dinner, but don't want to get dressed...this is your jam!Mexican restaurant with a drive thru. Woot woot. I ordered the asada taco. Asked for cilantro, onion and tomatoes. Salsa on the side. The taco was big and full of flavor. Definitely hit the spot and very convenient to go in the drive thru. Thank you!"
"It is a small restaurant but the tacos are very tasty and they have one dollar tacos from Monday to Thursday I order the asada and Al pastor tacos the green salsa was so good and the Jamaica water delicious and grate service I will definitely recommend this place to all my friends and family"
"Stopped in here on our way from the coast to Austin. Loved it! Salsa was a bit different but delicious and the chips were crispy and fresh. Nachos were perfect - right amount of beans and cheese and a nice bowl of jalapeños. Puffy tacos and enchiladas were good (puffy tacos being the favorite). Finished with a sweet empanada. Restaurant was clean and very family oriented, restrooms were clean and well-stocked, and our server was fast and delightful. We'll stop again next beach trip."
"Angelica's is a little hole in the wall on the South Side and looks totally unassuming but they are so good! Everything is always hot and fresh and their corn tortillas are both delicious and way bigger than any other corn tortilla I've ever had. And the best part is that they make them super toasty which adds even more flavor!I don't care what time of day it is, you can get chicken or beef caldo, (I got chicken, so good!) and their breakfast tacos are delicious. The only thing I don't like is that they use American cheese instead of cheddar or a Mexican blend. Nonetheless, you can't go wrong, and the servers are always super nice and very attentive."
"Panchito's is a very good Mexican restaurant in Olmos with a family feeling atmosphere. The service staff takes amazing care of their patrons and do a great job of making you feel welcome. The food has never disappointed and they have a great selection of items for lunch, dinner, and even breakfast tacos. The chips and salsa are always a great hit as they have wonderful salsa with great flavor. Our son loves their quesadillas and the beef empanadas. Highly recommend going to Panchito's!"
"Food was yummy and they served good portions. Their barbacoa is some of the best I've ever tried. Fast, speedy service"
"When passing through Kingsville on our way home from Padre Island we were looking for a spot to eat and stretch our legs. With a variety of options, and a few we've tried before (Korean BBQ and Spice Station are other must-visits for the area), I took to Yelp to find something familiar, comforting, and options our 8 and 3 year olds will eat. So, we found El Tapatio and so glad we did!The parking lot was full, which is always a good sign - especially for lunchtime on a Thursday. We entered and were seated right away. Our waitress was quick with our drink and food order and we were all so happy with our meals. There is quite a bit to choose from on the menu, but we all found various options that were so satisfying. I went fajitas with their El Patron (which is a large portion and easily shared). Sizzling hot with a variety of beef, chorizo, grilled onions and packed with flavor. My husband had their flautas plate and our cousin went with some street tacos. For the kiddos we had them share a kids cheese quesadilla which comes with rice and beans. Overall, service was top notch and very attentive, the restaurant was clean and very welcoming, and above all the food did not disappoint. So, if you're finding yourself coming or going through town you must add El Tapatio to your list of must-try places!"
"Fajita 10/10Quesadillas 9/10Pico de gallo 8/10Horchata 9/10This is my number 1 restaurant to visit every time I come down to the valley! I always get the fajita mini tacos. The fajita is always tender and juicy. Full of flavor. The quesadillas are just the way we make them at home. We crisp them up a little more but these were on point!"
"I grew up in San Marcos and never knew that this little gem was down the road in Uhland. We stopped in for a late breakfast, sat and ate, and were out in 15 mins on our way down the road. Fresh, homemade tortillas, homemade salsa, not too greasy chorizo, and whole strips of bacon on the tacos. Two drinks, four meat tacos, and tip all less than $10! You can't go wrong. They are only open until 2, FYI. With all the problems we've had finding a good taco joint in the area (limits on ingredients or on salsa, even though we offered to pay more!), Rosie's was a great find!"
"Driving from Killeen TX to San Antonio just for this place. The service from the ladies that work there was awesome, they gave us samples of Barbacoda, Menudo, and their Salsa they make there. Also gave us tortillas.Everything was great thank you guys."
"El Portón has quickly become our go to spot for tacos and Mexican food. It's a great hometown restaurant, just a couple blocks east of the expressway on University Dr. I have been four times, and each time the quality of the food and service has been excellent. The freshly made tortillas are delicious. They offer a variety of tacos, hamburgers and seafood. They have the usual tacos of bistec, fajita, trompo (al pastor), and chicken. They also offer cabeza, tripa, fish and shrimp.Taco orders include chips and salsa, as well as delicious charro beans. I was grateful the charro beans don't have chunks of pig skin or hot dogs floating in them. There are daily specials for lunch and for dinner. I want to come on a Thursday for lunch for the enchiladas suizas! The staff has been very pleasant and efficient each time I've come. The dining room is eclectically decorated with a souvenir plate collection as well as a collection of oil lamps displayed on shelves. The atmosphere is pleasant and family oriented. There is a TV (silent when I've been). There is music (usually norteño), but not too loud. The salsa is spicy but good. I prefer the green salsa. The panchos have shredded fajita meat and are great. I also love the loaded chicken tostadas! Awesome! My favorite tacos are the Tacos Monterrey which include avocado and grated white Mexican cheese (queso fresco). My wife loves the tacos de bistec and the papas (potatoes). The parking lot is limited but nice. I've not seen the bathrooms, but the dining area is always spotless. So I would think their cleanliness extends there too. We've only ordered take out as it's close to home, but I would enjoy dining in and believe you will also."
"I picked up a few taco orders for my sisters coming in from Austin. This place was slightly hard to find. It is located next to a tire/auto shop off Nacogdoches. The food is cooked out of a food truck while they sell aqua frescos and other snacks out of a covered patio area. For around $20 we got an order of the Asada, Al Pastor and Chicken (4 tacos per order) which was a good price. The best of the 3 types was the Asada tacos. The chicken was on the drier side and the Al pastor had a weird texture/chew to it. Their hot sauces however were good but beware very hot! This is an outdoor dining area so very laid back. There is covered and uncovered bench seating. They do open very late in the wee hours of the morning...so perfect after coming from a bar to sober up on some tacos/food."
"I was in Corpus for 2 days for work and this was the place that my friend whom lived locally recommended. I came here both days because it was so good and the prices are fair. The first day I went with my norm which is beef and chicken enchiladas, chicken tortilla soup, and queso. I know, I'm a pig :p All were delicious. The service was decent, but thats whats expected at places like this. The second day I had fish tacos. Again, it was great. I know that if i come here again, I def would eat here everyday all day!"
"What a hidden gem! Came here with a friend at their recommendation for breakfast. The place is clean. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the food is delicious. I was so impressed with everything that I would definitely come back here and bring others. The portions are large. The prices are reasonable and when it comes with a smile and a thank you it makes the whole experience 1000 times better."
"Don't pass up this hidden place. It's very unassuming and since it's off a highway, easy to miss. I know since I passed it up. Seating area is small maybe about 10 tables all together. The menu is handwritten and posted on a fridge. The food is fantastic!! I would have expected the corn and flour tortillas to be handmade but, the chorizo, chicharron and sausage too! Be still my heart. I went for breakfast and ordered a chorizo and bean taco. It tasted great, lots of meat and very filling. There'a no way I was leaving without trying their chicharron in salsa so I ordered 2 to go. My husband said we need to make a special trip, yes they were that good!"
"Stopped by here the other day for lunch and got the medium pollo asado plate which was half a chicken with a side of Fidelo, rice, and tortillas. It was delicious! The plate was so big for only $7.75! You definitely get more than what you pay for in my opinion. I would recommend giving this place a try you won't regret it."
"Had to stop and taste what people said were the best tamales from san antonio to corpus cristy texas. Pulled up to the little tamale hut and got 2 dozen fresh heated beef and pork tamles and one spicy beef and pork. Very hot from the warmer, all three so had to quickly open the spicy, thought they were a very good size maybe a little smaller than normal but not by much the flavor was very good and the meat inside was so flavorful so was the masa. Problem I had was they needed more meat, a couple of tamles we had the last two inches had no meat at all, but the masa had great flavor and very tender. I would buy again. I would say again put a little more meat and you got a killer tamale.."
"I am hesitant to try Mexican restaurants because I am very choosy about them. I was convinced to give it a try and I was very impressed. Not only was the food very good, but the staff was exceptional. This will now be my go-to stop for Mexican when I'm in Victoria."
"The Mexican food was once great at this place but today, it is not worth stopping after breakfast. The breakfast tacos really work - Mon-Friday - they have a special on three tacos... otherwise - think about eating elsewhere for Mexican for lunch or dinner. The word is that it is for sale..."
"Stopped here for breakfast tacos. Service was fast and friendly. The chorizo and egg taco was.....okay, but made better by the green salsa they give. The potato and egg taco was good. My only other disappointment was the store-bought tortillas they use. Prices were okay. If we happen to be in the area again, we'll stop there."
"The location is not bad, it's located near Pollys Pet Shop, and the food is very well prepared. I liked the tacos and salsa they bring to the table. It has three different salsa options. I like the very friendly staff as well, and it made the experience more enjoyable. I wish there were outdoor seating because that would be the icing on the cake"
"Not a bad "hole in the wall" taqueria. Okay, it's not a complete dive as West-side locals flock to this place for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. There are a few Las Milpas around town, and I have never been disappointed with food or service at any location. This one is probably my favorite as it is conveniently located across the street from one of my favorite HEB's. Food is good Corpus taqueria fare. Nothing to complain about. Service is always really good. Despite broken English/Spanglish language barriers, they take care to listen carefully - it did not take very long for my server to understand certain foods caused me digestive distress. Would highly recommend if on this side of town."
