"Awesome butcher shop. I'm so happy I found this place. Bone marrow is so hard to find, but they have it here! And great quality. I love that they can cut it anyway you desire and the pieces had quite a bit of marrow on them. I'll definitely be back to try more!"
"When writing reviews I try to take three factors into consideration. These are, Location, Price, and Food quality. In order to provide readers with a fair balanced review of an establishment I try to balance these three things. The Gonzales Food Market is in the historic district of downtown Gonzales, and one look around will tell you that the aim of this place is to preserve the old fashion historic feel and ambiance. The Gonzales Food Market holds true to this genre. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you have stepped back in time a few decades to a simpler time. We arrived just a half hour before closing, but they still had plenty of food ready to go, even though there were not many people left in the restaurant. The staff was polite and it seemed as though they were tired from a long hard day, which is to be expected at that time. We were served promptly and found a table in the back to sit down at. I was surprised at the low price we paid for Texas BBQ, which tends to run on the pricy side. The food was good for the price and we got plenty to eat. I got the half Chicken plate and my wife got the Lamb ribs and Brisket plate. Everything was good except for the lamb ribs were nothing but pure fat with no sign of any meat. It may have been the time of the day and this was all that was left, but it was what it was.Aside from the lamb ribs, the place could use some maintenance and brightening up. It is one thing to keep the rustic historic feel, but it does not mean that things need to look run down to achieve that. With a little spit and polish and some good lighting, this place could feel a lot warmer. While the food is decent for the price, the general feel of the place does not incite the feelings of wanting to go back. I probably will, but I am saying this for the owner's sake to give them some advice on how they can improve this business.Bottom Line: I think the Gonzales Food Market is a good place for some reasonably priced Texas BBQ. It seems like a nice little family-run business and I wish them the best."
"I always will Drive Pass Masala pantry most of the time . I finally decided to try them out and I was pleased! Available parking options . Well organized store . Nice price. You do not have to drive far off into town to get some Indian food no more . Customer service is great . I love the samosas! I believe it's buy one get one free!"
"Midway Food Market is my go to placeFor fresh cuts of beef, home style sausages and the spices/seasoning you need to make a great grilled dinner. The grocery is small so you're not going to get the same choices as an H-E-B or. Kroger, but what they have is better in quality and tastes. I have come to find that most of the meats I get at the big grocery stores are prone to be flavorless stuff. Not so at Midway. Try their fresh cut Porterhouse on your grill. You can't go wrong"

The best meat in town! Always fresh, great marbling, and ooooh the flavor. The guys are super helpful and great to get to know. They also have Salmon which is fresh and not farmed. I've gone to HEB, Costco, Randals and all their meat is bland.

GREAT food if you go to the little cafe in the back! The garlic naan was super delicious. We ordered the chicken tikka masala, and tried the samosas. Everything was tasty and fresh. We wish there was more seating but we had plenty since it was a slower day. We will be back. Dine in or take out, I highly recommend both. Check out their daily specials if you want to save some change, I wish we did that prior to us ordering but know for next time.

This is the second meat processor in the greater Houston area I have tried, and this is by far my favorite one! The venison sausages are amazing. Just so juicy, flavorful, and fresh. While waiting for the order to be fulfilled, they graciously offered two complimentary sausages and two glassware. Now I'm on a mission to find a nearby brewery... With 4 hind quarters and 2 shoulders dropped off, a total of 20lbs of sausage, roughly 15lbs of ground meat, and 12 steaks were picked up. Can't wait to return after more hunting trips!

This is a nice market serving affordable cuts of meat. They also have some produce, frozen specialty meats, alcohol, canned products, and seasonings.Inside the market does have a bit of a funky smell but I have noticed that all of the meat is red and fresh. I don't have a problem with it personally. They do make their own sausages and chorizo which is great! And it is a really great price! One small package of pan sausage cost me about $1.50.Location is on Staples and Yorktown Blvd right across the street from the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema.

"Hands down the best meat market in South Texas. Great products from local ranchers, etc. Owned and operated by the friendliest down-to-earth people. And wouldn't you know it, it is currently within walking distance from where I reside on the Southside. They will be moving down the road in the next year or so to a brand new bigger facility. It will be slightly more inconvenient to me, but the expansion is much needed given their current business demands. If you are in Corpus and plan to do some grilling or throw a barbecue, this is your place!"
"We love Prescott Meat Market. We have been going there for many years, love the service and the friendiness. You can't beat the prices, it's very reasonable and also the lottery is a big winner. Highly recommend them."
