Jay W. "This motel is a gem. It's just across the street from the dock and jetty. The view is amazing. It is also just a little over a block to the main downtown area of Rockport. It's an easy walk. The motel is small but was totaled redone after Hurrican Harvey came through. Thus, everything is new and fresh. Like I said, it's a gem. We loved staying here. The staff are great. They're friendly and try to hard to please ... very nice people. We were in one of the rooms with a single bed and there are no tables for "stuff" or "laptops" in the 3 similar rooms. However, no problem as there is an ironing board I lowered down to use as the table. It worked perfectly! Rooms have new microwaves and refrigerators too. Beds are very comfortable.Like I said, this place is a gem. I can't believe it hasn't been reviewed on Yelp before. We would definitely chose to stay here again."

Otesia E. "I came here 8/17 to 8/20. I liked the space. The Condo itself was nice. I liked the fact that it was located close to plenty of restaurants and White Cap beach was right down the way. Even though, I visited the beach for less than an hour during my trip, because the heat and I don't work well together. I had to get use to going up and down 3 sets of concrete stairs though. When I first got there, it was so hot, and lugging all of my stuff and food was a beast. The patio windows in both the living room and bedroom were dirty. The Patios needed to be power washed. It seems as if it has not been cleaned before. The chairs were also dirty. There was a bucket of cigarette butts in a pail and butts in the cracks of the patio. The Keurig needed to be cleaned as well. Overall, I did enjoy my stay! The condo that I rented was clean for the most part, besides what I mentioned."

Sarah M. "I stayed at the Inn on Main in room #2 from 06/01/2015 - 06/03/2015. I found the bed and breakfast to be absolutely lovely. It has hardwood floors, antiques, and character. There is an awesome front porch that lends itself to enjoying the evening, and I even loved that it was across the street from the public library. I am a state employee, and the Inn on Main accepted the state rate - which was excellent considering that many of the name brand hotels in Victoria were way over the current state rate.Pros:* WiFi* Private bathroom* Very good air conditioner* Televisions* Come and go as you please* Parking is very convenientCons:* Even though this lovely inn is located on Main Street there are only a handful of restaurants within walking distance, and nothing that is open in the evenings. However, if you have a car this would not be an issue because there are places easy to drive to.* There is not really a breakfast at The Inn on Main. There are items in the kitchen that could be used for breakfast, but it is all cold such as cereal. * The room is not cleaned daily, but I believe an email to James the owner - would probably render clean towels if needed. All in all, I would recommend The Inn on Main if you are coming to Victoria because of its unique charm and lovely environment."

I certainly chose the right hotel during my trip to Texas! The owner, forgive me that I forgot her name, was so polite and professional the whole time during our stay. It wasn't a 5 star hotel, but she made sure we got treated like it was. They do have complimentary breakfast in the morning. They also have a break water in the back which leads to Corpus Christi Bay. The room was decent in size. It had a fridge and a working ac unit. There are a few restaurants within walking distance if you're hungry. The best thing is the view of the USS Lexington right in front, which is a must to check out when you're in town. If I am ever back in the area, I will be more than happy to stay here again. Loved it, and probably will again!!"

I am VERY PICKY where we stay when we travel and was a little hesitant to stay in a hotel in a small town.We were here visiting some relatives but didn't want to stay in hotels in nearby towns which were a good 20 minutes plus away from our family. So we opted to stay here...AND... it was better than expected.Upon our arrival ( made the reservation online) they made sure our room was nice and cool ( and in this part of Texas.... we greatly appreciated walking into a cool room). AND A VERY CLEAN ROOM!!!The gentleman working the front desk was very pleasant had a great sense of humor.. we KNEW we weren't staying in San Antonio, or any other big city with a luxury Hotel. BUT WE Applaud their effort to making it a very nice stay. ( which it was)We would stay again when we are back this way and recommend it as well."

It is easy to walk to several restaurants and it is surrounded by neighborhoods so you can walk/run around outside. They serve a complimentary breakfast. Erin M. "These guys need more reviews!! We just got home from a long weekend stay for my birthday and it was a great experience. 1. LocationSooo close to the beach!! 5 minute walk. It's also a 5 minute drive to anywhere you'd want to eat, drink or shop. 2. Condition of the cottageExcellent! Clean and cozy. We love the colors of the cottage and the floors. It's seriously what you expect of a beach cottage. Did I mention, it was clean!? 3. KitchenettePerfect. They had everything your kitchen at your house has. We brought some things from home but didn't even need to use them. The oven and microwave worked perfectly. 4. BedIf I was giving stars for the bed I'd only give one. It was sooooooooo uncomfortable. It was very loud too! Also they only have queen beds in the cottages and we have a king at our house. 5. Fans/air conditioningThere is a great ceiling fan and they have air conditioning. The a/c keeps the cottage very cool however it's very loud and it goes on and off when it's reached the degree you set it at. So I got woken up at least 2 times every night from it turning on or off. 6. The soundYes, I will say the windows are thin. You will hear everything outside and soo will your dog. I almost shoved a muzzle on her lol She kept barking every time a door shut/opened/person walked by talking. Also, there is a palm tree right outside the cottage we stayed in (#2) and I'm like 99% sure 5348923 birds live in it. 7. The bathroomClean and the shower is great! Loved it! Oh, they have towel warmers too! 8. The TVFlat screen and lovely. :) 9. The priceEh..not bad but not cheap. I'd say on point for what you're getting! 10. The staffVery nice and accommodating.11. The pool and grill area. The pools are awesome! Especially the heated salt water pool. The grills worked out just fine for us except the sprinklers did turn on right as we got the grill heated up. Luckily we salvaged the charcoal and moved to another grill. The owner or whoever works up front made sure the sprinklers at the grill we moved to wouldn't turn on. That was really nice of him. He was also apologetic. 12. Dog friendly. They're dog friendly! 13. The groundsVery pretty!! Very well kept!! We'd stay there again!"

Floyd M. "This place is absolute garbage. Before stopping by, I called on the phone, and the guy who answered was very rude, telling me if I really wanted the room to show up, otherwise, I wouldn't be able to get one. It wasn't what he said, it's his rude tone, loud voice, and attitude. So I show up there, and the guy who had said it was $60 a night, gave me a $72 charge, so my girlfriend just asked me to double check what charges the other 12 dollars were from. He immediately became defensive, yelled, shouted, screamed, pointed his finger in her face exclaiming that he did not rip us off. And we kept trying to calm this raging guy down explaining that we did not accuse him, we were merely about to ask him what the charges were about. My girlfriend did nothing wrong and I feel absolutely horrible about how her, and even I, were treated. We eventually got a partial refund, and the guy once again was yelling, pointing his finger in our faces, and kept repeating himself a 100x. I explained its not what he said, but his tone, and he simply could not comprehend nor rationalize our side of the story. So we just left. The police was almost called. And it's quite strange that he was the only one yelling while his family was just standing there watching. Never again. Plus, I caught a glimpse of the inside of one of the hotel rooms, and it seems tiny and untidy. It's definitely not a place I would want to sleep in, and if I would have known that prior to the vicious, anger filled encounter, I would never have suggested to check the place out. Definitely ruined the night, and definitely not dropping by there again. By the way, the guy's name is Rohitkumar Bhakta. We cautious and aware if you do happen to see him as he easily gets aggressive in tone and on the defensive."

Once we got settled in, I noticed that the staff seemed to have higher morale and a genuine desire to be of service. Combined with the high quality of the facilities, it made for a great experience. We stayed on the pool side for convenience; for a slightly higher price, you can choose a room on the bay side. You can also enjoy the bay views from the Palm Room restaurant, where we had breakfast every day. We also had dinner there one night and enjoyed the selections of fish, seafood, vegetables, fries, etc. The lobby has a coffee bar that's always prepped for guests. The building has Victorian styling and a historic feel, but it was built in 2003 and rebuilt after Hurricane Harvey (2017), so you get the best of both worlds -- larger rooms, modern conveniences like mini fridges and microwaves. The library room has books and games to grab. There are laundry and fitness rooms, too. On this stretch of Rockport-Fulton there's nearby the Fulton Mansion to visit, Charlotte Plummers seafood restaurant, golf cart rentals at Duck Blind (so you can drive your sandy selves to and from Rockport Beach), boat tours, kayak rentals, etc.--lots of experiences to try. Or you can sit in a lounge chair and stare at the bay."

We were looking for a modern, budget and dog-friendly hotel near the beach, and the Seaside Boutique Hotel fit the bill perfectly. Note: This is a 3-star hotel, recently renovated, and while it lacks the lavish details of a Four Seasons or Marriott, for a quick 24-hour getaway in Port Aransas, we were happy with the location and hospitable service.A few other notes: -Each room has its own AC unit and dehumidifier-The showers and rooms aren't the cleanest--understandably, given the wear and tear from all the families, sand, and ocean water it sees-Towels and linens all had permanent stains on them-All rooms have Smart TVs, but the internet was spotty and didn't work for most of the night due to the poor signal-The hotel is walkable to the beach, and closer than most other hotels. A heads-up: if you don't have a beach parking permit to park directly on the beach, you could risk a hefty $500 fineWhen we checked out the next day, we couldn't stop raving about the service from Nancy and the sweet lady who took care of me and everyone else in the cafe.
