Fresh ingredients, choice of bread, great service and easy pick up plus the price it made a food balance to otherwise overpriced food in Port Aransas. We picked up Subway for lunch each day while we stayed here and it was delicious each time."

"Stopped in this Ash Wednesday to try your flounder fillet sandwich. 2 cars in front placed order 2 classic flounder fish combos. Was told it would be 8 minutes for the fish. Was ok with this paid and asked to pull forward. 11 minutes later a runner came out with order told us to have a blessed day. Found a parking spot and started to eat dinner. Sandwichs were very spicy. Went to get a sip of my tea no straw. Looked for napkins to wipe my face none. Ok went for the ketchup for my fries none. Wife got on the phone no answer tried again no answer. Dining room was not busy drive thru a couple of cars while we were there eating. Drove home tried calling again still no answer. When I go out for food I pay for the whole experience not a half ass one . Never asked for spicy and got it anyway."

"We've been twice. The first time we went the barbacoa was cold. It just opened so we tried it again. The next time chicken and steak was cold. I don't think the steamers are working. We got done to bottom layer of chips and they were SOGGY. The lady gave us a dirty look because it wasn't a full bag but we paid for a full bag and we expect the whole bag to be edible. The manager told her to give us another bag. The WHOLE BAG was soggy. I hope you get the kinks out but this was a miserable experience."

"Every single time I have been to this location it is absolutely terrible and I feel so ripped off. I ordered online at 8:04 and drove away at 8:52 pm. As soon as I pulled up to the window all the guy said was "pull forward please." So I sat and waited for the longest time for someone to bring a grease covered bag out with the boxes of food literally thrown in. And this is what $50.00 and a waste of 45 minutes got me, burned, dry unappetizing food with the worst possible service. I blame myself for not learning my lesson the first times. I have learned this time and will never be back and I do not recommend anyone waste their money."

"Believe the hype. I have tried this place on 4 separate occasions on random days and this is what I have found.+ Burgers are consistently good, juicy and flavorful. Love the way they grill the buns. I prefer the Huebner (mushroom swiss)+ Fries are good- better than Burger Boy's crinkle fries imo~Onion rings have been great 2/4 times. The seasoning was off the last two times but there is potential. Overall very good burgers, definitely recommend especially on this side of town where good local restaurants are rare."

The famous Calysta J and I were headed to SPI for Easter and we made the required three stops -- each time because I got the short end of the bladder stick. One of those was near Good N Crisp and being very adventurous, she ordered a chicken strip meal. Four strips, a side, some gravy. Four strips turned out to be eight hot and fresh pieces of chicken. These things were HUGE. The flavor was fantastic and they tasted similar to golden chicks -- except with much more generous portions. Dock a star for the really strange antiseptic smell in the building."

"When I posted the initial picture of the bag and it had the hallmarks of an elite hood establishment, I was dumb excited. You know the telltale signs: the order written on the bag, the cash only transactions, and of course the grease stains that turn the bag fibers translucent like the mosaics at a Catholic Church... it feels like you're about to be blessed for sure.Unfortunately it was actually the franchise that never was. The walk up store front has a large menu with all the prices and the kind lady takes your order on the bag. The prices are very friendly; the cash only joint has a variety of options. We chose a chicken leg, a chicken sandwich, the Che's bacon cheeseburger, fries, and an apple pie. I drove to the nearby Mission Park for a comfy seat and laid out my loot. My initial excitement soon turned to pretty ho hum results. The chicken combo was pretty regular, very much like Church's, which not a bad thing but I expected more; it wasn't bad and was juicy but that's about it. The chicken burger which super hyped up was a pretty standard chicken patty with a regular bun; better than a BK Chicken but is that the bar? Speaking of which, the apple pie I was anticipating was a Golden Arches doppelgänger; just a tad crispier but nothing I would rave about. Hood joint burgers are typically greasy, loaded with flavor, and often overkill. Che's Bacon Cheeseburger wasn't all that greasy, had a good taste, and wasn't overkill. This time the muse was your standard #5 at Whataburger. The mustard and mayo combo did stand out on an otherwise slightly above average burger.The fries were the standouts; homestyle crinkly cut, fat, salty fries were the only flashback to the hood joints of yesteryear.Look, it's not a bad place and I'm sure folks in the neighborhood swear by it, but sometimes nostalgia gives a shine to spots that actually are a little less stellar. Add the fact this almost seems like this is the little franchise that never was, and you have a spot that's good enough for it's hood, but not hood enough to be good. Pro tip: I wanted to really love this place; growing up in the Southside of San Antonio, Griffs on Pleasanton was and still is the hood joint of preference. Check my review."

The restaurant was not. I got there on Friday at 1048am (they open at 1030am according to the door) and was the only customer inside the entire time I was there. There was food crumbs in the seat of the booth, food underneath the tables, the rugs were FILTHY, the drain for the tea had dried/crusted something, and the soda machine had dried, sticky (what I assume to be) syrup in the back and underneath - which meant anything and everything stuck to it. Scared that if the customer-facing part of the restaurant looks like this then what does the kitchen look like."

"We've been to this location three times in the past couple of weeks, each time during the week and after 8pm. Each time we've been the store has been clean and the employees have all been friendly and prompt. They haven't been super busy any of the times, but there are usually at least a couple of customers ahead of us. I've gotten the same sandwich from Subway for the past twenty years. I've gotten it in multiple states and have always gotten the same results - delicious. Well, except for that one girl in Destin that insisted on nuking my bacon (I prefer it as is) and that location in Ann Arbor that no longer offers spicy mustard. Other than those two experiences, hundreds of other experiences have been awesome. These visits are no different. My husband has gotten something different each visit - all good results. We both get the combos - chips and drinks with our sandwiches, and we've paid under $18 and each visit. Thumbs up =)"

"My first meal of 2024 was from this McDonald's and frankly it wasn't too bad. I haven't had McDonald's in years because I am not a huge fan of fast food, so I don't really have a point of reference between good or bad McDonald's. However, it was new year's day and everything was closed except Whataburger and McDonald's. The line at the other fast food place was absolutely insane and it was not moving, so we decided to give this one a chance. We were the first ones in line and were able to get our food in just 5 minutes. They even gave us a little cup with whipped cream for my dog which I thought it was pretty nice of them. Overall the food was decent...not award winning, but it hit the spot. I would definitely come back to this McDonald's for a quick bite after visiting Rockport beach."
