"I had heard people talking about Grand Buffet before, and they had said good things about it. Myself, my husband, and my 10 year old decided to give it a try on Thursday around 11:40am.It wasn't too crowded when we arrived. We were seated pretty much right away. Our server was really nice and took our drink order as soon as we sat down. There was quite a selection of Chinese food as well as some American and kid friendly options like chicken nuggets and cheese pizza. There was also a beef pot roast. My kid liked the egg rolls and the noodles. I had the fried rice, lo mein, puffy chicken, okra, cheese pizza, and the roasted veggies. The okra and rice did need some salt, but I put soy sauce on it, and it was good, same with the puffy chicken. The cheese pizza was good as was the lo mein. Roasted veggies were also good. My husband had the pork and sweet and sour chicken. He said it was good. We didn't have any dessert, but my kid got jello and said it was good. There is also a small salad bar, but we didn't use it.My husband said he wishes that the food at the buffet bar was labeled because it's sometimes a guessing game as to what things are.Restaurant was very clean and staff would clear the tables as soon as people would leave. There were also good at taking away dirty plates when we were done with them.I do wish Grand Buffet had a bit more of an atmosphere. It feels more like a quick pop up restaurant. It needs a bit more decoration or something. It just feels a bit...empty I guess? They did have music playing which helped with the ambiance a bit. I did like that there is plenty of seating though.Staff were all friendly and very helpful. For two adults and a 10 year old child we paid around $37.64 before tip. This was for two adult buffets and a child buffet. I had water which was free, but my husband a kid each had a soda.We will definitely go back to Grand Buffet in the future. It exceeded our expectations!"
"This place felt like the epitome of a Texas roadside taqueria. The service was very efficient, and we got our food super fast for our party of 16. I had the Mexican Plate, which was a huge portion for a good price. It tasted really good, but some of my friends noted that the presentation made the food look unappetizing. There were so many items on the menu, and they all looked pretty much the same, so I think they should scale it down because the vast number of options is overwhelming and offputting. The bathrooms were surprisingly clean."
"all dishes were great! deserts were very tasty and a great serving size, after i stuffed myself"
"Authentic home made Mexican cuisine, grandma's recipes and delicious desserts, late night al pastor and carne asada tacos late night on Thursday 's and Friday's, come Saturday for the buffet to cure that Friday night hangover!"
"Solid Chinese buffet. They didn't have the hibachi and steak grill open but they still had many many options. I tried a little bit or everything and it was delicious. The place is big and has plenty of seating. Dinner is 11.99 and for that they had plenty of different kinds of shrimp. They also had steak on the steam table, cut in pieces and seasoned very well.Overall this is a well rounded buffet. You won't have a problem finding something you like. Service was good. A sign on the door said that buffets are buy one get one free the last hour they are open which is very interesting. Enjoy."
"Had the eggs and chorizo and they where good then tried the tripa tacos and they where absolutely awesome. Small place but good customer service."
"Great buffet. A little of everything you would expect on an asian buffet and more. Got there when they opened for lunch. Price was exceptional, 10$ including drink. Facilities were clean. Highly recommend and will be back when coming though this area"
"Could be a little more friendly on the customer service side. Other than that my hat goes off to the chefs keeping this establishment up float. The food was scary good. It's like one minute you're Fungry and the next minute you're on your 5th plate wondering if you'll be able to finish it.No matter how much you eat, you will still try to get desert. They have an ice cream machine that's also self serve. So my advice to you. Is portion yourself to enjoy everything they offer."
"Not exactly SA, but about 30 minutes south on 35...Charlie's Daughter on the Green at the golf course in Devine TX. Casual cafe. You feel welcomed as you enter. I had an outstanding biscuit with sausage gravy. The biscuit was light fluffy and at least 2 1/2 inches high!.My honey had a scramble of eggs, bacon and hasbrown with a grilled biscuit. Yummy food! Hometown favorite based on all the regulars we saw eating. Service fast and very personable. Well worth the drive to Devine. Not convinced yet, try their all you can eat catfish every Friday night."
"I must give it to the Queens Garden Restaurant, they have been around for a while and have stood the test of time. Other restaurants in the area have tried to make a run with the buffet but none have succeeded like Queens has. They run there buffet 7 days a week and everyday is different to a point. Everyday the two items that are always available are the chicken fried steak and the enchiladas. I know on Thursdays they offer pork chops on Friday they offer fried catfish and on Sunday they offer the whole turkey dinner. I must say that it is pretty good considering some days they have a stampede with all the surrounding oil field companies. On the weekends they also offer breakfast buffet but all in all if you want buffet this is the place."
"Who hasn't been to Luby's? I've been going to luby's since 1978...ummm yeah in one of the local malls. It was THE spot to be at for meals...fast forward to 2024 and they seem to be a dying breed of restaurant. I still enjoy coming to see the food selection and choose as I go. Had some great catfish today. I was very happy with how the fish was cooked and tasted. Would love to have more soon! The rice was just ok...not very tasty. The service was good, and our waitress came by frequently to check in. Overall it was a good visit, but definitely less frills than other restaurants nearby. It's always fairly quiet here. I like it."
"It's okay: a little pricey for an all you can eat buffet (over $15 a head) if you don't eat a full 8 inch in diameter plate. I would reccomend getting a take out box because you would probably get more food for your money in that case. Service is friendly. The food is the usual for an Asian Buffet, they do have a wide array of sushi: however, no "wow factor." Their sushi, fruits and veggies are very fresh tasting. The bathrooms filthy, avoid them if possible."

This is my favorite Chinese buffet restaurant! My husband and I have been eating there for several years; we followed them from their old location which was by Walmart and AT&T. They always have a very large selection of awesome food, including several desserts, along with great friendly service! The owners and staff are extremely warm and courteous, and at least one of the owners is always on the premises; when not, they always leave it in very good and trustworthy hands with my favorite of the wait staff. Don't just take my word for it! go see for yourself! And tell Jesse and Jimmy to save some for me!

Staff is always super friendly and always greets us when we walk in. The fried catfish is always really good and my husband always says that the ribs never disappoint. Staff is always on top of our drink refills and we have never had a bad experience.

Went there for a birthday dinner. The "lemon pepper fish" they had was a bucket of cold, murky water with bits of undercooked fish floating around. That's just one detailed example of one thing from there. Everything else from the fruit, to the meat, and especially the sushi looked like it had been sitting there the entire day. The smell/taste of the food was worse and the establishment as a whole just looked unclean. I'm not one to leave bad reviews like this, but I would try something else especially if you're hungry or like Chinese food.

Best Chinese food in Port Lavaca. The fried rice and orange chicken is the best. We come here every weekend. Cheap and a variety of food choices, including seafood and sushi. The service is good too. We will come back for sure.

We had a party of three adults, two kids and a baby. They had stockings hanging from the ceiling with names of employees, such as cute touch! I have never had Golden Corral for breakfast. We arrived half an hour before the switch to lunch. I was genuinely surprised at the variety of breakfast foods offered and hot and still serving at that time. They had everything from waffles, pancakes, chorizo con huevos, ham, French toast to cereal and yogurt. Their biscuits and sausage gravy, has brown casserole and ham were a favorite on my plate! I always look forward to going to this location, it never disappoints. I cannot get this quality in Houston!

"We had a little mixup with our room service because of Mother's Day crowds and the manager ( Lauren) went out of her way to make it up to us. she invited us downstairs to dine in on the second floor. All three dishes on the second floor at this cute little dining area attached to the bar came out great! . All dishes were amazing. They did a very good job with this restaurant. Today was super busy because of Mother's Day and a big thank you to all the employees who worked so hard today."
"The staff was friendly as soon as I walked in. The restaurant is nice and smells clean. The restroom was also clean. The food was the best part. They offer fresh sushi, a variety of fried foods such as fried fish, fried rice, egg rolls, and other delicious items. Although I did not have any dessert, they looked very tasty. I recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a good buffet in a clean, friendly restaurant."
"If you are in Sinton looking for a great meal look no further than the Butter Curn. Great home cooked food made fresh. Make sure you ask for Janie see is the best. Sweet, friendly and I bet you can get to the bottom a glass with her at your table."
"We had gone to eagle pass under awful circumstances and as we were driving around we came across this restaurant. We entered and right away we were seated and informed this was a buffet during the weekend. As we approached the food table you could tell there was a lot of variety. The tortillas were homemade and hot. They had real Mexican food bean and chorizo, refried beans, potato and eggs, chicharon con Chile and with egg, menudo, barbacoa, eggs a la Mexicana, pancakes, bacon and so much more including fruit. They asked us what we wanted to drink and we ordered tea and coffee and this was the only disappointing part because they never came back to refill other than this it was delicious and reasonably priced."
"Tried it for the first time today. Just exceptional! We got there at transition...we ate a little breakfast at the buffet, then they had set out the lunch buffet just about when we were ready for seconds!Everything was just fabulous. I am committed to eating healthy and there were some good, healthy options. Fruit, veggies, soups. The staff was attentive and trendy. They kept coming around to check on us.The variety...amazing!Love the decor. The beautiful floors, booths and murals create a nice and pleasant atmosphere."
"The place is alright. The pizza is ok for a buffet restaurant. The prices are ok. The buffet includes soft ice cream and "sweet" pizza. This is an "all you can eat" type of place. So it is a good option if your party is big and have a lot of hungry"
"Adorable little place in downtown Victoria. I came here for gifts for loved ones and they loved it because who can deny food haha. I love all their unique specialty jams and jellies. I haven't tried the casseroles only because I like to cook and prefer making my own but I'm sure they're good. Yall should really try it!"
"I stayed there in January 2021 and they took care of our whole family very well. Due to Covid meals could not be served but they did have things that we could make for ourselves. The rooms all had microwaves and refrigerators coffee and Soft drinks and water was available in the cafeteria. The staff is wonderful and bend over backward help with whatever you need. Everything is always so clean and refreshing."
"Wow. Excellent selections of all food. Hibachi was delicious. Best coconut shrimp and honey chicken ever. Extensive cold bar with salad and dessert options. Very impressed. Good food. Great service. We will be back"
"A great variety of entrees to suits anyone hungry appetite thousands of combinations to make along with a Mongolian grill and a sushi bar that makes fresh made to order rolls. Always clean and wait staff a courteous. The food is a authentic Chinese food. Highly recommended."
"Atmosphere: Very comforting but booth seats are hard, no cushion.Food: Salad bar was great but food was so-so. Quality is everything. If you don't start off with good quality food, you can't make great food. Service: Outstanding. Very friendly server and she even knew what we wanted/needed before we did."
"Chinese Buffet while visiting family in Corpus Christi?! Ok, let's go!The atmosphere is pretty great. As you walk in, there's a little coy pond with a water feature which is pretty relaxing and adds a little feng shui to the place. The service is pretty standard buffet. They kept drinks full, and were attentive enough to our needs. The food, I'd say, is just meh. We went at 11am right when they opened, and even then, it didn't seem fresh. Like the chicken was dried out, the fried foods were room temp at best, and the desserts tasted like they'd been left out... kind of mush and tasted off. Overall, for a cheap buffet experience, it's ok! But I wouldn't say this is a destination spot in CC."
"One of the only places open on Christmas Day for both lunch and dinner! Solid amount of food, maybe 40-50 different dishes. They have general tso's chicken, black pepper beef, broccoli and beef, stuffed mushrooms, crab Rangoon, crawfish, fried rice, chow mein, honey chicken, pizza, fries, Chinese donuts, garlic bread, fried chicken wings, and an assortment of desserts including puddings, cake, jello. I come here every time I visit Port Lavaca. Not a bad place if you're looking for quick Chinese food."
"For a buffet, I really enjoyed their food! Set your standards for a classic Chinese buffet and you should be impressed. Next time I want to cheat on my diet, I am heading here to eat!"
"I am not the biggest fan of buffet's due to the temperature variances of food. Hot is cold, cold is sometimes warm, not my thing. One thing that did stand out at this place was the extreme abundance of variety. If you don't like Asian food, don't fret, they have you covered with the normal kids staples like chicken strips and pizza but also things like enchiladas.Supposedly if you want a steak of some sort you can tell them and they will make one for you to your liking, but there was plenty of food to try that did not require that effort. The hot and sour soup is pretty decent, it is the one thing I went back for seconds on. The rest of the food had decent flavors but was never the right temperature due to the nature of a buffet. One additional thing, you don't ever have to stand around and wait for the food because they never let the trays go empty. By the time it is getting low they are already bringing out another batch to replace it. Much better than some buffet's I've been to.All in all, if you're a buffet person I would definitely recommend coming here. If you are not a buffet person then this place will not make you one but it a bit better than most."
"I've heard great things from my friends about this place and the rumors were true! The BBQ here is excellent for such an unassuming gas station restaurant. They have a BBQ buffet that has EVERYTHING! Brisket, ribs, sausage, chopped beef sausages, with SIDES! Definitely worth every penny! The portions are huge! My friends couldn't finish more than one plate. I would recommend this place looking for a lot of amazing BBQ!"
"Such a fun, lively restaurant with good food and friendly service. The inside is decorated like a western town. There's several stations to get buffet items such as bbq, veggies, salad, dessert, and sides. The food tastes fresh and good and the staff seems to be checking and refilling it all the time. It's also a very busy place - we went on a weekend for lunch! The prices was super reasonable. They also have hilarious Christian tshirts for sale. Such a fun place that I know I'll visit again."
"Excellent food! Everything was flavorful & delicious! Large servings!! Even the salsa came in big bowl not a tiny bowl like some other places...that's always our gripe because we love our salsa!!! Family owned & operated. The staff was friendly, helpful & made sure we had drinks, chips & salsa coming before ever running out. Lunch Buffet during the week 11-1 & Breakfast buffet on weekends. Ambiance was cozy, lots of plants, paintings & decor and great Mexican music playing! This place is a must try, you won't regret it!"
"I love the fresh sushi here. Drinks are bottled and bottomless. You can also order a variety of food items if not enjoying the sushi buffet. Fresh fruit and 2 salads (octopus and sea weed) are included on the buffet. The staff is so welcoming and the location was clean. We will be back."
"Service is good, the staff is friendly, they have a good variety of Asian food, plus some steaks, sausage and pizza. The place is family friendly with a good atmosphere to take the family."
"B ++++Nice little place. Clean and good service.I had the fajita plate. The portion could have been a bit larger, but it was the lunch special. Delicious though. Try it, fast... service"
"Found this spot on the way to the coast and it was a winner for sure....Can you say breakfast buffet...flashing back to Joey in Vegas...The service is exactly what you expect from an old school place....super sweet and friendly...Love the looks inside and out...also have a nice little store with various knick knacks....The food was outstanding and seriously some of the Best Bacon we have had...period.....Everything on the Buffet was fresh and hot...on the permanent radar for us."
"Delicious German and Southern food with quick and friendly service. Middle of the restaurant features a buffet and salad bar with a giant wedge of Colby as its centerpiece. Buffet looked OK, but we were happy with our decision to order off the menu instead. I got the wiener schnitzel, a magnificently large pork cutlet pounded thin and fried to a golden brown. Go all-out German and choose the German potatoes to go with the included red cabbage. My companion got the liver and onions - also a tremendous portion and full of livery flavor. Both meals included a trip to the salad bar, where I didn't pass up an opportunity to grab a hunk of the Colby. Apparently they have pie by the slice too, but we were too stuffed to think about it. Convenient to I-10 if you're traveling and want a break from the chain restaurants."
