"Needed a bottle of Chardonnay as a gift. B&L was close, so I decided to check it out. Very indiscriminate building and signage. But, upon entry, I was greeted by Shanna, and she instantly engaged me in a discussion about bourbon. She proved to be knowledgeable and we chatted a bit....then she turned me on to a special varietal of Basil Hayden's. I purchased it and had to drive all the way to San Antonio before opening the bottle, which was torture. Thank you, Shanna. Your pleasant demeanor and welcomed advice made my night. My advice to those of you in the area is to patronize B&L. Neighborly service is a lost art that Shanna still practices. Spending a tad more for a bottle is worth that kind of experience."
"We love Prescott Meat Market. We have been going there for many years, love the service and the friendiness. You can't beat the prices, it's very reasonable and also the lottery is a big winner. Highly recommend them."
"Great little place to grab a drink, tacos, and "beer food." They have specialty items like duck and fig quesadillas, boudin tacos, and escargot, but also the regular stuff like bistec, pork, chicken, and brisket. They also offer a good variety of beer ($4-5) and mixed drinks ($7-8), as well as dessert such as fresh made churros (with caramel dip) and the "chaco taco," a fried chocolate taco shell with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. The churros were pretty descent fresh, but the chaco taco was just ok (more for the novelty). The food is descent (portions are a bit small), and drinks are pretty good. If you're in the area and looking for a place open a little later than other places around town, this is a cool, casual, divey place to go."
"This place is a small local business that has found a way to pack the shelves here. The reason I came here is because I was looking for a particular whiskey that was only available here. Of all places in this area this is where I found what I was looking for. I'm sure it was just the moment but while I was here the debit card was not working, I ended up going down the street to an atm and came back for my purchase. On a good note they do have a drive thru which is nice and convenient. Oh and they are a bit on the pricey side...but all in all it's all good."
"Lil store with a nice e variety of spirits. Friendly staff. Not to many mixers but what they do carry were a good variety. Decent prices and overall this store carries most of what you need."
"Service is great. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Good selection and well stocked."
"I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! I could not say it anymore with emphasis. Today I had the a Tigers Claw (AKA calzone) and fried mushrooms. The people are great, customer service is great, and the food... Yes, if I could give it a 10 star, I so so would. Their food is what I would say, "mouth watering" and I can use the phrase, "to die for"! If you have ready any of my other reviews on yelp or anywhere else, I don't give this high of a kudos to a business or a place. Goliad Texas has a secret gem in its mist, and it's this place for sure. Great customer service way above and beyond and they are always doing improvements. If you are hungry and you're in the area, or want to try someplace new. This is it! I could not speak any higher of anyplace yet thus far."
"By far the best place to hang out with family or friends. Cold drinks, family friendly, check out the atmosphere. Try it and see promise you will go back."
"I see Spec's is in town (it's been a while since I've been to Corpus). I love Spec's, but my Beach Beverage Allegiance lies with Liquid Town. It was there before "The Plus" moved in, and may it be there ever long. You warm me on the inside when I'm at the beach, Liquid Town. I love thee.So it's pretty much just a decently stocked liquor store on the way to the island.....with a fantastic name. What else do you need??"
"I love shopping at locally owned businesses! Billy always remembers your name and takes the time to chat and be friendly. I've seen him specially order wines or alcohol for other customers and provide excellent customer service. Yes, the store could use some renovation, but business isn't what it used to be before Specks moved to town. Great store all around. -Repeat Customer"
"The quaint outdoor patio seating and great music is what drew me in to this location. The personable owner and delicious food is what will keep me coming back! The wings were fairly large, but the real winner was the house wing sauce- spicy raspberry, a sweet sauce with a kick! Live music Friday's and Saturday's too? Say less. I'll be coming back for that"

Over all a good selection and a very nice owner. I was pleased with my experience here. However, what is making it a 3/5 is the fact of pricing. There are three brands of wine that I know the pricing like no other. At this place m, it was marked up by 40%-50%. A bottle I am used to paying no more then $7.99, costs me there $11-$14. When it came to the beer, the pricing was better but still higher. I don't mind paying a little more for what I want when it is a independent store, but I am not going to pay when it is that high. I will give this store one more chance but I most likely won't be back.

If you want a fancy place to eat....not here! But the tacos are delicious and a note about them. They are the size of street tacos. The shrimp tacos were our favorite.

This is a tiny liquor store. This store obviously isn't run by Jeff Bezos. There's no one-hour Prime delivery. I don't know quite what they're going for in this liquor store. They're all over the place. They have some expensive bottles of liquor that are covered in dust, that look like they haven't been touched in quite some time. It seems that the cheaper liquor is what gets moved here. Lots of it. I saw one of the urban campers who seem to be an enthusiast of this store out at the intersection exuberantly waving at passing cars while taking a sip. This store has packed aisles. Everything is jammed in here pretty tightly. They have big ol' mirrors set up in here to make sure you don't slip a flask in your pocket. The beer selection here is pretty pitiful. They had no local beers. The coolers were mainly set up for liquor. I'd keep shopping unless you're thirsty.

We stayed at a hotel across the street and from day one we noticed this place always had customers from the moment it opened. One day we were leaving at 10 am from the hotel which it when this store opens and already 3 cars! Popular! We went inside to pick up some liquor for the night. Small place but well stocked and found Dough Ball, last bottle of cookie dough flavored whiskey so we got it!!The lady at the counter was all smiles and friendly. Outside they have one of those ice producing kiosk things that you can fill up bags or ice chests and was also popular which I believe helped the popularity of this place. We were not here long so no major pluses or minuses. Going by the business though they must be doing something right.

"What a hidden gem. Hands down, the best market in the area. I was love struck from the moment I walked in. It's like a version of Whole Foods with the small town charm. Very affordable, too. My new go-place for fresh flowers, eggs and organic produce. Everything is hand selected with love and care. What a true joy to visit. It's most definitely worth the drive to Flatonia, Texas."
"Had a nice variety in stock, low prices comparable to bigger competitors. Good service"
"Very nice store. Good service and selection. Salesperson there made some helpful recommendations. I will go there again. Less pricey then other places in Kingsville."
"There's really not much out here in Sargent/Hawkinsville/"Bay City" (Bay City is in quotes because this area is 25 miles outside of Bay City proper), so having a liquor store is definitely useful. It's small but packed with all the items you'd need - beer, wine, and well, liquor. We picked up a bottle of Jose Cuervo margarita and a bottle of Captain Morgan, both of which were the same price we'd pay in Austin, so it's good to know we weren't being ripped off just because this is about the only place for a good half hour to get some booze. The employee was also very friendly and gave us suggestions for where to eat while we were in the area.Note that Senor Wood's is located at the T of FM 457 and FM 2611."
"I came here looking for a specific bottle of cherry whiskey and I found it. Easy to find place on a pretty busy side of town. It might now have great appeal but it sure has a good variety of adult drinks. A bit pricey but it's ok I ain't gonna sweet it. The store looks pretty well kept and clean but it seems as the organization of its drinks needs a lil bit of updating. I think it's more of an upgrade to its decor. All in all I will come back for some more spirits..."
"Great hospitality at Andrews. Was able to use their large conference room for a retail group meeting. Great facility!"
"Stopped in to restock and had a great experience...Great business, super friendly people. Buy local!!!!"
"We were across the street trying to go to dinner and there was around a 30 minute wait. We heard music here from across the street so decided to come check it out! This place looks like it has a drive through beer portion during the day. It has swings all around the bar and throughout the bar, but has some tables also. They had live music when we were there and the guy was playing songs by whiskey Myers, Stoney larue, Shane smith and the saints, and was a really awesome vibe. We got a Dos Equis dressed and it was really fresh, but they also offer cocktails and other drinks. This place is currently cash only, but they have an atm on site. Good drinks and an awesome vibe. We will definitely add this to our Port A list of must dos!"
"This place has stood the test of time, it's been here a while. They have a descent variety and staff are helpful in finding what you are looking for, they even recommend there own favorites. It sits on a great location and prices are average."
"Limited wine selection but great convenience and proximity to the Ginger Cafe! If you have forgotten to bring your own bottle from your personal seller for dinner at the BYOB restaurant, the Ginger Café, stop in and pick up a bottle of one of the reasonably priced, delightfully quaffable red blends from the bottle shop! When greeted by smiling and helpful shop keeps, it is hard to resist the charm and draw of "under $20" offerings of California or South American red. The shelves are fully stocked with liquor carrying popular brands of many different types and varieties."
"Great selection of wines and all types of spirits. They also have some gift items as well. Wine glasses both stemless and with stems. Definitely worth a stop for all your favorite libations!!"
"A little hole in the wall but very very friendly counter woman helped us a lot they did not have a lot in line nor champagne by the gift sacks and beer were very ample."
"We decided to check out the food at Sargent Country Store on our recent trip to Sargent. Three times we've been to Sargent but dismissed this place as 'just a gas station.' Our loss! They have a pretty hefty menu of burgers, appetizers, chicken, and pizza...definitely something for everyone. We went twice and tried the hamburger with tater tots and the pizza. Everything was pretty tasty! They have a small dining area in the back with a TV if you don't want to take your food to go.Sargent Country Store has everything from bait to shampoo to hardware. We got a tad 'lost' in the store trying to find the food area (walk in the door and make a right at the register). Everyone was nice and helpful with food suggestions. We'll definitely be back on our next trip!"
"A nice small liquor store which is locally owned and provides your basic adult beverages. It's actually the only one in town so there ain't no one competing with them on prices. Nothing fancy or crazy but it provides exactly what you need for your drinking pleasures. It is well kept and clean and reasonable pricing."
"If you like good coffee wherever you live this is the closest you're gonna come to it. Good stuff! Everyone we met who worked here was super friendly and the service was efficient. It's well air conditioned if you need somewhere to be seen working on your laptop. The courtyard has cornhole, oversized connect 4, and patio seating.Enjoy!!!"
"This place has everything when it comes to a cold drink of beer to working sweet looking drinks. The owner that runs this place makes you feel welcome and if you plan on ordering the Smirnoff Preparada, you have to make sure you say it right in order to get that drink, lol Overall, i will for sure be coming back to this place for the sweet looking drinks. btw to find this place you will have to be on airline and holly, its right next to Vanessa's Bridal, you cant miss it!"
"If a liquor store was managed by someone with OCD this is it. This store is military inspection clean with every bottle "up to and touching" facing forward perfectly. The staff is very friendly and 70's disco seems always to be playing in the background. So if you like your booze disciplined and your staff funky march your money maker here."
"Heard great things about the beer selection here so had to check it out. The place was huge! Tons of beer! About 300-400 beers to choose from with some in a cooler and some on the shelves. I found a lot of beers not available in New Orleans. I picked up some Avery, New Belgium and Ommegang just to name a few. Also picked up some local beers like St. Arnolds and Real Ale. Corey was VERY helpful even as he was trying to get some work done."
