"This is a "must visit" restaurant every time I'm in Victoria. On this last visit, it was obvious that it is growing in popularity. The salsa and chips are fresh and delicious. They have a cilantro-heavy salsa verde which is probably one of the most flavorful salsas that I have ever had (and I've had a few!) The menu runs the full gamut. They have just about every combination you can imagine and I always seem to revert to the one with a taco, enchilada and tostada. This is just good simple Mexican food. No frills....just exactly what it should be."

"I admit I am very picky about y QUE. I decided to give Ballhoggs a try after seeing the owner on the local news. First problem, GPS could not locate it. 2nd problem, the inside is dusty. Lots of stuff in the front of house that could use a good dusting and straightening up. But, the food was the reason I drove across town and it was good. I took my 2 meat plate to go so I could enjoy while binging a program. The brisket was falling apart tender and moist or just the way I like it, crusty with a little fat. Ribs were tender. The baked beans were just a little sweet and the potato salad was seasoned just right. I would post a photo but I ate first.All in all a good value and taste for my dollar."

"Ate here last night 8/1/2020 as well as breakfast the same day. VERY VERY good authentic Mexican food! I had the Chimichanga. This is not a true Chimichanga, as that is a flour tortilla, rolled and fried. This is more like a large Enchilada but BOY was it tasty!! Definitely recommend it!! Breakfast was eggs and Chorizo, VERY tasty as well!!!"

"It was a very nice restaurant with a relaxing ambiance. I loved the furniture and live music. It's a bit loud in there, not very private. The food was really good and very generous portions. I definitely recommend the Shrimp pasta and the dessert flight. I only give it a 4 because the menu is very limited. Not too much to choose from."

"Fast and friendly service, delicious food and a nice dog friendly patio! As other reviewers have said the beans are the bomb. The Dip Belicon (Queso) seemed expensive at $13.99 but it was every bit worth it - the server recommended stirring it up before digging in, and she was right. There's all kinds of deliciousness below the surface. The Birria taco was very good. I'm glad we stumbled on this place, and will definitely be returning. We understand there is also a location in McAllen that has been open 3 years or so."

"Only been for breakfast, twice already, tacos are ginormous, ordered 3 because normally cheap tacos are tiny, way wrong. I ate 1 1/2 tacos and I was stuffed. Chips and salsa are pretty good too. If nearby check them out pretty good."
