"I had a short term lease while taking some classes at Texas A&M. The unit I stayed at was newly remodeled which made my stay feel even better as if I got first dibs! As noted with other reviews, the management and maintenance team are very caring and quick to spring into action when there is a concern. My then "puppy" at 45 lbs was still growing to become an expected 75 lbs at full grown was also allowed to stay with me here. They have a 100 lbs dog limit!! That's more than a class of toddlers combined! The pricing here is very reasonable and I felt I definitely got a whole lot of bang for my bucks. The whole process of moving in and moving out of Marbella Apartments was very smooth. I highly recommend as this apartment complex as there are plenty of units to choose from."
"Great place! The staff is always helpful and professional, especially Val! The property is always well maintained and clean, I'm very happy here!"
"I absolutely love this complex. I have lived in 4 different places in corpus and I have never been happier. I have a very good sized one bedroom and have very very affordable rent. The staff is super friendly and the maintenance always comes the same day I put a work order in. Amazing !!!I had a roach problem at first but the staff worked with me to make sure it got taken care of!If I was staying in corpus after graduation I would live here !!! Very recommended !!!"
"Residents will love the amenities you pay for but can't use! The pool is rarely usable (usually green murky water) which is a shame, because the patio area is nice. The grass is too high to use the "bark park". The dog bath is closed indefinitely for repairs. The acres of bay-front lawn are so overgrown and mosquito infested, it's a health risk to walk on the sidewalks that are completely grown over with grass. Same for the playground. If you enter maintenance request on their app, don't expect to ever get an update. The desk staff is nic, but the manager has zero customer service skills (interrupts, loud, takes no accountability). This place could be fun and beautiful. It's not. The apartment itself is clean and comfortable. Convenient location, though a lot of traffic noise at times. Unless management improves, we'll be looking for other options at the end of the lease."
"I have lived in this apartment for 12 days. In the 12 days I have been here, my AC has been broken the ENTIRE time and the office staff JUST decided to tell me they were waiting on a part 2 days ago. My carpet looks like it as cleaned with phlegm and a rake. The grounds are covered with trash. The parking situation is out of control and they use 'no assigned parking' as a positive selling point to the apartment. The pool has no water and a sign that says "closed until further notice" . None of the 2nd floor apartments have washer/dryers and their is only ONE laundry room on the property. I WISH I hadn't needed to move so quickly because I would have notices all of these little details."
"Management is extremely rude (Eloisa) & is very uninformative & if you're unaware of something they try to make you feel slow or stupid & deflect any problems back to you. Maybe it's just me but she makes you feel like a burden & unwanted there or like you're less than her. She has very poor, people skills & it's sad since she runs this place. I've been here unfortunately for a little over a year and I've always had an issue with this lady & Janette in the front office. They're not helpful whatsoever, they play nice in the beginning until you finally move in and then that's when they dump all the bullshit on you. They also don't do anything about hostile and racist neighbors, they essentially encourage it. Please do not move in here just because it's by the water. Save yourself. They also tried stealing a $3500 deposit that they told me I would be getting back & I had to contact corporate and make sure I got it back because they seriously don't help you."
"i love living here. maintenance is great, office staff is great, it is quiet and safe."
"I lived here for 1 year, property is nice but the management is not very kind. A few months in I accidentally underpaid my rent by $25 and they charged me $100 late fee. They would not have a two conversation about it just adamantly insisted that I must pay and nothing could be done about it. Upon move out I turned in my 2 gate clickers (1st one was free 2nd required a deposit). They wouldn't refund my deposit claiming they gave them out for free sometimes, my fault for not keeping the receipt I guess. There was miscommunication on my move out inspection and the one person working couldn't perform it that was working that day so I just left without it. They emailed me the results and charged me for microwave being dirty and cabinets being dirty. Nothing could be done again as I swore I cleaned that place high and low. I always left the balcony door open so I let myself in the next day to find one small spec on the microwave glass and a a cabinet with 4 sealed whataburger ketchups inside. Nothing that requires a $75 cleaning fee, I removed both issues and they still wouldn't allow me to not pay the fees."
"Great place to live. Very clean, lot's of activities, and perfect location. The manager, Sheila, is very. Helpful. I would definitely recommend it."
"I don't live her but I took a tour and enjoyed my visit. Megan was very helpful and I am very happy to say that she was friendly and nice. I visited a property prior and the office staff was rude. This is a strong contender for me...."
"I lived there for a year and just recently moved out. Apartment was reasonably priced and decently sized. The apartment got super hot ALL the time. Maintenance checked on it and there was never any changes. Electric bill was always outrageous. Never really had any problems while living here. Cars in the parking lot often looked old and beat up. We had a dead rat in our a/c and maintenance took care of it immediately."
"When we went in its just very gorgeous. Extremely clean and well organized. We were greeted right away. Brenda was the on who helped us. She was very professional and knew what she was talking about. She subtly got all of our information!! Right before we took a tour she offered us cookies and something to drink. As we got to see the small one bedroom it's very nice with an open floor plan. I love the walk in closets. The pool looked clean and inviting. Over all relocating from Chicago where customer service is a priority I really appreciate how I was treated and respected. They will have a high possibility of being my future renter."

HORRIBLE!!!! Do not move here ! Save your money . You will live with constant water problems and mold . They will enter your apartment and leave a mess as they call it "fixing it" and leave your apartment trashed and soaked. Ruined mattress , clothes and carpets . What kind of people run these apartments . You charge so much for rent for what ? Save your money move else where. No wonder they always have move in specials they can't keep tenants . Wish I would have done my research !

The leasing staff are angels, the maintenance crew is kind, and I loved how easy it was to move in here.

I lived here for a year and it wasn't too bad, I lived right on the bay. There are a few creepy people that live in the apartment complex, one time a truck got all four tires stolen off of it and got left on rocks in the parking lot... a lot of the units have carpet and they weren't accurately cleaned and still wrinkled which I didn't like. There is also a ton of roaches when I lived there and I'm fairly clean person. The management is extremely slow to respond and not very helpful whenever it comes to issues. Maintenance was pretty responsive in a decent time. I also got less than half of my down payment back, even though I did a clean before I left, and there was no damage to the unit. there are always a lot of random made up fees by management always charged my account every month and they can never explain what exactly they were for.

Decent facilities but they do not do repairs in a timely manner. My biggest issue however with the company is the people who work for Wood River. They are very difficult to talk to and have little if any people skills. It is very frustrating because a simple issue in the apartment ends up feeling like World War 3. They just need to hire some nice people who will at least pretend to listen and be courteous.

DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!Constant problems each month since the day I moved in takes multiple calls/complaints to even have them come and look but even longer for them to actually fix the problem. Office managers come and go so you're having to deal with different people every month IF they even answer the phones! Maintenance has no idea what they are doing and will lie saying they fixed the problem just to hurry and leave. I've gone months without a restroom sink, kitchen sink and dishwasher are constantly getting backed up. My tub makes a loud knocking sound all day and all night long! I haven't had any hot water for a month in the beginning of winter!!I'm absolutely stressed being here!PLEASE don't make the same mistake I did!!!

Do not rent here unless you want them to steal your money. After I moved out, I received no communication from the complex. Never received my deposit or a list of "damages." 3 months later I was contacted by COLLECTIONS regarding unexplained charges from the Reserve. When I asked them to send me proof of the charges and reasoning for them, they said they would look into it and never got back. They are dishonest and if you read other reviews you'll see this is a pattern for this company. Steal deposits, send to collections and wait until the tenant has no choice but to pay or ruin their credit. No ethical landlord operates this way. On top of this, I had a male maintenance man try to FORCE his way into my apartment unwarranted during my lease when I was naked and in the shower. The managers only explanation was they MIXED UP a work order and sent them to enter my apartment without notice. I have the email for proof! They have had more than 3 different property managers in less than a year. Incompetence speaks for itself.

"If I could give this place zero stars I would. If you are a college student do not live here. They are rude and will try and scam you if you are young. The neighbors I had below and across from us were extremely rude because we were younger. We lived right in front of the dog park and would walk out to the smell of poop and pee every day because the park was not cleaned regularly. I cannot tell you how many false fines they tried to give us just to get money. They tried to give us a 100 DOLLAR FINE because we had a guest over and they did not park in the guest parking. This place never had a place for guest to park. My roommate and I went to the front office and showed them that no where in the lease did it show that there was guest parking and the fine they were trying to fine us was fake. One lease violation we got was becasue our neighbor complained that we shower too much. How can you shower too much, and how can an apartment complex give a resident a lease violation over here say? The complex was out to get us and our money from the start and I would have broke the lease from the time we moved in because of the roach infestation we had in the apartment. The rent is WAYYYYYYY more than what it should be if you still have appliances and cabinets from the 80s in the complex. The stafff members in the front were always rude to us and always had an attitude if we needed to ask questions. THIS PLACE IS A COMPLETE RIP OFF!! DON'T LIVE HERE!!!!!"
"Beautiful views and amenities!! The office ladies host several events for all residents. It is great getting to meet new people who live here. I have been very blessed to have my wonderful neighbor Jean!!"
"I wish I could give this zero stars....Apartments need a lot of work! Cabinet falling apart, mold, roaches, and to top it off MICE!!! Absolutely disgusting! Please you could find something better than this for the same price or cheaper. Listen I don't usually leave bad reviews like ever! I'm a super nice person and I don't like to be that person that has a problem with everything... I was fine with the place till I saw a mouse in my kitchen! I was disgusted and I had to draw the line. I thought it was just one mouse so my husband set up a trap. We've caught several mice now and we still see some roaming around! They carry so many deadly diseases and they are just straight up gross. I can't even cook in my kitchen now because the thought of it just grosses me out. Truthfully idk what do do to get rid of them. I am literally paranoid. I'm constantly looking around when I walk around the house, opening door terrifies me cause I fear I'll see mice on the other side of the door. I can't sleep cause I'm constantly I fear that they'll clime up my bed or something (idk if they can do that but still terrifying) please please do not stay here! You can find something better I guarantee you! Especially if you have children!"
"Great pool!Enjoy living here.Great staff!Amazing customer service!Awesome maintenance."
"If I could give ISLAND VILLA no stars, I would. Ever since new management has taken over, this property has gone to hell. Its supposed to be a gated community but, the gates have been open for almost a month. People that dont live here are using it to dump their trash and furniture (mattresses!)Ppl have been at the pool, throwing party's (that don't live here!!)THE POLICE were called twice because of the drunken pool parties!!Maintenance, what is what!?Air-conditioners are out!! It is hot, we need our AIR CONDITIONERS YESRTERDAY!! For all the money we pay, WE DESERVE BETTER!!GET IT TOGETHER@! ISLAND VILLA!!"
"So far it has been a great experience living here. The management is very responsive and friendly. I would recommend these apartments 100%."
"The name of the apartments have changed under new management. But under the Harpers Corner name, it was going down the drain quick. Air conditioners not working, forcing people to buy/borrow portable AC's raising their electric bill. They kept having "quick fixes" done and that resulted in them calling out help 4x. It took them 3 mos (May, June, and July) to fix it correctly. A pipe busted running massive amounts of water into a downstairs apartment which took over 2 weeks to fix. This was along with no working AC. They finally had to move in with her mother since she was 7mos pregnant and had a 2yr old. I sure hope it gets better with the new management."
"So far everything has been great, unfortunately they require 60 day notice and payment immediately (10 days for move out).***FEE's***I didn't read my lease fully I guess but $38 for Trash disposal on top of your lease $5 Bugs - we never had bugs so this was great!!$35 Cable if you use it or not $40-$65 Sewage and Water (Community Split) $85 Renters insurance Quarterly Then add in your own electric and Energy.$869 rent gets up to $1000 a month quickly and easily with little control. Pros:Pool is nice Management is friendly Valet trash App controlled laundry App payments for rent Pricing Friendly Neighbours/quiet Cons:60 days to terminate Forced spectrum cable even if you don't use it. 1:2 pools is always a mess (there's a big tree there so can't really help it)Laundry facilities are almost always full and or half broken.Community Water bill Trash fee Dumpster fee Haven't moved out yet will post about that experience next! Staff is very nice just READ before you lease! Good luck :)"
"Updating this review, just to re-iterate how much I like this complex. I have stayed in unit 102, 202 and 112 now. They are all great. The onsite office manager Gloria is a gem.The pool and property are always clean!!If you want to stay here, several of the units are listed on www.stayinporta.comIf you are headed to Port A, stay at Sea Sands!!!"
"Living at Icon for a few months and feel very safe and home. I have nothing to complain about and the rent is reasonable. I would recommend that place to anyone I know! :-)"
"I am expressing my great dis-satisfaction with the new management/owners, GWR. About 2 weeks ago I asked management in person, to have a pesticides (I pay a monthly fee) take care of ants coming from the sewer thru' my garbage disposal. The previous management took care of these kind of health and sanitation immediately. Its been 2 weeks and nothing has been done. Further the new management does not respond to phone calls so unless you walk in and explain the problem in person you are out of luck. I have lived in the Veranda Apartments for over 5 years. Previous management/owners were awesome and they took care of things. Not the new owners. They made all cosmetic improvements but will ignore other issues, especially sanitation and health and so my next step is I am going to have a health inspector come inspect my space. This is unfortunately my last resort. I recommend that other places are far better than this one when it comes to customer service. These people don't even pick up the phone. Its all an answering service. As soon as my lease is up, I am moving."
"This is a very nice and well maintained property. The staff all were super friendly and had lemonade on a warm day. The unit was totally upgraded with modern decor and lots of space! Thanks for your southern hospitality!"
"Last year I would have recommended these apartments. This year? Not so much. The new company, Greystar that took over from Camden is just not as great. I'm not even sure where to begin. Camden always went above and beyond-- from their management team, office staff, maintenance, and just the way the complex looked overall. Communication was always 100. Someone always answered and was available. They always returned calls and was on top of things. Maintenance was always quick, and the community was always clean. Recently with the change of management to Greystar has been a true let down. All of the staff are new and just not as great and personal as the last. Constantly having to make call after call to try to get in touch with someone. As for the property manager? Good luck getting in touch with her, much less a return in email. Sending emails and rarely getting a response. Lots of talk with little action. False advertisement too. They promise a $500 referral check if your friends move it... ha, good luck with that. My friend moved in beginning of June and it's now almost September. Have I seen a check? Nope. Does the manager know anything about it? Nope. Has she made any efforts to find out? Probably not. As for our valet trash guy? Not friendly at all. Shows up early before 8 almost everyday and will collect trash.. sometimes won't even come back around for your trash AT EIGHT like they tell you to have ready. He's extremely rude honestly. Doesn't even pick up all of your trash. You break down boxes and sometimes he won't even pick it up.. for instance a pizza box. How much more can you break that down? You have one job-- pick up our trash because that's what you're being paid to do, but can't even do it. This place is a joke and I can't wait for our lease to end honestly. So over it. Really disappointed how a change in management changed everything.Oh, but to end this negative review with some positivity: our maintenance supervisor Roger is amazing. Always has been. 5 stars for him. And our leasing agent Abram is great too. Always extremely nice."
"I move in three weeks ago and have had nothing but good things. I will say the gym is a little busted and one of the pools is out but management is completely on top of that I've seen people working on them.As far as personally management has been super helpful. I had to have a water line on my toilet replaced and they replaced it within an hour. My neighbors have been quiet dispute having pets and everyone has been pretty nice so far. Definitely recommend it especially since rent is under $1k for a 1b and they have laundry hook ups in unit."
"Very first apartment years ago, I didn't live here long but the time I was there was great, neighbors helped move furniture in everyone was beyond welcoming. Never had issues with neighbors or noise. I loved my apartment very much and staff was very nice! Only relocated because my ex husband was in the military so our stay was short but great!"
"Where do I even start? First, I have to state that these apartments are under new management and seem to have been making lots of changes when I was leaving. That last month it was quiet, all the bad people moved out and they started cleaning up the property, removing the trash from the dumpster areas, etc. My first 2 months were great. No issues, peaceful, neighbors were respectful. Then, slowly things started to fall apart. Electricity stopped working properly, plumbing was always wonky. The water was either Ice Cold or Boiling Hot. The toilet stopped working after 6 months living there. Never was fixed! I had to fill a 5 gallon bucket of water to flush the toilet. There was roaches everywhere. I had to do my own pest control even though they charged me $14 a month fee. Then the nightmare neighbors moved in. I swear it was like an entire family that moved into the complex. They would always gather at the pool, Bit of advice, stay away from living by the pool!! These gangster kids would make noise all night, playing their loud boom bass all night, and my neighbors were the same way. Bass rattling the walls, they were smoking meth all night, I could smell it in my place. I could hear them arguing and talking every night. It was so bad I moved my bed into my living room. I tried to get the management to do something and they never did anything. They told me that these people were section 8 and I needed to hire a lawyer and get a case manager to look into my case about them. There was 8 people living in that apartment including 6 babies. It was a fu****g nightmare! Please tread with caution when considering that they lease to section 8 families. There is no control over what these people do. They have ZERO respect for their neighbors."
"This is how some of the residents at Costa Tarragona live. Trashy! There's is enough space in the dumpster to put the trash inside it, I see this almost every day. I want to place a camera on my balcony that faces the dumpsters. And when I see this I can show management who these trashy people are. And it stinks bad!!"
"What a breath of fresh air! After a nightmare stay at the North Beach CC Days Inn, we looked everywhere for a place to stay, but everything was booked. High season, duh. These ladies took our name, and just as we were heading back to Corpus Christi, we got a call with a vacancy 2 bedroom. We would have paid the same amount for one room on the beach, and this place was clean, cool, and very very nice. The ladies at the front desk are very personable, and we fell in love with their mascot, a doxie named Diesel! We hope to stay here again!!"
"One of the worst choices I made! I loved the floor plan and its super close to work, so I signed the lease and moved in. Well I should've known day one that this was a big mistake-I literally signed the lease, moved some stuff in and already had to call maintenance. I've lived here for less than half my lease term and have had to make 5-6 maintenance calls for BASIC things-air, heat, hot water, fridge. Not that they broke and I needed them fixed-they never worked from day 1 of move in. The maintenance guy is also super nice, but the problem is getting to him. The office has literally been closed more than open in the past 2 months. And the "emergency service"? Come on, what a joke. It's an answering service that's supposed to call Ava the office manager's cell. But guess what? she never takes and or returns the call. So go figure. Maybe my apartment is special, I dunno, but I have not had a great time at all since move in."
"I have been living at Four Winds for the past 5 years, I have nothing but good things to say about this place. First I live in a two bedroom apartment for only $850 a month, that is a steal for Corpus Christi, TX! The staff in the front office are always friendly and nice and have always treated myself and other residents with respect and kindness. Every-time I go to the office the staff always greet me with a smile and have helped with whatever issues I may have or just chit chat with me while I wait for one of my packages to arrive (many of the bigger packages arrive directly to the front office, this I like as it prevents anyone from taking packages or delivery people from placing them at the wrong apartment). I have had 0 bug issues in my place as they do regular pest control and whenever I had maintenance issues (like after the hurricane) they have always responded promptly and took care of the ceiling and the small amount of damage that occured. There are also quite a few trash bins all over the property so it is never a far walk to take out the garbage. They are also now pet friendly, so that is also a plus for pet owners and non-pet owners as the residents generally clean up after themselves and the groundskeepers are always cleaning the property. I am also happy that they started doing renovations around the buildings and have fixed many of the roofs on the property and giving the place a new paint job. A++ place to live and is very close to HEB, schools, and restaurants."
"They are quick and responsive to requests and tenant's needs. They are quick to return phone calls. I love the location. The traffic in the area isn't bad and it's close to my work and family. I love the lake. It's serene. I just renewed my lease for another year. Highly recommend!"
"Great location. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Maintenance is efficient and communicative."
"The complex is nice with shaded areas and places to walk. The 2-bedroom apartment I have is very nice. Enjoy having lots of windows and huge closets in the bedrooms. The only other closet though is a small pantry in the kitchen. No linen closet in the bathroom. I really wish the kitchen had more cupboards. It also only has two small drawers. Glad to have a dishwasher and microwave provided. The complex currently allow dogs which is both good and bad. I have two well trained dogs. I pick up after them and see others doing the same. There are those however that don't. I wish they had a policy to fine those that don't pick up after their dogs. That might help. I want my dogs to be good residents just as I want to be. Quiet and respectful of others. That isn't true of too many dogs and their owners in this complex. Dogs barking is a big problem. There are dogs on balconies unattended that bark. There are dogs on balconies that bark with their owners present doing little to stop them. There are dogs in apartments that bark shockingly loudly at the windows when you walk around the complex. I feel sorry for their neighbors. Evidently very tolerant. I even had another tenant's dogs attack and bite my dog. It seems the complex wants to allow dogs (which is great) but doesn't actively attend to the potential problems caused by dog owners that don't respect their neighbors. They do credit checks on potential tenants but don't do any sort of check on the dogs before allowing them. Something like a simple bark and/or obedience test would go a long way to having not only creditworthy tenants but well behaved dogs.I think if this complex can resolve the dog issues it would easily be a 4 or 5 star place to live."
