We love Brackenridge Campground Stay here all the time. The staff is friendly yet professional I love the constant security patrol and the fireworks show last night (7-4) was awesome! My only complaint is that the laundry needs to be upgraded

One of the best campgrounds in the state. Full hookups, never had a problem at BRC. The great thing is, your neighbors are not right on top of you as is the case in most campgrounds. The hosts are always willing to help if needed. If you don't have an RV, they have cabins on the lake for rental. There's tons to do here IF you like the outdoors. Boating, fishing, or just a leisurely walk. They have a nature walk by the front office if you so desire. Of course there are deer in the park, as it is a wildlife refuge. There are alligators as well, so be alert for them. They have a paintball facility. It's excellent for a family trip. If you have a gathering, you can rent out a number of pavilions, indoor and outdoor they have available. This last time, we saw a wedding starting in the church onsite. It's a great place to spend a weekend or to visit for a week. It's an easy trip from Houston, San Antonio or Austin.

Only 1 1/2 hour drive from Houston and the tranquility of sitting on a porch swing, looking out over the ripples of Lake Texana, awaits you. There is so much to do and no crowds to compete for the activities. Putt putt golf, paintball field, baseball/kickball field, gazebo, nature center or just relax with with an idle mind and idle hands for the weekend. We stayed in the Lavaca Cabin which was clean, adequately furnished and quiet. Take 59 South to Ganado, go left on 172 for about 7 miles then right on 111 for about 3 miles. Bring your binoculars to watch the alligators in the lake right from your front porch! Kids can ride their bikes and folks can start a fire in the fire ring in the back yard for those s'mores and campfire songs. Truly an enjoyable experience.

This park is a nice quiet place to relax and stay for a good while. Restrooms and showers are always clean. The staff and the front desk are the sweetest young ladies and they're very knowledgeable about different kinds of things we can do here at this beautiful park. Oh and when you buy a day pass for one of the parks ( Texana or Breckinridge) you get in free at the other one. Thank you for reading
