Brackenridge Main Event Center

Just stayed two winter weeks in the campground. Sites were large and generally level, lots of standing water throughout after 3 days of rain. Picnic table, grill and fire pit available at each site, but fire pits were in the back of the sites. All shade is in the back in spots. No trees in the pull thru sites which could mean a hot camper in summer. Three bathroom facilities through the park and they were spotless. Each bathroom facility has 1 washer and 1 dryer which is not adequate for a park this size. Park should have separate laundry area with multiple machines. One exit only. Had to travel through the complete campground to get out. Locked gates to enter, posted speed 10 mph thru park, but pot holes made the speed impossible to obtain with camper on the back. Campground is great for boaters, fishing fans, but not much else. No pool, a small miniature golf course which is not suitable for winter stays, no cable but antenna received all major networks. At least 6 miles from town and no propane on site. Recommended business in town for propane with no discount for campers. Small deer herd on premises which were viewed from walking trail. Friendly staff at front desk. Priced right for the amenities.

Careful here the management is rude and is quick to tell u she is talking ,u will listen to her !!!!!!!they will not work with u if your in a monthly spot and need to go weekly ....due to your job lasting 1 week after your month ........it's pay a month or move ,can't pay weekly in a monthly spot lol !!! Oh and their weekly is booked so pay monthly or get out ! Also if u pay a deposit so u can have a spot on a certain day and can't make it for another 4 days past the day u said don't worry they will charge your credit card for the days you wasn't there with out your permission !!! I know 3 people that this happened to ...the manager is outta control beware !!!!! As far as the camp ground, it's one of the Beautiful and is full of wildlife, but someone needs to put this manager in ck
