Came to a bbq restaurant for fried chicken...odd right? Their fried chicken is actually pretty good. The fries were short of delicious...somewhat undercooked. Should have gotten something else. The drive thru was long, but went by quickly. The girl at the window wasn't the happiest, but she probably was frustrated with the dinner crowd. Overall, not bad and gave them 3 stars. Should I come back and try the actual BBQ?

Today marks my fifth year work anniversary, and to celebrate, a good friend and fellow coworker wanted to treat me to lunch. Not wanting to be difficult, I suggested Bill Miller because everyone in Texas loves barbecue, and everyone in STX loves Bill Miller. Plus it is right down the road from work!Bill Miller is a South Texas barbecue chain staple. Headquartered in San Antonio, you can find them dotted everywhere. I frequent this location more than any other due to its proximity to both home and the office.It is good barbecue at good value, IMO. All locations are setup fairly the same. They all appear to be ran pretty well. One thing I have always noticed and liked about them is that they tend to employ a lot of younger folks at decent wages, which is an awesome strategy for preparing our youth with good work ethics.If you are desiring some consistently decent "Q," consider stopping by a Bill Miller near you!

Ordered online through the corporate website- pickup order should've been ready by 8:30pm. They were out of brisket, so they made NONE of our order. I arrived at 8:40pm to find this all out. No one called. They said the online order doesn't give them a phone number - huge corporate mistake, if that's the truth. Stood around another 20 mins waiting for them to get working on it, just to have the manager finally come from the back, ask them where the order was, figure out it STILL wasn't ready, so I asked for a refund and left. Probably will not venture into a Bill Millers - ever. Only one employee was attentive and kind - trying to do everything he was hired to do. Sad excuse for a BBQ restaurant.

Went to Bill Miller on Saratoga today and had a disappointing experience. I got to rodeo, the ribs were very overcooked to the point of being chewy and inedible. The brisket was all dry. The only meat that was good was the sausage. I've never had this happen with the one on SPID. I love their BBQ but sometimes not right over there. I'll never go back till I hear it's back up to standards cause right now it suxs! Two because the sides were good and everything was in the bag

Came in for a late lunch with my daughter, her choice. We were 4th in line but we were served almost immediately! Restaurant is extremely clean and staff are very nice. We ordered the #8 whichbis 2 meats with 3 sides and a tea. More than enough food for anyone. We ordered the ribs, bbq chicken, and the ham. Chicken just a tad bit dry. Green beans tasty and cream of corn was the bomb!!! Thanks for a great lunch!!

We sat waiting for a simple taco breakfast & plate. Ten minutes passed and I had to go ask what the delay was with our breakfast. Apparently nobody had gotten our order & one of employees gave us our full receipt. My taco was supposed to be marbled brisket which tasted pretty dry. Did not bother mentioning for fear of them messing with my food. Not even an I'm sorry or can we do anything else for you out of common courtesy. Mind you it was not busy at all 4 other people that were finishing their meals & ONLY US 2. No such thing as customer service anymore like years back & meals have almost doubled in price.

Got to the restaurant at 8:20pm. Employees kept passing by as we were standing there waiting to order along with another couple. They didn't alert any team members in the back that people were waiting to order, acted like we weren't there and it seemed like they were already shutting down the seating area line for ordering. 10 minutes later, a girl with blue hair (very nice) came to the front once she noticed we were all standing there and proceeded to take everyone's order while no one helped her. My boyfriend ordered the 2 chopped beef sandwiches and I got a chicken sandwich. We had to wait for the sandwiches so we got our drinks and sat down. 5 minutes til 9 (closing time) the other couple asked the same girl for an eta on their order since it had been almost 30 minutes. The girl went to go check and came back and said that the cooks never started the order and asked if they wanted a refund. I told my boyfriend that we should just go get a refund as well since they more than likely didn't make our order as well. The girl went to go get her manager and her manager proceeded to tell her everything she did wrong in front of us customers. Very unprofessional and management of the manager especially since he obviously allowed the front area of the restaurant to be closed before regular business hours. Being the only manager on duty isn't an excuse, do better by your employees and don't degrade them in front of customers. Stuff happens and orders get forgotten, but don't blame your employees for not being able to run things smoothly under pressure as a manager should be able to do.

I recently went to the local Bill Millers on Saratoga Corpus, I got there 10 piece chicken which I opted to wait the 20 minutes to get fresh chicken hot as I requested that, and I requested that they coordinate the fries to come up hot from the fryer when the chicken did, that way everything would be fresh and hot..I also requested that I get hot thick gravy and not cold watery gravy (I literally said it just like that) I heard the person running the register, that they needed a 10-piece down and that the gravy be hot and thick.Out of the 20 some odd times I've gone there the gravy seems to be the kind of warmish watery type, it doesn't matter how I word it I always get the same.The very last straw was this last time I went and got chicken and I waited the 20 minutes and I got cold chicken and the watery gravy. I had to place my order three different times three different people, which I don't really understand why, (one would take the order and then ask someone else to come over and he would clear it out and start again and the manager came over and did the same thing too.)I do not understand why, they just let things go out knowing that it's not right, do they not want the person to come back?... Or do they just not care, perhaps if more people stood up and said, 'hey my food is cold!'.. or 'this gravy is watery and cold' then perhaps they might take the initiative to start serving fresh hot food for a change.If someone asks for fresh chicken and they wait the 20 minutes while the chicken is in the fryer well darn it it better damn well be fresh chicken hot, (I wasted 20 minutes of my life waiting for fresh hot food and didn't even get it)When they brought my food to me bagged up I did inspected the food, before I left. And when the lady brought me my plates set up I informed her that the chicken and the gravy were cold in the gravy was very watery. All she said was I'll tell the manager.I just left shaking my head disappointed once again.
