Best Seafood And Steakhouse

This business has closed. Been closed about 2 months now. Food was good and service was very good. I enjoyed eating here.

I come for seafood when in town. I usually order fried shrimp. Today I ordered grilled catfish platter. It was over cooked that it was rubbery. The waitresses were gone as it was after lunch. The owner took our order and once my order was brought out she did not return to follow up on the meal or refills. My spouse did not order as he had a late breakfast and was not hungry. When he went to pay the owner told him he was trying to save money by sharing a meal!! Twice a year I would come and have my Dad a birthday luncheon as well as my MIL in her birthday. The luncheons would include taking their friends 15-20 persons. Throughout the year I come to Best seafood when I come visit. A couple of months ago while at lunch I overheard the owner talking down to an employee and requesting payment for the lunch she had eaten. The waitress stated she would at the end of her shift. Although it was not my waitress I gave her the money to pay for her lunch. I would never do that to an employee or customer. Therefore-- will seek service elsewhere.

Humble appearance outside with a good amount of parking.Nicely decorated inside.Neat, clean, dining areaa with spacious seating. Servers courteous and attentive.Salad simple but fresh and crisp.Grilled pork chops juicy and good.Chicken parmesan juicy as well.Green beans nicely seasoned,

Always fresh seafood and fried to perfection. Not over seasoned, just simple, fresh cornmeal battered fried fish. Shrimp are always so good & not over battered. Simple fresh crispy salad, great coleslaw & other sides. My parents eat here at least once a week. Parking is a little tough when there are a bunch of trucks, but still manageable.

Great fresh seafood and while it may be under seasoned for me it is probably okay for the majority of folks.It's a plain Jane place but the food more than makes up for the cosmetics. One big surprise for me is their chicken fried steak. It's a fairly large steak, breaded just right with more meat than breading and you can cut it without a knife.My go to place for fresh seafood and a great CFS in El Campo.

A very simple restaurant in El Campo. I had one of the combination platters, 2 pcs catfish, 5 pcs shrimp, 5 pcs oysters, and fries. Food tasted fresh and was fried without the greasy taste. It was not flavored very well but was fried just about right and was tender not over cooked. I have eaten there 3 or 4 times and really have no complaints. It's not outstanding, but never the less a solid seafood place.

I have been several times when visiting family here and I'm not sure why they want to keep coming back but for the price, I can see why. The fried shrimp was not seasoned very well nor the french fries. I also ordered an appetizer of cheese sticks. Even without seasoning, everything tasted fresh. The water taste absolutely horrible so I asked the waitress if I could get a bottle from the refrigerator they have as soon as you walk in. She was very nice but my issue was with the owner/manager, she freaked out when I opened the door. She literally acted as if I were stealing something! Had it not been for the sweet waitress I probably would have left without ordering anything. But it wasn't her fault the Asian lady manager/owner was rude. Another thing is when paying up at the register she asked if we needed anything so I told her my mom needed a to go cup for her tea, then she preceded to tell me to ask my waitress. Umm ok, then why did you ask? I would suggest to find another seafood place if possible because the rude service I received from that lady was not worth the cheap price of the seafood.

This place has gone from being one of the best places to get seafood and fried rice in El Campo to having the absolute worse service.The server could care less if we get our food at all. Last night everyone at the table was FINISHED eating when my food came out.The hostess of our party ordered a Steak and it looked like it was BOILED. There is absolutely NO EXCUSE for this kind of service.

Very bad service. Asked for a refill after I got my drink and halfway through my dinner I finally got it. The crab is horrible. Never gonna come here again. The only thing good here is the tea
