Food used to be good, there are much better places to get good value and freshness. The other reviews are accurate about stale food! This is the second time I've had stale food. They probably put food from yesterday up. Won't be going there anymore.

I wanted this to be our go-to for Indian food, I really did. Let's start with pros: the food is delicious and the portions are mostly generous. Cons: we've ordered take-out four times now and every single time they've gotten our order wrong. I think the person who takes the orders must not write anything down and then they do their best to remember what we've ordered. It just doesn't make sense otherwise. They're also VERY slow. If they tell me it'll be ready in 30 minutes what they actually mean is it'll be ready in an hour. This is probably because they're making it fresh, which I can appreciate, but I wish they could just be upfront about the pickup time so I'm not standing there for 20-30 minutes. Maybe not a deal breaker, since the food is really good, but something to keep in mind if you're in a hurry.

MOLD on frozen food! 0/5 starsI purchased frozen paranthas from this store. The food went straight into the freezer at home. I opened it two days later and found mold on several packs!Exactly 1 week from purchase, I returned to the store with receipt and the moldy product and they refused to take responsibility. You can see the mold on the paranthas is not something that would develop overnight. The manager/owner are very rude! They said that they don't own this product and were blaming the company that supplies it or me! They are selling MOLDY food and not taking responsibility!I AM NEVER COMING BACK HERE

I eat a lot of Indian food. I'm probably an Indian food addict. At some point, my family may stage an intervention. It's just something about those delicious spices, creamy curries and buttery bread that keeps me coming back. When Best Indian Grocer and Cafe opened up in Missouri City, I was excited to have a dealer closer to home. The store is small and is located inside an old Burger King restaurant. Despite its size, the store is well stocked and offers a few brands of each of their offerings so their is a variety to choose from. The vegetables were very fresh looking which is rare for an Indian grocery store and they will break open your coconuts for you in site. In addition to their grocery selection, they have have a fresh food ordering counter. Their chicken curry had more meat in it than I've ever seen offered by anu restaurant so that was definitely a bonus. Their samosas were divine and their parathas were perfectly flakey. They even offer free chair for shoppers which is a huge bonus because I LOVE CHAI. The best part is that the staff who work at the store are so friendly. The owner took the time to chat with me and ask if I had questions. Patrons of the store were standing around and chatting with each other too. It definitely had a great community feel to the store!

They've been in business for approximately six months one of the owners said. Their parking area was clean and ample. The grocery isles are nicely spaced. The shelves are very organized and look very neat. They have a good selection of food as well as non-food items. They have a fresh produce section that looked clean & neatly organized with a nice selection. At the door you will find complimentary chai tea. The owner himself offered and prepared it for me while I waited for my food. I think that was an excellent touch of personalized and friendly service. We chatted for a minute while my food was prepared. He offered a suggestion off the shelf when I inquired about something sweet. I had four samosas and a chicken curry & naan to go. It was very tasty! Just the right amount of spice and heat combination. The meat was tender and well seasoned. The serving size is enough for two or, in my case, enough to have leftovers for the next day! I wouldn't want to share it though. I want it all to myself! #greedyI asked if there was somewhere I could sit, he says that there will be seating available soon. That's going to be an excellent addition! Overall, my first time there was a great experience and I will most definitely be a returning customer next time I am in the area. Best of luck to this business!

There is a reason why this filthy food court market has one review.I had ordered chicken biryani for $8.00 plus.Honestly, they had used fried chicken wing, a drum stick and small piece of dark meat buried in the rice. The quality of Food is so horrible I had to call the owner. The owner had acted like he didn't understand english properly and was so horrible. They can give that half ass cheater's food to the Dog.Humans should not eat because you will waste your money. You have been warned.

When we bought the pothichoru, only 2 vegetable items and both on two different sides of the rice thinking that they both were two different items, but going to see, both of those were two different colored items but same vegetable. They were kovacka, one yellow and one dark red with lots of Kashmiri chili powder. Not recommended this item to be purchased from there.

I agree with other customers comments ! The owner is more understandable, his name is Saji, but their multiple partners will not accept their mistakes. If we complain about the food was stale or went bad, they find some lame excuses that they can't ever think. Pointing fingers are normal here. At one point, they blamed kitchen crew who pack the food, because the closed the food container before cooling down, that's why the food went bad. Another partner said, since they don't put any chemicals packaged food in fridge only good for 2 days. Ya I was like in my mind, BS, business owner mentality. We all cook, we know how many days can it stay fresh in fridge if you handle properly. This best grocery is going downhill!
