It's been a while since I walked into a bar that smelled like cigarette smoke. We couldn't even breathe when we walked in. Honestly we walked around hoping to find a section that didn't smell. We did a loop and left immediately. It's dingy and gross. I can't even imagine what the food was like. Hard Pass

One of the things I love about Port Aransas is the atmosphere. It's a beach town that owns its simplicity and laid-back vibe. With that said, let me say that we have ben to Bernie's so many times we feel like they know us. They don't but it feels that way. Always friendly, always smiling and always kind. I can't speak to the food because I have never had their food, but the cold beer, great margaritas and dance floor makes this a fun place to hang our hats after a day at the beach. So if you are from Austin like us, be sure to leave that "big city" attitude where it belongs because it doesn't get you very far here. Cheers y'all.

Weekend at Bernie's! Just like the movie, this place is dead, but trying to make it seem lively. Coming in here, there was loud music, flashing lights from the dance floor, and lots of bass (not the fish.) The bartender seemed to take her sweet time. You're on island time here, and this place seems to be for the locals who aren't into the country music cover band at the bar next door, Shorty's. This has all the rap and the metal music. The bartender took so much time, I gave up eventually and went without a drink before I left to go next door. The decor is mostly stuff that the bar has gotten for free from the beer and liquor distributors. The place has a strong odor. The restrooms were pretty stinky too. Parking is easy, there's a big dedicated lot outside.

in town for the weekend decided to try this place . walked in weren't gre and bartenders ignored us . waiting for 10min. they were serving other people standing next to us . smelled like cigarettes and dirty floors.Don't go there seems the bartenders are racist.

The blonde bar tender at this place is a horrible. She is rude and very disrespectful to paying customers. We had a party of 18 ready to pay and drink. She purposely to look forever to take our orders and only catered to the locals. If you don't like the service industry then please find other job. This is a tourist area and we the "non locals" are here for good service and hospitality. You give Texas a bad name.By the way her name is Amy. Do youself a favor and don't waste your money at this bar!!!!

Reeks of cigarette smoke! Why do they allow 1 to 5 percent of thier clientele to stink up thier establishment for everyone there???? Just crazy!

We were the only diners at noon on a Monday. Should've turned around and walked out. Several locals smoking at the bar. We ordered and paid at the kitchen window. My wife ordered a chef salad. I ordered a brisket sandwich. Our friend ordered a grilled cheese sandwich. The brisket and sandwich were out in minutes and were tasty. We thought the kitchen had forgotten about the salad . It arrived 20 minutes later with the wrong dressing (containing dairy, something my wife's allergic to) delivered by the surly cook who threw it on the table and left. Based on the cook's attitude, my wife was afraid to eat it.We won't return. Too many other great food options here.

Great service, great prices, and great location. Crowd is more mature and relaxed(at least before 8:00)

I don't know what these chicken heads are talking about this was the best burger establishment I've ever ate at where they have homemade amazing burgers which are decently priced and yeah people on here saying it has a Odor, well I mean no Sh*t it's a BAR I didn't expect anything less but I'll tell you what once they came out with this mouthwatering ,juice-drippin , cheesy, caramelized onions, handmade pattie with a perfect amount of juice and flavor spilling out and the crispy buttery bun but overall delicious burger which was 10/10 For those interested in what I got : green chille cheese burger add fried egg and bacon you won't be disappointed
