Just spent 7 days and 6 nights at Bacon 44 RV Park in POC. I'm ready to go back again. Laid back atmosphere, everyone polite and considerate, no trash and no hassles. Don't expect a lot of WiFi on the 4th of July weekend. The park was rather full, but we didn't feel crowded. Nice site, bathrooms and bathhouse clean, pool awesome, pond clean and the ducks had great character. Quite and WiFi improved on the 5th; imagine that. Good people and really happy about staying there.

We just checked into Beacon 44 here in Port O'Connor TX. This is a nice park, our friends are Wintering here, so we stopped by for a couple of nights to visit on our way to the RGV.The Campground owners had a BBQ tonight, it was really a nice dinner. Many Snowbirds are spending their Winters here at Beacon44 on the Gulf coast, year after year. We'll stop here on our way back in a month or so.

This was a great stay. Park was quiet, pool was relaxing and clean and the staff was very accommodating. Nellie (the dog) was a great greater!

This is our 6th year as winter Texans at Beacon 44 RV Park in Port O'Connor, TX. The owners are very welcoming and knowledgeable of the area and all it has to offer. Yesterday Mary Jo took the ladies on a site seeing trip to Galveston. I have been able to enjoy several of these types of outings during our stays here. Folks looking for a warm place to call home during the cold winters will be glad they chose this park.

We came here not knowing what to expect and left, reluctantly, when the time came. This place is very special- the people are so friendly and welcoming, the amenities are wonderful and you can't beat the prices. You are a short drive to the beach and fisherman abound. We love it here and will come back anytime we are in Texas!

Our first trip in our RV. If all parks are like this we will have found an excellent way to travel. We were here for spring break with the grandkids. They loved it because the park is not on a main road so they could ride bikes without fear. The pond in the center of the park has catfish, bluegills, bass and a lone redfish. The 2 kids caught about 15 total between them. Beware first had 8# test line and got broke a lot. Moved to 15# test and all went great after that. The boy caught a redfish about 22-24 inches. The catfish averaged 3-7 pounds each. The restrooms (1-men and 1-women) were clean. Once the wife got cool water because someone had been doing several loads of laundry just before she went to shower. All the other times plenty of hot water. Some sites are cement, but many others are gravel and sand mix. Ours was gravel but drained quickly after the storms one morning. Sturdy picnic table provided. Full hook up with cable TV and WiFi provided free, so the $40 a day fee is not so bad. The owners are readily available and very friendly. Overall a fun trip.
