Great selection of souvenirs and beach needs (Umbrella, towels toys and the like.I don't know what the one reviewer was looking for that said there was nothing with Port A or Mustang Island on it but there was half a store full of that sort of merch. Also, 3 for $20 t-shirts was a great deal. Good prices on other items as well.

We got some great shirts made here and everyone was so friendly and helpful. Even came home with 2 hermit crabs. wasn't planning on it but the salesperson was so passionate about hers and I have had some many years ago that I decided to surprise my girls with them.

Great place with nice variety of gifts that you won't find at the other stores. Great selection of quality material caps and visors. Great prices on everything compared to the other gift shops in Port A. Super clean and friendly staff.

Everything about this store is better than the stores located at the main intersection. Section is far more vast and less expensive. The staff is nice too. What really stood out to me was the wide selection of hats and sandcastle making equipment.

More functional beach items, less tourist/gift crap. Good swimsuit selection. This store is on the edge of Port A, across the street from the Mustang Beach airport. The ads for Beachmart state that it is locally owned.Beachmart is not a big store, but does have sections for kids toys, college-age drinking games, "4 for $20" t-shirts, clothing and swimsuits.I found a cap that didn't look touristy or cheap and I didn't see in any of the other stores. Also found a quality paddleball set that was not cheaper at Amazon. My wife found some swimsuits that she liked. Good prices overall.I did not have any issues with service. The only thing I didn't like was the limited selection on some items. As an example, the Islander shop had more kites to choose from than Beachmart did.We will visit Beachmart again

All I wanted was a hoodie that said Mustang Island A tshirt? A cup? Sticker? Nothing in here says mustang island but a hat I think.

This is actually a tri-fecta review of the Beachmart, Ice Station, and Stripes on the corner. We have made numerous trips to Port A over the past few years and we always stay at one of the numerous beach homes around the corner from this group of stores. On an island with a ton of Souvenir shops, Beachmart is the best, it takes everything that the other shops have and simplifies it. There are the essential beach souvenirs, beach apparel, and beach accessories without all the unneeded riff raff. The prices are extremely reasonable as well.Second is the Ice Station (I am not sure if that is the name of it or not) it is located in the parking lot between Beachmart and Stripes. DO NOT BUY ICE AT STRIPES.... Stripes charges $5 + Tax for a 20lb bag of ice.... This thing will either give you 20lbs of bulk ice directly into a cooler or in a bag for only $2 dollars.... NO BRAINER.Finally we have Stripes, this particular store is the best for getting beer before going to the beach. They have a beer cave that you can walk into and grab your beer in bulk, also at a reasonable price. What I think really sets this store apart is the service, they always get people in and out quickly and always while being super friendly. If you need to do any basic shopping for souvenirs or basic items you can go no wrong with the corner of 361 and Beach Access 1A.

Rude employees. One employee insisted that we were too old to be shopping in that section & to leave that area to the five year olds. We were going to buy some of plastic swords for some beach fun. I'm not surprised that there wasn't anyone else in the store shopping while we were there. We will be skipping this store next trip.

We originally thought it was a grocery store! It is not. So we ended up buying a beach umbrella! Super expensive!

We usually always stop in here because they have the best prices on swimsuits. Today, we brought in a few friends and the experience was bad. We still bought a bunch of items, but after my experience checking out,I wish I would have walked away. The lady was so rude. I had a question about the Zinc Oxide and she acted like it was a huge inconvenience for me to questioned if they had colors. Also, that I'm an idiot for not knowing they don't have colors because it's the "Off Season". Then on top of her rudeness one of the customers tried to pay with a $100 bill, again how dare people shop with large bills. After the other customers helped the her out by making change, she would not wait for her to give coins to give the exact amount. Our shopping and spending money in the establishment was the BIGGEST inconvenience of her life. It's no wonder they are looking for help on the door, their customer service stinks.
