Beachcombers Vacation Rentals

I think it was five years ago when we stumbled upon Beachcomber Vacation Rentals as we searched for places to stay for a long weekend. The web site was very user friendly and made it simple to find the room, the dates, and the information we needed to book our stay. Priority for us was a place that would take our dog, Gertie. When we arrived in Port Aransas we found the office quickly and easily. Melissa greeted us with a big smile and we were also greeted by a very sweet Barney (the mascot I think). She asked if we wanted to stay another night for free and the weekend was officially perfect.The room was exactly as we expected and described. The bed was so comfortable we got one for our home. The salt water above ground pool was relaxing and cool after a long day of food, drink, and beach. We have returned every year for the past five years. It's a perfect little place for us and my family (they have been twice).

Beachcomber Vacation Rentals is the only place we use when we need a place to stay!!!! They make it so very easy to book a place. Melissa is the best and always on the ball! They seem to have lots of places to rent from and they seem cheaper than the rest. Try them, you won't be disappointed.

This is the first time we have ever used a vacation rentals. We have always used hotels or stayed with family/friends. They made this process very easy. The house we stayed in did have a couple issues that we addressed with the rental company which they took care of and made us feel at ease. We will definitely use this company again. It was great being so close to the beach(2 blocks away).

Do I hear Jimmy Buffet singing? I'm sure I heard "Margaritaville" wafting out of the windows of our rental before we even unlocked the front door. Aaahhhh, the Beach. Longing for surf and sand, we scheduled a long weekend in Port Aransas and found a fantastic house within 5 minutes of the beach. "Villa 4 Rita" is dog friendly and can sleep a total of eight. The setup includes two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with twin beds. An open loft sleeps 4 but it has a low ceiling and the stairs are treacherous.Melissa made our trip fantastic. We got her take on restaurants and took her up on a few of her suggestions. Check in and check out were as easy as the beach breeze.

If you have ever done a search for a house in Port Aransas, then you've stumbled on the only search friendly website - www.stayinporta.comJulian & Melissa Sergeant are the owners/operators of this somewhat small business. Not only is there website the most friendly, so are their prices. They never charge hidden fees and they carry mostly mid-range properties. They provide two tabs for dishwasher, a small dish soap, at least two toilet paper rolls, a trash bag, and all of the linens (towels, too). You bring additional of the other if needed - but this is a small price to pay for NO FEES.Getting your key is as easy as stopping by their office (located near the ferry landing). If you arrive after 4pm, there's a drop box and you can pay on your way out. You must put down 1 night deposit (you can use credit card online) and pay full amount when you arrive, but they only accept checks, money orders and cashiers checks up to 2 weeks prior to your stay. Upon arrival you can pay with credit card (although it's very courteous to pay with debit) or cashier's check. We once had several houses booked for a large party so I made sure to bring a cashier's check to avoid the fees.There are very few properties I've not completely loved in the last 5 years of booking with them. If you want an honest opinion about a property - hit me up and I will let you know.TIP: Hang on to your keys - only fees are for lost keys!

If you visit Port Aransas, and have not used Beachcombers, you are using the wrong company to find condos or houses to rent. Melissa and Julian are the best!! There website - www.stayinporta.com is easy to use, with excellent information on the units.Melissa is so helpful when you talk to her, and pick up your keys. They let you know fun things to do on the island and resolve any issues you might have with the unit you rent. From an owner's perspective as well, they are the best property managers. Fun to work with, always providing the best service, and of course the best on the island!!They have a variety of houses and condos on their site to small 1 bedrooms, to 3 and 4 bedroom houses. If you are planning a trip to Port A, use Beachcombers, you will not be disappointed!!

We just got home from a vacation in Port A and stayed at the Sunday Villas rented the from Beachcomber Vacation Rentals. I love their little houses and community. I love that there is a pool in the center of the complex and the beach is in walking distance. I definitely be going back and will be staying at the Sunday Villas!!

Great for your Port A vacation needs. The original spot was not ready after the hurricane. They quickly found another. Every year we go back to them and always have a great time. They go a great job and all there properties have been very clean. I highly recommend them.

Awesome folks and great properties for vacation. We come back year after year because we know the house we rent will be clean and in excellent condition. The properties are fairly represented by photos and descriptions on the website and Melissa and Julian are great to deal with and very responsive if you have a problem. Come visit Port A! It's awesome and recovering quickly from Hurricane Harvey..
