Baytree Condominiums

Dirty. I had to do a fair amount of cleaning up arrival. Dust and grime all over. Had to wash dishes before using them.

Won't be back to this place. Price was high. My sons condo was smaller than ours upstairs but still paid the same price. What a ripoff!!! The pictures make it look like the main bedroom was on the first floor but it was up a spiral staircase. Both my husband and I are disabled and it was very difficult to climb those steps several times a day. Also one of the ladies in the office are very rude.

This place was a great find. Our unit was clean and well furnished. Location was great with the dock just a few steps away.

Only place you can rent a condo with a boat slip on the channel. Cheap too.

Disgusting, dilapidated armpit of a condo...and way overpriced at that. The property manager is very rude, roaches everywhere, boats sink in the slips because of the boat wakes that come through and it has a an overall low-rent feel to the whole place. The spiral staircases are dangerous, condos are TINY and AC barely works in any unit because they are circa 1974. Don't be fooled by the only 5 star rating on Yelp, it is from the owner.

If you don't need to rent a boat slip, don't bother. The beds were old, lumpy and creaky. They didn't supply shampoo and for what they charged, they could afford it. We stayed in a 2br unit that was converted to a townhouse from an efficiency with a kitchen and a 2 br hotel room. How they connected was a tiny circular staircase halfass crammed into a 5x5 area. It was tough for my 88 yo fil to negotiate. If we had known, we never would have booked it. He would have slept on the couch downstairs but that was even older and lumpier, so he took his chances with the stairs. The wifi was spotty as well - not that you cone to Port A to be online, but he can't work a smartphone so how else can he yelp a restaurant or attraction? My guess is that the individual owners furnish the condos, so the quality of the rooms are going to vary greatly. I wouldn't stay hhere if it were free, ymmv

Terrible place to stay, disgusting units. Property manager was extremely rude from the moment we walked in the door. Way overpriced, not worth the headache just for a boat slip.

My wife and I arrive for our two days. There are no accomadations for the disabled. All rooms are on the 2nd or 3rd floor, NO ELEVATORS. NO ramps to the office. We were assigned a room on the 3rd floor. My wife asked to change to the second floor because I was recovering from back surgery. They changed our room to the 2nd floor but failed to offer help with luggage, etc. We reserved a water view for $169. p/nite our room was a pool view and they failed to adjust our bill. The room was clean but the TV out dated and furniture uncomfortable. I've been going to condos in Corpus and Port A for 40 years, and this was the worst. I will never recommend and I'm taking action with the Disabilities Act against the Bay Tree. I sent an email complaining and no one even responded. John Ferrell

Beat the crowds in this small quiet resort right on the water!! Our unit was well equipped and updated. Great views of all the boats coming in and out of the port, we even got to watch dolphins swimming from our balcony. The grounds were well maintained as well as the pool which we practically had to ourselves. The beach is a very short drive away and a bunch of restaurants were within walking distance. The resort is located right in town unlike al lot of the big beach resorts so shopping and sight seeing were right around the corner. We had a great time, we will definently stay here again!!

2 bedroom, 2 bath condo right on the water...had a wonderful view of the jetty and small marina and swimming pool on site...property has two balconies overlooking the water...we could watch each other fish from the small pier and docks located on the marina...many eating establishments within walking distance (we ate at FINS...sits right on the big marina and watched the Pirate Ship debark)...just a 2 minute drive to the beach, ocean and end of the jetty...from the balconies, we watched dolphins play all day and ships maneuver in and out...condo had everything one needs...cable TV with ALL the channels...can cook your own meals...stove, refrigerator, pantry, and more than enough utensils...A/C worked great...beds were nice as were all the furnishings...They even throws in board games, Netflix and water toys...only took us 2-3 minutes drive to get to heart of town....takes about 5-7 minutes to get to Palmilla Beach Resort...really nice links style golf course...greens were in good shape...Black Marlin has wonderful food...we stayed for lunch after golf and really enjoyed it....in our opinion, you can't go wrong with Bay Tree. We were a family of 4 with two teenage boys...also, you can pay a fee for boat storage and dock in marina during your stay. Check in was easy and fast as was the checkout. We had a great time!
