Bayfront Cottages

The place was clean enough. Staff seemed friendly. No hot water. Room was extremely hot when we got there. Bathroom was even hotter. Shower looked nice and I was super excited but my husband said cold wasn't even an appropriate description for the water. Very simple room. It had a fridge and a microwave on top of the fridge. We were only here for a night and didn't spend much time in the room, I'm sure that's typical for most guests. The room had cable and wifi. They have a private pier across the street with 24 hour access. The pool is open from 10-10. They allow pets but we didn't bring our dog. The beds weren't very comfortable.

Find another place to stay. The bolt lock didn't work & the knob/lock felt like it was about come off & the gap in between the door & the frame looked like it could easily be picked with a credit card, didn't want to leave anything there. bathroom was disgusting, the towels were rough & very dirty, the sheets had Simone else's hair on it when I pulled back the covers, our cottage had a busted out window, my husband & I had bites all over us after sleeping in the bed. Our boys at least had their own comforter from home so they slept on top of it & we were weary of showering and one of my boys didn't even shower because he was grossed out. I told the lady and she didn't want to take responsibility for anything. We were forced to stay bc we were here for a last minute family emergency & didn't have the luxury of paying for another place since there were no refunds for this stay. I will never stay here again!

Extremely disappointed with this company. We often visit and are happy to use this facility. However, we will never return. We made reservations and my grandmother was rushed to the hospital days before with kidney failure and passed away. We called to try and reschedule our reservations with plenty of time and management offered no assistance. We even have proof of her passing. We are out almost $300 without the opportunity to even reschedule & no compassion. Make sure to read the reviews here, too. The bad reviews are accurate. What a shame.

DO NOT STAY HERE! if I could leave negative star I would. The room was extremely dirty and my sheets had cat pee, the owner offered me 2 other rooms and they had a lot of dead cockroaches, it is not sanitary at all, and of course the owner didn't want to give me my money back . HORRIBLE SERVICE.

Me and my husband had a horrible experience here at Bayfront Cottage we checked in and when we went into the room we noticed the paint was chipped and the bathroom door was off its hinges and the bed had all sorts of stains on the bedsheets. And stains on bedsheets we are never going to stay there again. And one more thing that it looks like someone broke the door off its hinges.

We checked into this place in a hurry to get to an appointment. When the clerk says the maid misses things, that should have been our first clue. It was disgusting. We put our stuff on the table and left. We called the front desk letting her know after our appointment we will be checking out and wanted a refund. She informed us to go through booking. We came back for our stuff and turned in the key. The clerk was all smiles knowing she wouldn't refund us. I wish we would have known we would get screwed by this place with no backup from booking.com. 1 star is over rated but zero stars wasn't available. I have plenty of pictures but for some reason they are not uploading.

Room smelled like mold, had other people's items left in the shower that's probably why the sheets were so dam dirty (never changed out). The small little table was so dirty with food on it, tv was broken looking like it was going to fall. Rude customer service! When lifting the sheets so they can replace them we saw small rodents crawl in between the bed. Left and demanded the $ back. Got denied even though we stayed there less than 20 minutes.

Me and my wife were going to stay here for our honeymoon wanted to go fishing and stay in a cabin type atmosphere but we got there and the room was the exact opposite of what the pictures on the web page looked like it was awful broken bathroom door broken windows and the bed sheets was stained and comforter was stained paint was chipped all Over the walls and bathroom was nasty we was there 2houts before we decided to leave because we didn't want to stay there and the lady was very rude and wouldn't give any money back and we paid for 2 Nights and wasn't even there for 2 hours and wasn't on the property at that time so I do not recommend this place

If I could rate this place a 0 I would. Save your money unless you like being woken up with roaches one you!!! There are bed bugs, roaches, stained sheets, rats, broken windows ECT. Very disappointed and disgusting place. Managers very rude and unprofessional, acting like this isn't a problem, didn't even give us a refund after we paid $600 for 3 nights!!! This is a health hazard, to adults, kids & fur babies! STAY AWAY!!!!

We reserved this two bed room in Rockport, Texas. Online they advertise a pier that looks like it is newly built , a pool , pets are allowed, & clean rooms. Well , let me just make this short. Pool has no water in it, the pier is not functional and my kids woke this morning COVERED IN BED BUG BITES. The management tried to deny but I have pictures of the bed bugs. DISGUSTING! And now what do we do ? Get an infestation in our home!?!?!? So they did refund me for the next two nights but offered no concession or refund for the first night. There is no telling what the after effects could be from this. My rating is actually a NEGATIVE 10 stars but yelp makes you put one.
