Average Joe's Sports Bar & Grill

This is probably the worst bar in Laredo. It used to be so cool with karaoke nights consisting of cool bands playing but now they bring djs that play ratchet music on a Tuesday night. I would recommend going to old number 2 or maybe On The Rocks orrrr Classic Tavern. Honestly.

Went here for Comedy Jam with my friend, got here about nine o'clock to get tables, and a waitress came by to ask what we wanted to drink. So we order, by the time she came back with our drinks the she asked about our ID which I didn't have a problem because I'm twenty one. But the weird part was she took my id and my friend to the back. Really? You haven't seen an ID from California before? That's one thing that ruined my night just a bit, other than the show was funny. Kept me laughing all night, I don't remember those comedian names but I knew one is pretty well known he's on MTV and VH1. His line that he always said "Chicken Nugget"

$2 you call it? Yes, please. Usually don't come here till late, but came early recently and discovered this awesome deal.

It's pretty much a dirty bar with nothing much to look at. They have karaoke and its pretty whack. As soon as I got here I wanted to leave.

Decent atmosphere. Great stage. And very reasonable drink prices (by Austin standards). And the women who patronize it are dressed less ridiculously than at other L-town bars.

Visiting from out of town and wanted a cool, chillax place to grab some beers with friends. AJ's is perfect! We played some pool, laughed at the karaoke, watched people play some beer pong, and just had a great night in general. Highly recommend.

Dirty place dont think they've cleaned anything since it opened I.think these guys own laredo pizza factory yea thats gross how do they pass annual inspections who knows

Laid-back bar, not too many pretentious f*cks here. The beer selection is kinda small, but the prices are okay, & the staff are way friendly, especially the doorman. Big thumbs up for the live music on most weekends, definitely my favorite hangout in town since returning to Laredo.

This place is awesome. Decent selection of beer. Pretty good music, on most nights, and sometimes they'll bring in some pretty cool bands. Crowd is cool too. I've met a lot of nice people on my visits here. Only bad thing is the staff. I've been here several times, and I still don't know what a pitcher of beer costs because it's a different price every time. I know they're charging me the tip which I find wrong. I'm a great tipper. I just don't like being told that a pitcher of bud light is $13 when last week it was $10, and the week before, it was $9. I understand these waitresses and bar tenders are looking out for themselves, and protecting themselves against people who don't tip, but that's the business. I live off of tips too. I you want a job with a steady paycheck, don't be a server or bartender. It's a little annoying. Other than that, though, it's a place I can relax with some buddies, and maybe even play some pool or beer pong.
