After having scheduled for a wellness certification for a major move off the mainland almost two weeks in advance for my service dog, and my husband even confirming what was needed, the day before,I drove all the way from Beeville (over an hour) as I pulled into the parking lot and I received a call that the Dr could not perform this certification. (The fact that the doctor was unable to perform the certification is not the problem so much as they've had my information for over two weeks and should have researched to see if they were able to do that before allowing me to drive over an hour with no referral given at the end of the phone call. Basically it was a your SOL lady.

I am new in town. I called 2 days ago to have the vet examine my Pugs teeth. He is 11 years old and they have gotten in pretty bad shape and he was evidently in a great deal of pain. The receptionist made an appointment with us for this afternoon. The same receptionist called back yesterday saying the vet was overbooked and I agreed to rebook for Monday. As my little guy had gotten worse, lethargic and would quiver if you touched his cheek, I decided to drop in and see if the vet could just do a quick check on his teeth, and give him a few antibiotics to help get him through the weekend until his scheduled appointment. The male receptionist explained the situation to the veterinarian and yet she refused to look at him or administer a couple of pills to get him through the weekend until his appointment on Monday. It would have taken her 5 minutes.I cancelled the Monday appointment and am taking him to his prior Vet in Corpus Christi.I realize this person was overbooked, but whose fault would that be? Surely not my pet or myself! Also if this woman veterinarian values 5 minutes of her precious time more so than helping a sick animal in pain, what does that tell you about her?I'm glad the previous person who gave this veterinarian an excellent review was pleased and her animal was cared for in a professional and compassionate fashion. Perhaps the doc wasn't overbooked that day and she was cheerful and feigned concern for her animal.Perhaps this animal doctor should look into another profession. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck..well you get the idea. I have no reason to lie about my experience today.

This clinic is the most Uncompassionate, unreliable uncommunicative place I've ever seen. They don't care if your pet is dying. They don't Care !!!As far as I'm concerned this vet should just Shut the Door!!!! because that's what they do to people and their pets in need !!!! They have Zero Empathy Zero!!!!I only give one star because you can't post Zero-Negative or No Stars !!!!

The kindness and care the physician and staff gave to my cat was great. They answered all my questions. They followed up the next day and when I told them my concerns they responded.

I have taken all of my pets to Dr. McInnis for years. She has always been super helpful and I like the way she works. I never have to wait long for my appointment. And once I've been shown into the exam room, she is always there and ready to help. She always answers the questions that I have and does not try to rush me out. She also understands that I don't have a lot of money to spend and she will tell me what she recommends that we do and what services can wait until a later date. My cat has FIV and she always special orders the immune booster paste for him because he won't eat the chews. One day he was experiencing issues with urinating and I called in the morning and they told me they could get me in right away. As soon as I hung up the phone, I took him to the clinic and she was ready to treat him. The only reason we aren't seeing her anymore is because we moved three hours away, but I am ready to move back. All of the vets that I have dealt with in my new home keep me waiting for hours after being shown into the exam room, and I have to tell everything to a vet tech who then tells the vet, who then asks me to explain everything that I have already explained to the vet tech. With Dr. McInnis, she was always in the room with me and my pet and with the exception of surgery, has always done all the procedures in front of me. These other vets take my pets and don't let me see the examination, which is sketchy to me. If I ever get the chance to move back home, Dr. McInnis will be the vet that my pets see.
