Apollo’s Coffee

First off, I cannot believe it's taken me almost 3y to make an review, I've been a Yelper for about 15y! We moved to Copper Canyon 2y ago and lived about a year in Stone Oak while the house was being built... needless to say, we've been frequenting Apollo's for at least 3y and by "frequent" my husband is here 3-4x/wk! I'm here about 1x/wk on my own with our little boy who LoVES their Chocolate muffins and Italian sodas or kids temp Cocoa. My go to is a Cosmo (short & hot) or their iced Pomegranate green tea (large). It may not be 5* every single time, however more often than not it is 5*. I think it's especially rude of our community in particular to come on here only to write a bad review when you admit right in your review this used to be your favorite spot. That's just ugly and unnecessary for a small business and the predominantly young staff that work here. More so for those of you who claim you used to be Baristas, come on now... seriously??? As someone who was actually in the Service/Hospitality Industry for over 20y as a server, bartender, and barista... 3 of my daughters have also been baristas... As such, you know from personal experience that every day is not a 5* and every day, every staff member isn't going to be at their very best... they're human beings after all not robots! But overall, yes, this place is 5* and we will keep coming back to support a local business in our community even on the not so perfect days because that's what being in community with people is all about. And one last thing... to complain about the straws or lid opening and really deduct stars over something so insignificant or easily resolved like asking for another lid or straw...or asking to make something half as sweet if you know that particular drink traditionally runs sweet... that's on you, not the baristas! Just stop!

We very much enjoy Apollo's coffee, customer service and pricing. I know that every time I go, my Americano with half-n-half or Iced Coffee will taste great. Their seasonal drinks and sweetened cold foam are pretty good too, just not my regular order. They have great staff who are nice and professional- which we appreciate. I've been having skin issues, so I wrote to the coffee places we visit asking what kind of water filtration they use. Only Apollo answered, and I was given the system they use - so no fluoride, chlorine or other bad things in their water. This was helpful to my skin issue, and I appreciate their transparency. It's our No. 1 place to go.

A little out of the way for us, but if you happen to be in the area it's worth a stop. They have seasonal coffees right now and are really good. Customer service was good.

The smoothest and creamiest matcha latte I've ever had!Former coffee shop and specialty tea shop barista here, and I was super surprised and delighted by this hole in the wall coffee shop. This place was really easy to drive by as it's right off the highway in front of a wood cutting yard and doesn't look like your average coffee shop. But as they say, looks can be deceiving. The drinks were S-tier quality and the baristas were prompt with our order.The menu isn't extensive, but covers all of your basics, naming a few of their unique beverages off of the Signature Series in line with their astrology theme. We ordered an Astro and and Iced Green Tea Latte off of the Signature Series. The Astro is an Irish Cream Latte, the cream super rich to pair quite nicely with the espresso but subtle enough as to not overpower the drink. It was steamed perfectly, easily one of the smoothest espresso lattes I've had, very well executed. The Iced Green Tea Latte, however, really was the star of the show, and no matter how fantastic the Irish Cream Latte was it just couldn't compare, but maybe that's just because I've always been more of a tea fan. The grade of matcha they used was top of the line and they did not skimp on the amount either. You could fully taste and appreciate the matcha itself with each sip instead of having a more diluted flavor as is what happens with a lot of coffee shop matcha drinks. The whole milk was rich and creamy and complimented the natural bitterness of the matcha, evening the flavor profiles all too perfectly. To top everything off, these drinks are insanely inexpensive. We spent $8.34 on these two 16 oz lattes and it felt like a steal with how incredible they were.Again, as a former barista, I cannot praise these lattes enough. Though Apollo's Coffee is slightly out of the way compared to other shops, I cannot recommend it enough. These drinks are perfection.

Tried the sugar free Sticky Toffee, caramel and toffee! Super good. Also excellent location, friendly staff.

Once again I'm trying to just chug this coffee I paid too much for bc I need the caffeine but it's not up to their previous standards. When we moved to the area, Apollo's was some of the best coffee I had from ANYWHERE. Lately there's been a decline in taste and customer service. Very disappointing.Seeing that the owner or employees have responded rudely to reviews is something I consider to be unacceptable as well.

Amazing coffee let's start with that, the concept of this coffee spot is amazing. Drive thru with great customer service, make sure you get the stamp card. You buy 10 coffees and get 1 free and trust me once you buy 1 you will be back for more especially when your wife loves it

I ordered a sticky toffee latte large, which is a 32 ounce with four shots. It was the perfect balance of strong coffee and sweetness. Service was good as well. Not sure about the ambience because I was not inside, but the outside of the location is nice ambience. I will definitely return whenever I'm driving down 281.

Born and raised in Seattle. Moved here 2 years ago. Love Brevity, love Merit. But Apolllo is the best place for your both hot, cold and other drive up coffee stand experience. They are cheaper as well and staff are always friendly.

My new favorite place for coffee - please keep your prices where they are now.When I order a strong coffee, as I usually do, I always taste GOOD COFFEE. I don't know how to explain it, other than it tastes like real coffee, even ordering the macchiatos that I thoroughly enjoy.Keep it real, keep it reasonable, and they'll keep coming back for more. That's the big secret that not many others are doing..
