Amazing quiet location with great parking, attractive and clean rooms, with two of the nicest proprietors you will ever meet. If you're the B&B type, you will love this place and never stay anywhere else. My girlfriend and I loved the seclusion and serenity of the pool so much that we ended up opting to spend time there instead of the nearby public beach. It is also adjunct to the arboretum, so you can get treated to the sights (and sounds!) of peacocks and other wild life literally next door.I don't have a single negative thing to say - just give them a try, and you won't be sorry.

This is not a powder your face, get a massage and git yer hair and dogs did kind of place. This is a very casual, what you see is what you get, get away by the coast with some good food kind of place. It's Rockport - not Hollywood. The owners are extremely attentive (you can buzz them at any time from your room) and very informative if you are not familiar with Rockport and the events it has to offer. I like that they accept pets - and they don't gouge you for it. If you visit their website, I can tell you the pictures don't do their food justice - if you get the dinner for two especially catered for just you, you will not be disappointed .... delicious. One thing to note, as you are driving towards S Pearl St, don't be alarmed at some of the scary houses you will see ... the closer you get to AB&B the nicer it gets. To me, this is a much better place to stay, with a few extras, than most hotels in Rockport by the beach.

My significant other and I have stayed here a couple of times over the past year or so. Overall we have enjoyed our stay. The owners Beth and Smitty are very friendly and casual. It's nice to be able to bring our dog with us when we make the trip to the area. Visiting this location is so comfortable it's like going to visit a relatives house for a couple of days .This place i not for everyone. Sometimes it can feel almost too homey for those who prefer a clean, sterile, hotel-like environment. Even we were a little worried upon arrival. The location isn't the best. You have to pass a few questionable houses on the way in, but once you arrive it's better. A great fenced backyard with pool, bbq, and what I call a covered "hang out" area. Smoking is allowed in this area, so you will not be comfortable if that bothers you, as several guests like to visit and the tables and smoke. This is definitely a beer and pizza type of atmosphere. You won't find doilies under your water glass. The decor and furniture in the rooms can be dated and may not match, but it is clean. The breakfasts served with your stay are worth it if nothing else. They cook the food homemade and is very comforting. No frozen microwave entrees here. There is also plenty of tasty coffee available while you visit with other guests and wait for the table to be set. The breakfast is also included in the already inexpensive room so it's a great value.Overall we still enjoy staying here and will more than likely return again, even if to just sit and have a drink on the patio.

Wife and I waited to the last minute to try and find a place in Rockport for a 4 day weekend. Happened to stumble across Anthony's on Yelp by accident. Read the reviews and thought for sure they would be booked. Called and spoke with Beth and by chance, we were in luck. Booked the room and made the trip. For those of you looking for a 5 Star Resort, keep looking. Anthony's by the Sea is very laid back. Come and go as you please or relax by the pool or on the big patio. The breakfast that Beth serves every morning is fit for a king and will keep you full for hours. Beth and Smitty the owners are as sweet as can be and make you feel like this is your home as well.We will be planning more trips to Rockport and will stay here again. Anthony's by the Sea is a true hidden gem in Rockport.

I have visited here multiple times over the years and have had a wonderful time each visit. So, when thinking of where to stay for my boyfriend's birthday there was no doubt in my mind. Beth and Smitty (the owners) are hospitable, kind, and greet you with such warmth. When I stay there I feel like I am staying with family. We stayed in the Fiesta suite which is by far my favorite and bigger than my last apartment. We only had breakfast once during are stay and it was just as wonderful as usual. The Eggs Benedict were cooked perfectly. I didn't want them to make a fuss about his birthday, but they made him his favorite breakfast which was shortly followed by them singing him happy birthday. We will definitely be back.
