Amigos Steakhouse

Tried this place about 9 months ago, nothing but disappointment. Decided to give it another try recently, same exact experience. Only good thing about this is their beer prices. Only table in the entire restaurant and only one waitress needed on the floor at all times because there is absolutely no business but even then you can't get good service.

The five star rating is based on what is available in this community. I've eaten here A few times over the years and have been pleased with my order. Food is freshly cooked and is what I expect for a small town steak house. Today, we had the chicken fried steak and salad bar. The crust on the steak was crunchy and perfect meat to crust ratio while the steak was thick, tender and juicy.

Excellent fried pork chops and O rings! Not dry at all. Very tasty and delicious They are enforcing social distancing

I was craving a chicken fried steak and this place did not disappoint!! It was very flavorful and tender! I can't believe I finished my plate!!

Stopped to try Amigos steakhouse for dinner. Ordered the chicken fried steak with Mac n cheese and sweet potato fries. Chicken friend steak was not cooked all the way still had pink and breading was so dark looks like it been cooked in dirty cooking oil. Mac n cheese was delicious but the sweet potatoes fries were horrible. Hard and felt uncooked when bitten into them. Decent cafeteria food I would say.

Had lunch here today, had the hamburger steak. It was great, flavorful, cooked perfect. My sides were all cooked and seasoned great. It was a nice lunch.

Food was home made, from scratch, comfort food. We all had the chicken fried steak... After seeing it brought to another table, and mashed potatoes with another side. Delish! And portions so huge that everyone had more than half a steak to bring home. Will definitely be going back.

Whoa, this place was bad. Tried to order a steak but they were out. Were also out of wings. Being a small menu i asked what they did have. I ended up with the "special". The special was a slab of boot leather fajita beef, 2 tortillas, and 1/4 of an avocado. When it showed up i asked if that was it and he said they we're supposed to make beans, but they didnt. One of the wilder and most terrible food experiences, but the beer was cold and great. Also the bartender was very good and friendly. Hopefully this was a fluke for others, but not sure i will go back for any food just drinks.

Okay first off I am from San Antonio I come here to Clarissa Springs to visit my girlfriend and I pass by this restaurant all the time I always wanted to try it so today September 24th 2022 we decided to give it a shot. The food was horrible the service was horrible I ordered a ribeye steak medium rare and vegetables and a baked potato my steak was medium well a vegetables were cold like they just came out of the cooler the baked potatoes medium warm and the service was just horrible never again will I come back to this restaurant when I told the waitress about my meal all she said was do you want to keep eating it or you can go never will I ever recommend this restaurant not even to my worst enemy I wasn't charged for my food I was charged for my girlfriends which hers was overcooked y'all need to close your doors

Two times our meal was spectacular at night, one got the tuna, and one the ribeye. I have also had the pork chops at lunch a couple of times and they were delicious. Thick with nice even breading fried. Delicious.Well the third night was gross. The crab On the salad bar was going bad, and none of the staff noticed it? You could smell it! The pork was wafer thin, not nice size like at lunch. The breading was too thick for these skinny pork chops, over cooked and burnt tasting. We told our waitress who told some other lady who called a higher authority (? Owner, or manager). Some other lady argued about the thickness of the pork chops and said they are always like that. Ummm no. June 14 had them for lunch and they were thick and delicious. 4 people at our table ordered them.All of this and a $6 discount. Not worth it. I was told it was time of evening, told inconsistencies of cooks, but really it wasn't until the younger girl basically said they were always like that. Don't outright lie to me. Ever. Just admit it could have been better and you'll try to fix issues. The steak my husband ordered was a little tough. The chives for his baked potato had a metallic taste. Will we go back? Doubtful. I like consistent food quality.
