I ordered a cab the day before we needed it for 5 am to go to the airport. I told him we needed to be at the airport by 5:30, it that would be enough time and he said yes. At 5:00, I tried calling but no one answered. They advertise 24/7 but not really. At 5:15, no one showed up so we ended up driving to the airport and parking in long term parking. We now have to pay for parking for over 3 weeks. I will never use them again.

Today I called for a cab to pick me up from work. Usually they are prompt and very good customer service. But today I waited almost an hour. They sent me a van, on my number, it says I need to sit on the front, only when they send a van because I am handicap. The cab driver was rude to me and kept asking if I wanted them to send a car. Because he didn't want me to sit up front. A nice lady saw his face and asked me if I needed help. She ended up taking me home because she said he looked rude and she wouldn't have put up with that. If he can't be nice to people he shouldn't be working with people. I called and complained but I'm pretty sure nothing was done about it.

Avoid this cab company at all cost. We needed a ride home from the airport. Roaches were on my seat, ALOT of roaches. The van was filthy. When we got home we stood outside dusting ourselves off because we did not want to carry anything we sat on inside the house. Disgusting!!!!!

Contacted a dispatcher to set up travel service with the American Cab Company on Aug 15, 2023, for a medical procedure on Aug 16, 2023. I told them I needed to be at my appointment by 8:15 am (pick-up time at 7:20 am). No one showed up. Called the dispatcher and was told they just dropped someone off and was headed my way to pick-up. Told the dispatcher I needed to be at my appointment by 8:15 am. 7:55 am and still no one showed up. Contacted the cab company dispatcher again and was told they were short staff and was trying to find someone. And here is where the problem is. If you as a company know you are short staff and cannot commit to providing service, then TELL the person who calls requesting so they are not having to scramble to find someone else! In my case, I was SCREWED and had no choice but to cancel my procedure because I could not get another taxi in time to take me, SO THANK YOU American Cab Company! I will never use you travel service again. As the saying goes "Buyer Beware!" I would off given a 0 for this review if it was possible. Funny thing I used them before a couple of time in the past did not have an issue until now. This appointment was very important to my health you have no idea how much you screwed me! Oh, to the cab company, I am not looking for a response from you nor do I want one.

I have been traveling to Corpus for business monthly for five years, and I have used American Cab Company regularly. They used to be a good company but in the past year they have gone downhill BIG TIME. They are unreliable, the dispatcher typically doesn't even pick up the phone for 5-10 minutes and even with pre-arranged pick ups I have had several no shows. The last time after waiting for over half an hour for a "pre-arranged" no show, and another 10 minutes for the rude dispatcher to answer the phone, when I explained my situation about getting stranded at the airport he just hung up on me. I'm done with this terrible company. I previously wanted to help the locals (the drivers are of course just doing their job), but I will be taking Uber from now on for more reliability at a fraction of the cost.

Do not rely on this company. I ordered a cab 1.5 hours prior to the pick up time, I was going to the airport. When they were still not there 15 minutes past the pick up time I called, they said they would be there soon. There were no Ubers available. 15 minutes later I called again, this time no answer. I downloaded Lyft and found a car! 1.5 hours after the scheduled pickup time (as I was boarding my flight) the cab company called to ask if I still needed a ride... horrible service!

They got me to my appointment on time and the return trip even less of a wait. 10 minutes tops. The text message with order number and the call from the driver removed any anxiety about how long it would be. And that was without scheduling ahead. The drivers and the dispatcher were all very polite and professional. I will always call these guys for a taxi.

First time visitor to Corpus Christi and American Cab company I think was the best company to deal with. Cheryl was the dispatcher and Gary was my driver and both could not have been more polite, courteous, helpful and most important honest. If I ever need to visit Corpus Christi again I will ask for both of these people. lg

I was left waiting for a cab for 2 hours twice in one day I got a ride from a friend the first time which was cheaper but the second time I was left waiting it was me and a friend waiting for 2 hours a cab finally shows up and we get in the driver asks where we are going we tell him then he says we have to give him 10 dollars up front he would not give us a reason why we had to give him 10 dollars like he didn't trust us but we gave it to him my friend and I were already pissed off being 2 hours late so my friend said that he couldn't believe the driver was asking us for some money upfront like that after being late already and the driver mouthed off at him pretty badly even cussing at him before today I would recommend American cab company to everyone cause they were a great company and usually I don't let one or two bad situations change my mind so fast but today's experience with American cab was so bad that I refuse to use them ever again I will not do it I even called them a lot while I was waiting on a cab both times they had me waiting I called a lot and I talked to a lady 2 times and that's it all she said was that she doesn't know what's going on but a cab will be there in 15 minutes but a cab never showed up after the first 2 calls they stopped answering I had asked the cab driver if it was a busy night he said not really so why did it take 2 hours for a cab to show up? Well the second ride for me was to go home so I was dropped off and my friend stayed with the cab and went to a mcdonald's just a street over from mine he got dropped off there the cab took off when my friend was done eating he called for another cab to take him home and he sat there for an hour and a half waiting for a cab to show up now I don't know about everyone else but my experience with mcdonalds in corpus christi hasn't been that great they do not like you sitting there for more than an hour they don't like it at all they really like to call the cops on people that sit there for that long so the manager at McDonald's was giving my friend a little bit of attitude for being there for an hour and a half even though he is a paying customer they don't care so I will not use American cab again I hope everyone else's experience with them isn't as bad as mine was

BRING UBER BACK!!!!!! This was WAY to expensive. 100$ round trip for my ride to the airport and back. I will NEVER take a cab again. Warning: the drivers like to take the long routes and drive really slow so they get the extra money. So mad!!!
