We came here for the Incubus show and the Selena Auditorium was a great mid sized venue with a great sound system. Their drinks were very reasonably priced for a concert venue and had large beers. The only thing they could improve is the amount of space beside each seat. It was very cramped.

Had a great time during the holiday ice skating. The food is typical arena food but the ambiance inside was magical. I felt like I was is a Disney movie . The lights and fake snow game the holiday spirit

My husband and I attended Shen Yun, it was truly magical and an absolutely lovely ballet and performance. The costumes and talent were above just about anything I've attended. This review is specifically about how the staff in the auditorium handles their business. I grew up in Houston and have attended too many ballets, symphony performances, and operas to count. The same applies to Austin and Dallas, attending many performances over the years, taking my children and now grandchildren. I share that only to give a reference for this experience. Shamefully, people arrived and were still being seated a good solid 15 minutes into the performance. THE DOORS SHOULD HAVE BEEN CLOSED AT CURTAIN CALL AND LATE GUESTS MADE TO WAIT UNTIL INTERMISSION TO BE ALLOWED IN TO BE SEATED!! The ushers talking (not even attempting to whisper), using flashlights, disturbing rows of people being made to stand up to let late people into the middle of the rows was COMPLETELY distracting!!! To top it off, the ushers using walkie-talkies with the volume up and allowing doors to slam over and over and over again was horrible! It showed a complete lack of respect for the performers and the other guests who made the time to get their early to be seated BEFORE the performance began. I was embarrassed for Corpus Christi and ashamed of the guests' deplorable lack of manners. This caliber of performance is expensive, as it and others like it are expected to be. Guests, get there on time or don't go.Management, get your business in order. If you want to attract professional, quality performances then treat them as such! Lastly, POPCORN???? Are you serious? It's not a baseball game!! Listening to the lady next to me crunch her popcorn throughout the ballet was the last straw. Get your act together and treat these performances with the respect they are due and well deserve!!

This a nice conference center and arena just off the shoreline in Corpus Christi. I've only been to conferences here, but they have an expansive property that can house just about anything that Corpus Christi has to offer. They have a warehouse-style convention center floor, a hotel ballroom type setup and separated meeting rooms on the second floor, an arena on one end, and kiosks in the lobby where you can grab snacks. Their catering company can also handle banquets or set up pop up bars for cocktail receptions. The ballroom facilities rival some of the nicer hotel facilities I've been to. There's a spacious long-and-narrow lobby area, and the ballroom can be split into three smaller rooms. At full capacity, it can house over 600 people, so you can have some pretty impressive events. The Knights of Columbus have been coming down here for years now to host their state conventions, and it's always a solid time. There are only two main knocks on this place that keep it from being a five-star locale. One is the infrastructure-- they simply don't have enough elevators and escalators to move people around. When you're trying to move hundreds of people around, a single escalator for each direction just doesn't cut it. The other issue is the pricing of their catering. The snack bar kiosks are typical concession stand pricing, but their banquet pricing and bar prices are ridiculous. I always head down the strand to another place to eat or grab a drink.

I just have a question. Why do I have to pay $10 to park in a vacant lot? Also the area in from of the arena at the water, the lot you drive down into that has been there for 30 years, why can ABC charge people to park there? Do they suddenly own it? Public access parking highjacked by ABC. And the security restrictions are overboard. Going to see my daughter graduate and they are telling parents their camera is too big at the door. No signs posted outside ...oh but you can buy close up pictures they sell.....really? Don't think for one second the camera restriction has anything to do with security. It cuts into their already ridiculous profits

Foreigner concert was epic except for the venue services. Waited in line for 45 minutes for drinks. Our turn was next only to be told they were closing down, no more service. 45 minutes into the concert only one place to get drinks, everything else closed. So we stood in line and waited as city employees cut to the front, as well as others who felt it their right to join their friends. Where were the service employees then to keep these adults from acting like privileged teenagers??? $100 tickets to miss a good chunk of the concert, only to be turned away empty handed. I will NEVER spend another penny there again. The only reason I gave 2 stars was that someone had enough brains to get Foreigner here. Otherwise would have been hard pressed to give this place one star.

First of all I'm grateful and I love the fact we have this place to bring all sorts of talent and artists. unfortunately I feel like parking prices are ridiculous and the workers need to speak up and could be courtesy. Secondly, the security is worse than it was before without the medal detectors. And don't even think about taking in a bag/purse bigger than a large envelope. The security there will not be kind. Finally, I picked 3 stars because I'd like to see a little more kindness and maturity at the snack bar, security, and parking attendance. Do your part, speak up n be kind about it.

I have been to both, the arena and the Selena Auditorium, and I am very ashamed for Corpus Christi. Both bathroom facilities are not being maintained. The concessions are very limited, with low class pop-up stands, asking for your arm and leg in pricing, with a tip screen to inflict more pain. We went to see Barry Manilow and the Nutcracker. At the Selena Auditorium, we brought center floor seats couple of rows back. Those seats have got to be the absolute most uncomfortable narrow seats! During the intermission, everyone around us complained about the narrow seats and lack of arm room, and no, we are not overweight. I am so embarrassed to share the American Bank Center with visitors. I will not be attending any future events at either facility. I'm from Corpus, imagine our visitors' impression. Please relay this to the actual Bank leadership, as their namesake is not representing them well.

I think that Corpus Christi people deserves more than this place, we went for "Chicago" and I have no problem with the show, my problem was that they charge you for a parking space that's not even paved, not 15 but 25 dlls for that! Once you get there there's absolutely no guidance at the end of the line, I got in line for the wrong show and theres absolutely no one helping you! Once inside the seats are uncomfortable and you have to stand (if skinny) or get out in order for other people to get in their seats! The audio was outside and they turned the lights at the wrong time! If people are late is their problem, respect the ones that got there in time and start the show ON TIME!
