Back in Laredo again. Ordered the T-bone Med rare. It was awesome. As was the salad. Cold crisp and fresh with Thousand Island. Came with roasted red potatoes, crispy in the outside and moist on the inside, and fresh asparagus.Everything tasted great with just the right seasoning. Made me happy I ate at my hotel and did not stop on the way there.Dinner the second night in Laredo. Ordered the sword fish special. As always their salad was fantastic. It just the way I like it. May be just me but their salad never disappoints.Dinner arrived and was very good. The chef here is really good with the seasonings and flavors. Came with rice and squash Ina warm plate.

With food being most important, 2 stars was given due to a work colleague and I both ordering the same dinner and both having consistent poor quality. The second reason was atmosphere. The special was an 8 oz New York strip, Lobster tail, grilled asparagus and Wellington style baked potato. They are trying to have a fine dining establishment with their menu offerings, name of the restaurant and semi-high prices. But unfortunately that's where it ends. For $50 for the special, per person, it should've been an 8 ounce filet. We received our plates and the potato, steak and lobster were only warm. I don't think I've ever had a baked potato that wasn't so hot you couldn't eat it at least at one point. My steak medium and my colleague steak medium-rare were both over cooked for our preference. While it was food in the tank and I'm not that picky, some people care a lot and I wanted to give you fair warning. The asparagus was perfect and the lobster tail was large and well seasoned but fully cooked lobster should be opaque and not translucent. We both noticed other than the very top of the lobster tail, the middle to the bottom (touching the shell) was all semi see-through still. The wait staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean but the other complaint was atmosphere centering around the fact that you are in what feels like a section of cubicles in the open air lobby of the hotel. You don't feel like you're in a nice restaurant as much as down in the free continental breakfast area of a hotel. They could fix the atmosphere a little bit by going with the outdoor feel and having strung bistro lights and some umbrellas like you were sitting on the Riverwalk in San Antonio perhaps. To fix the food, I would suggest go with the fillet for the price and have a little better food quality control in the kitchen. Hope this helps somebody and if you decide to go ahead with this restaurant choice, I hope we just had a bad night and you have a wonderful dinner.

This place no longer exists. However we were told we could order dinner in the atrium. After about 5 minutes my husband went back to the front desk for menus. After another 5 minutes and no one had approached us, we left. So sad
