We are from Arizona we had to travel to Corpus Christi Texas. Our SUV stalled out, in front of the hotel! After taking it to a dealer service center with NO GOOD RESULTS. I called Alternative Automobile Solutions, Mario Tovar did HIS diagnosis, it was a timing valve solenoid. Mario T FIXED our vehicle, got us back on the road SAFELY. We got back home to Arizona with NO PROBLEMS! I was scared his prices would be outages because I called on a Sunday and he's mobile! Nope his price was FAIR. Thank you Mr. Tovar we are so very grateful!!

I found out about alternative automotive solutions a year ago was spending time on island when I blew my heater hose it was over the weekend he was the only one who had time to come check out the problem and fix it he did a great job then and he did a great job yesterday when I callled and told him that the battery charge light that had been going back and forth for past week was steady telling me that my battery wasn't charging I had a premonition that it was the alternator what was great he was able to squeeze me in the same morning I called headed to his garage but didn't make it because battery died on the way what was impres was he asked where I was at and came to me I thought he was going to give me jump to get to garage he changed my alternator right there where the truck died and it was raining he is dependable, honest, and a great mechanic he had me fixed in not much time at all. fast, efficient, friendly, I wish I had a mechanic like this where I live I would use him all he time. it is hard to find a good mechanic these days so when you find alternative automotive solutions don't pass it up.

Mario is great. We got stranded in Corpus Christi while on vacation. He answered my messages after hours worked on my car first thing in the morning so we could get back home to Dallas. He could've really taken advantage of us but he didn't. An honest mechanic who took care of us even though he'd probably never see us again!

Amazing work as always! We needed a fuel pump replaced and under 45 minutes it was done. 10/10 recommend!

I called and brought my vehicle in the same day. They immediately found that my ball joint was broken, and an hour later, had it fixed for only $364. Highly recommend using them as a mechanic!!!

Always responsive and the work is excellent. Mario encouraged me to seek the lowest cost parts to keep the total cost down rather than charging me a premium to supply the parts himself.

Need my alternator replaced and the soonest would be 4 days. Mario was able to do it the very next day at my house. They were on time, very reasonable and professional. I asked if he could change the rotors and brake pads on another vehicle and was surprised he was able to do that the same day. Friday evening, I received a phone call from my son that his car had a major break down on his way to Naval Air Satiation for his Naval Reserve Duty. Somehow between our family AAA membership service and the tow truck drive my son had car towed Alternative Automotive Solutions. Saturday, morning I made the dreaded phone call to the mechanic shop 150 mile away from our home in deep south Texas. I talked with Mario he explained the problem and gave me a very reasonable quote. He put me at easy with his knowledge and clam attitude. Since I was an out-of-town customer Mario agreed to hold vehicle for an extra day or two to arrange pick up after repairs were completed. When we picked up this big man with a smile put out his hand and said my mane is Mario you must be Alan. Then explains all the repairs completed. I also learn this is a family-owned business Mario, Monica and their son. Day 5 after pick-up I want to report car is running perfect. I 100% recommend Alternative Automotive Solutions in Corpus Christy and want to say thank you to all of you for helping me and my son in this situation.

Mario and Monica are the best! I am from out of town. I was working at Driscoll Children's Hospital for a week in order to cover for a friend of mine so that he could go on vacation. I have a full time gig in College Station. My car broke down while in Corpus. I had it towed to Ed Hicks Nissan on a Wednesday morning. They said, we'll take a look at it either today or tomorrow. By Friday midday, I had not heard anything. I called to see how it was going. It wasn't. They then told me that one more car was in front of me and it would be Monday before they even looked at it. I had to leave Corpus on Saturday afternoon in order to report to my full time gig in College Station! argh! i had told them i was from out of town and when i needed the car back. Everyone was sure it was just an alternator, an easy fix. So, i started looking for another mechanic. I jumped on yelp and found Mario and Monica at Alternative Automotive Solutions. They went and got the car from Ed Hicks that very day. They called me at every step. By noonish on Saturday, they had the car fixed (it was the alternator) and then they brought the car to me at Driscoll Children's. Wow! i was on the road by 2 pm. I recommended them already to colleagues! really, anyone who would listen! Alternative Automotive Solutions saved my bacon! They act like they want and appreciate your business! The best customer service ever. AND the car was fixed!
