Alister Square Inn

Loved our stay at this cute hotel! Very affordable & central to everything. Very moderately priced. Bedding a little cheap& no blanket. There was a kitchenette which was nice. The TV (30in) was kinda small coz it was hard to see from the bed & had an issue with turning on with the remote. Room was a little dirty with some some dirt & food in the corners. Dishes were put up wet in the cabinet. The thing that was disconcerting was the staff (blonde lady) wasn't very friendly! We had to rekey our card 3 times in a week. Also loud neighbors & people driving super fast in the small parking lot. All mattresses were being replaced...hmm? They do have a continental breakfast.

Bring ear plugs! Especially if downstairs! People upstairs kids running for hours. Can hear everyone outside your room. A/C making some crazy noises..But stayed cold ! Beds are EXTREMELY hard. TINY Tv but it worked!! Inexpensive and a place to get showered and try to chill. Noise is crazy if staying by stairway with people up and down with coolers and suitcases banging each step. Noisy and hard bed are the main issue.

Absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed at on the island. The pros: it is in Port Aransas, it doesn't break the bank, they have a heated pool and hot tub, and the rooms are pretty large. However, that is it. The office staff is super unfriendly and not helpful at all. The room wasn't very clean and the sheets were stained and gross. The beds were very uncomfortable. The room next to us was full of people drinking and partying until 4 am. We didn't get any sleep at all. I looked for a number to call the front office, and there are no directories located anywhere in the room. We finally called the front desk and no one answered. We even tried banging on the walls and they still didn't respond or quiet down. We will not be staying here again, even if it is the only available place on the island. It is cleaner to camp on the beach!

This is a good place to stay at if you're not a picky person. I would recommend bringing your own pillows and blankets. The sheets are paper thin. The continental breakfast isn't half bad though. The pool is very small so if this thats important to you this may not be a place for you. Overall if all you need is a place to sleep you'll be fine.

Most of the complaints that were written before are TRUE! Small pool, above ground Jacuzzi full of beach sand not even sure if it worked! The phone in my room stopped working 5 yrs ago during 2017 Hurricane Harvey and they never fixed the connection so room phone not working! Sink handles squeak and were hard to operate and very little pressure, had to use tub to wash face etc... Cable and WiFi went out just as we were settling down to relax and enjoy it, and was out for around 6-7 hrs before it came back on. Huge Cockroaches running around up and down the the walkways at night, did not see any in room though! Also, NO Military Discounts, Senior Citizens Discounts, nor AARP Discounts! I would not recommend this place, and will NOT STAY here on any future trips to Port A. Not worth the price paid for it!

Horrible service at front office our restroom toilet was clogged up and it says open 24 hours on the sign out front the guy rolled his eyes and told us not to be waking him up when it's is his job to be of service to Costomers. as well as blankets were dirty & had dirty restrooms nothing seemed clean or sanitation wasn't on point. Don't waist your money here. dirty rooms nothing works feels itchy

They should have paid ME to stay here. I don't want to waste the energy on this place I'm just gonna say NASTY.

This is a good hotel was cheap and had verry well space although we had trouble at night trying to sleep it sounded like there was people partying in the middle of the night and didint stop until 4:00Am then at 5:00Am they started knocking on our both doors and we couldn't sleep at all. would recommend if you are not picky or if you are a heavy sleeper although the guy in the office was nice .Although bad experience.

I will definitely stay here again I love this little resort. Vending machines even include a travel toothbrush and toothpaste set, and razor kit. Wonderful staff and office service close to the beach, the pool is very nice, also a hot tub. I love their attention to detail as they have a beautiful running bird bath in front with beautiful live plants surrounding UPDATE: There is a wonderful, caring and super sweet housekeeper here by the name of Tané. She really goes above and beyond to make sure our stay here is comfortable. She is an asset to this little resort I hope the office staff realizes this. She's hard working, efficient, friendly, and her customer service skills are on point! Yes, she doesn't come to work with full face makeup, she's just going to sweat it off. Please never judge a book by it's cover, you may just be missing out on the opportunity to connect with one of God's angels thank you Alister Square Inn, and especially Tané. We'll definitely be seeing you again

If you like being close to the beach this is a good place to stay but overall our experience was terrible. If you are downstairs or by the steps don't expect to get any sleep, people upstairs sounded like they were moving furniture and people next to use where up until 4:00 in the morning yelling and screaming. You might as well sleep on a pile of rocks versus these beds. Note to self being your own pillows and blankets and maybe a blow up mattress because these beds are extremely uncomfterble. We went to pack up at the end of our stay and noticed a big brown stain on the bed that looked like someone took a massive shit and it wasn't cleaned. All in all I am extremely unsatisfied with this place and would not recommend to anyone to stay here.
