Grate food and that have lunch special every day the asado de puerco was delicious and the Cabrito en salsa the my husband ordered he really like it and grate service

We have been driving past this place for years and I've always wanted to stop in. Yesterday was the day. As well as today. First day we had enchiladas that were great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Next day we had Caldo de Costilla de Res. Served only on Fridays til its gone. This was so good. Great food, great staff. Don't be afraid to try this place. You will be glad you did.

The address is wrong. This place is in Peñitas, TX (zip 78576).This was my first time here. I was a little confused by the two different names associated with this place "Central de Tamales" and "Alicia's." I'm gonna guess that they're two businesses by the same owners, but I really don't know. Either way, I ordered tamales to-go and something off their menu for dine-in. From the menu, I tried their menudo. It was lacking in flavor, but I added black pepper and made it taste much better. The table salsa was super disappointing, since it was basically just tomatoes. From the time I spent there, it seemed to me that most of their clientele is winter Texans (older White folks), so I'm gonna guess they cater to them by making the food as Tex-Mex as possible. Still, their tamales were very good, and the green salsa that came with them was awesome. If I go back, I'll probably be sticking to that.

My family and I came here yesterday for the first time to pick up some tacos to go. I'm not a picky eater whatsoever, however, the tortillas were so drenched in grease that I wasn't able to even try the tacos out. We ordered about six tacos in total and weren't able to eat any of them.

Was good but looks like it is closed now, had really good breakfast plates and chilaquiles.

I love the chalupa! So good!! Their salsa is fresh and so tasty. Staff was friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back!

I didn't like the Styrofoam disposable cups, the food was a little salty and not enough for the price. What I like was the red sauce and the attention of the waiter.

The best menudo and barbacoa I love the sincronizadas and tostadas they have a very nice staff

My girls love the sincronizadas from here and I like the pozole. Very friendly staff and great prices servings are good sized also

The best antojitos I have ever tasted their tacos ala plancha are succulent, delicious, and their sincronizada is something else, I love it!!!
