Restaurant atmosphere is friendly and clean, there is no Air conditioner so it was kinda hot. Food took a while to get to us. My coffee tasted a bit old since we got there like 11:30am. Chilaquiles were good and my husband had the chile relleno. I wouldn't come back. Overall 3 stars

5 stars without a doubt! Prices beyond reasonable, service excellent & efficient, food awesome! I chose this off of Yelp, but I am baffled why nobody ever recommended it when I have asked for suggestions before. The coffee is excellent for starters! Menu has lots to offer & well laid out. I had the Huevos Divorciados & I highly recommend it! The beans have a fantastic flavor, as does each salsa, though the green salsa was my favorite hands down! Great flavor & kick! I asked for over medium fried eggs, with the whites totally cooked - they did it! (Usually, I get runny whites, which is disgusting.) There was a tortilla chip mixture on the plate, they were soft with a white cheese on top - damn it was excellent! I could eat that alone & be happy! I forget the price, but not over $5, I think. My son chose the breakfast tacos - 1 egg/bacon, 1 chorizo/egg. Said both were good, very filling, but liked the egg/bacon better. Said the 2 tacos, with beans were a very filling meal! Come try it, you will love it!

Alamo Restaurant has good food & the service is good. Waitstaff is very efficient. It is a large building with lots of room. Don't let all the cars outside scare you away, there is plenty of room inside.Only complaint I have is the acoustics, when they get busy it is very noisey.......

So far, this is my favorite restaurant in Alamo. Have eaten there several times, and most visits have been fine.An interesting mix, as both locals and Winter Texans are there, and seems both are very familiar and comfortable with the staff.Has two dining areas, and a TV in one corner. It can be VERY noisy, so turn your hearing aid on low!Breakfast is served all day, the sign says these days.Service is always good. I get to practice mi espanol con las meseras. Now, some of my orders...1. French toast with over medium hard poached eggs and bacon; pretty plate presentation, toast sprinkled with white powdered sugar:FT soggy, exchanged it for regular toast. PE done hard, but it's rare to find it ever done perfectly. Bacon perfect. Toast was fine.2. Child's taco plate: Wasn't asked if I wanted shell crispy or soft, etc. But the soft shelled, full of mouth-watering chicken with lettuce and tomato was perfect, along with the Spanish rice and refried beans I added to the already too-full taco.3. Child's enchilada plate. Friend ordered it, she wished she had ordered the taco plate, but both of us cleaned our plates. If it would have been polite, we would have licked the plates clean!2&3. Served with a green sauce/salsa: Spicy, so a little went a long ways. Just fine.Have eaten there several other times, and probably ordered the regular chicken taco plate.See my photos.Occasionally, I stop by the bakery next door. It's fun to look at the desserts and pan dulce. If interested in buying, pick up a tray and tongs, and fill up a bag. You can't go wrong!Andale! Dale dale! Yum yum!

Great staff. They greet repeat customers like family. Breakfast special can't be beat. I often eat a sausage and egg taco for breakfast. Hamburgers the old fashioned way with a grilled bun. Yum. Oh and of course they have Mexican food that is real.I recommend this to our friends.

IOur first visit to the Alamo Restaurant was very favorable. It's just off of Business 83 and has ample parking. The menu features both Mexican and American. We had Mexican breakfasts which were very good. They had plenty of waitresses and they kept up with the customers requests. The wait for the food seemed a little longer than expected but they were busy. Good food, good coffee, good staff, reasonable prices, plenty of seating. Worth a visit.

Restaurant takes forever to bring in the food. If you are willing to wait 40 minutes for your order, then be my guest. Food is not always cooked as ordered. However, this review is mainly based on the server's unprofessional attitude dealing with the situation. Don't eat here.
