My partner and I stayed only one night out of the three we were planning on staying. After the first hour of being in town we decided to find another hotel and only spend the one night so as not to have wasted our money for that night. First of all, we were made to feel incredibly uncomfortable as a gay couple. We were checked in by a middle aged woman who made it quite clear that she didn't approve and continued to try to get us to get a room with double beds.Added to that was simply the poor state of the hotel itself. We stayed in a room that smelled horribly of smoke, and stale smoke at that. In the bathroom we were confronted by a toilet that would not flush properly, and a bathtub with no stopper and sometime of grey discoloration on the bottom. It did have a shower head but it sprayed in a weird pattern that made it quite hard to shower properly. Thankfully the proprietors were quite happy to allow us to leave and take our business elsewhere. That is actually the only thing I can say in the way of a good things about this hotel. Stay away at all costs, directly next door there is a Motel Six and on Ocean Drive in downtown Corpus with a wonderful view of the ocean you can have a room at Bayfront Inn for about the same amount of money. It's still not he Holiday Inn, and you can tell it's a cheap hotel, but it is much better than the alternative.

Didn't even deserve the one star I rated but I was forced to by default. This place is absolutely horrible NEVER stay here. I suggest sleeping in your vehicle over this place. The room smelled stale, the sheets are dingy, my rest room had feces on the wall by the toilet, and there was a roach in the shower. The workers are rude and pick and choose how much to charge you upon arrival. I was better off camping on the beach like I had originally planned.
