Nice hole in the wall. The food here absolutely delicious! The service is good and the place is clean. Great stop either for breakfast or for dinner.

Just when I thought I've had THE BEST menudo ever... I kid you not, this is probably the BEST of the best! I even got my husband to eat some of mine!!! And he does NOT like menudo at all! The tripe was tender (and there's LOT of them in that bowl) and the soup is just rich and full of flavor! I so wish they have a location in Houston!

AJ was exactly what I was needing tonight! I was starving and still 2 hours from my destination in the valley. The service was insanely good. Staff were literally running. I'm hoping they were just short staffed tonight. My margarita was good (based on experiences from other Mexican cafe type restaurants I was a bit worried). Surprisingly, not too sweet. The cheese enchiladas had the perfect amount of heat, little grease, and were $8.99!!!!!! I was full but not embarrassingly stuffed (I'm not one to take food home). Highly recommend!

On the way down to south Texas we try to always eat lunch or breakfast here. In 17 years we have never had a bad meal here. The restaurant is very clean and the employees are great.

Excellent amazing omelets and service. Great unknown gem. Very sweet fabulous food don't miss it you only live once.

Big Texas plate had crispy bacon. 2 eggs, hashbown could've been a bit crispier... Barbacoa Tacos were perfect... minus the onions but very full of carne and not fat, just the way I like it. The green salsa was fabulous... full of the perfect spices and picoso también. Hmmm, this pancake was so sweet and had a hint of orange. It was great! I shared my one pancake with Big Tex..!! Will definitely go here again before Pogresso and after!!!

Great food and service. Casual and family friendly. The shrimp and fish soup was tasty, and the homemade salsas very flavorful!

This place was bad from the start. Took forever for drinks and then. After 30 minutes of waiting the server came and said they didn't have one of the items we ordered. Can't recommend the food never got it. But the chips and salsa were not great kinda bland.

Food and service was excellent! Owner even gave us a sampling of queso barria after we had ordered our meal which was fabulous!

Delicious food, prompt friendly service, clean facilities, fair prices. What more could you want? This will be a planned stop for us every time we visit South Padre!
