Acapulco Mexican Restaurant Y Cantina

Food is delicious, service is friendly , good ambiance calm, atmosphere is great , nice lighting.

Had high hopes...husband used to work out in this area in oilfield, almost 10 years ago and it was his favorite place. We were in the area and decided to eat there for old times sake. Just from the get go, waitress was not friendly, but when we were about to place our order, two big tables came in, so she hurried and took our order, literally cutting me off and walking away almost before I even asked her for a queso. We got our Luke warm queso, and food as well. The cheese enchiladas would barely cut, so I opened it. The cheese was still just cold shredded cheese, not even melted. My son's was the same. She never came and checked on us once, my husband went up front to pay and get a to go cup for me, with us never seeing her again. But boy she was quick to be helping the big groups and being super friendly. I get it, she would make a good tip on a big group, but guess what? I like to tip really well when we have good service too. I'm not one to not leave a tip, neither is my husband, so we were nice a left something still, though I really didn't want to. Just a shame. Definitely won't be back, but I doubt they care lol.

Absolutely wonderful Mexican cuisine! Wait staff was fabulous and the speed of service was beyond compare. The restaurant atmosphere is conducive to family visiting and conversation!

Spent a night in Gonzales and this restaurant popped up on yelp. It's very good and the service is nice. I had the enchiladas verdes con pollo. Highly satisfying. If you are into Mexican music, their in house music is very good as well.

It was ok. The asada plate was good in flavor but not well served. They put a whole chunk of onion to make it look filling. Rice was cold. Tea is good though, not too sweet.

Stopped in for a Saturday lunch. Their enchiladas verda are amazing. Chicken is nice and tender and is packed with flavor. Chips and salsa were very fresh and has just enough kick to it. Service was friendly and prompt. Will definitely be back.

Slow service, cold food, and outdated menus that do not reflect the correct prices.

Acapulco is our family favorite ! Great authentic Mexican food at a reasonable price.

Best Al pastor I've ever had! As a family we also enjoyed the carne guisada, enchiladas, chalupas and chimichanga. All of it was very tasty! I can see why the parking lot is usually full when I drive by.

Best crunchy tacos I've ever had! Salsa is fresh and service is great. We always stop here on our way to the hill country
