We have had a poor experience with this company from day one. I should have known during my first unpleasant phone call that this was going to be a disaster. We purchased our home in Nov 2020. When I called to establish service, I was met with huge resistance from the agent I spoke with. She informed me that the prior owners had an incredibly large balance with them and they would not be able to start our service until that bill was paid. First of all, how embarrassing for the prior owners, their bills are none of my business and this woman was well aware that I was not the former homeowner. Secondly, how unprofessional to discuss someone else's bill status with a stranger?? After several minutes of pleading with this woman she reluctantly began service for us. I gave her my information and she asked for a second phone number. I told her we only have one phone right now, we were new to the area and did not have home phone service established. She, again, refused to go further until I gave her a second phone number. I provided my Mother's phone number who lives in Colorado- not sure what that's going to do but whatever.After we started getting regular pickups, we began to notice there were huge issues with the company. Our trash day was Friday, but the trash was rarely picked up on time. They would come whenever they pleased and if your can wasn't out, they would refuse to pick it up on another day. When they did come, they would leave trash all over the roads, anything that fell out of the can, stayed on the ground. They would drop your can however it fell, even if it fell on it's side blocking your driveway. They broke the lid on our can, then tried to charge us to replace it.Things lately had gotten better. I'm not sure if they had a come to Jesus meeting or if we just got an amazing driver on our route, but things were improving. Until the other day. We had a family reunion at our home and visitors staying with us for over a week. Consequently, our trash can was overflowing. We purchased the same style of trash can that we have from Absolute Waste at Home Depot and put our overflow trash in it. I called on Monday and asked if they would be able to do an extra pickup for us for a fee. After providing my address, I was told no, they won't be in our area until Friday. This morning I called and let them know I had an extra can to be dumped and asked what the charge would be. I was told that not only could they not dump my extra can because they had two drivers (?) but that they would not dump my extra can because I didn't purchase it from them. WHAT?! That makes no sense. I offered to pay extra for the driver to lift the mechanical arm one extra time and y'all say no? We will be switching to a different company, one who actually cares about their customers. I should have known when only four of us in our neighborhood use them that they were a problem. Even the neighbor who is related to them doesn't use them. Please, heed to my warning and the warnings of others in these reviews. Save yourself the headache of this ABSOLUTE WASTE of a company.

They won't even pick up the trash on trash day. They will not warn you nothing. So now our neighbors including us have trash overflowing. I called the business and an answering service answered and basically said they are closed till Monday. That's it couldn't leave a message nothing. So even the answering service is poor. This place is a joke.

You have no choice in garbage piickup where we live. ThiS is it. Never come at the same time each week. Sometimes never come! They miss well u still pay for it. They resigned contract with city of Robstown. Lousy billing system and no communications with customers. We have brush pickup once a month. U have to call each month for pickup week. Beyond them to even put holiday schedule or brush pickup info on the website....

We prepaid for service for trash services for our former address on Loma Linda in Beeville, TX on December 1. We sold our home on January 3, and cancelled our trash services with Absolute Waste effective immediately. We were told a refund would be processed and sent to our new address in Corpus Christi. Weeks went by without any check, so I called the Absolute Waste office and spoke to an employee who said our refund would be sent out on February 23. After two weeks of not receiving anything in the mail. I called back the week of March 13 and spoke to Molly. She confirmed the check had not been cleared and that it had been sent. We checked with our apartment complex to ensure it wasn't sitting in their office, and it was not. On March 16 I called back and spoke to Molly to tell her we still didn't have the check and she said to wait another week. I then told her this matter had gone on for over 2 months and wanted to speak to the owner. Mr. William Davis then got on the phone and was as rude as can be accusing me of "eating my check". I told him I was frustrated that I hadn't received my check and he was speaking to me in a rude and unprofessional manner and that he'd look into the matter early next week thereby still not providing me with the refund for prepaid services I never received. Given that the check hasn't cleared and that's it's about to near the 3 month mark, I would like my refund processed ASAP to put this matter to rest.

Yelp, please add a negative star rating. This place is horrible! I'm not surprised to read other negative comments and NO positive comments. As Rod B. stated: no customer service and they lie about everything. As soon as you say your trash was missed they cut you off saying the truck will be there later. The time of the phone call doesn't matter, they will be there later. My neighbor called to cancel her service because she was tired of the crap service and they called her the next week asking when she was transferring her cancelled service. The neighbor was amused with the phone call because she said they had never sounded so friendly any other time she called.Do NOT use this place. They are not consistent with pick ups and don't issue refunds for missed weeks. They are one step away from being thieves.PS Diana at Absolute Waste:Making multiple phone calls is more time consuming than sending out letters about a trash service date change and ALL the neighbor had their cans ready on our regular day. You just used having a disconnected number on file as an excuse. Lying comes as naturally breathing as to these people.

Wow - both of our crews (brush and trash) are awesome! They are always on schedule and take care of all our waste needs. I understand the reasons for the negative posts, but given their vast service area, I think they are doing a great job (and at a reasonable price).

Called at 3PM to tell them my garbage had not been picked up. They said they guy hadn't gotten to my place and would be by later (a LIE). Called back at 5PM to tell them my garbage STILL had not been picked up, got an answering service that hung up on me. Garbage piling up & I PAY fot this worthless, irresponsible service.

Very bad customer service. They say they went to pick up your brush, yet they don't! Then, the County makes you get rid of your brush, when technically if Absolute had done their job, that you paid for, this wouldn't be an issue. The office personnel leaves a lot to be desired.
