Arrived early for our brunch reservation. Since we made a reservation they gave us free biscuits and jam! We tried the mimosa flight, a yogurt parfait, the omelette and a Caesar salad. Food was fresh, hot, and came out fast. Excellent service with our waters staying filled and dirty plates cleared.

I went here after Beatrix was too full over the weekend in River North. We ordered coffee which was a bit lukewarm (the refill was fresh and piping hot as it should be) and a chorizo hash. My friend ordered a classic American breakfast of scrambled eggs, hash browns, and a side of sourdough which came with your standard Smuckers' jam in classic diner rectangular packets. I wouldn't say the experience or taste was unforgettable, but the service was decent and it was not crowded, which was a plus.

I'm so bummed about our recent experience at Copper Fox, but am reviewing based on this and previous experiences we've had. We came here a few years ago and the food was great and we loved our experience. Their menu is diverse and I remember their burgers being very good. We were with two friends this weekend and decided it would be a good place to walk into. Mind you it was at Patrick's weekend so we knew everywhere was a little hectic so we were elated when we snagged some last minute reservations. When we arrived the hostess told us that it was reservations only (we saw at least half the restaurant was empty tables). I let her know that prior to walking in we made a reservation for 1:30 (it was 1:05) and she told us we could wait at the bar. When we went to sit at the bar to have a few drinks she told us we needed to move to the hotel lobby area. We sat there for 20 minutes, unable to order drinks or appetizers, watched no one walk in, with tables and bar seats still empty, and decided to leave. We felt so unwelcome and like we were an inconvenience, and there were many other restaurants within the immediate area that had open reservations so we went elsewhere. Again I've had a great experience with the food and drinks here prior so those past experiences would be rated way higher, but I cannot get over the icy and rude reception we had.

We found Copper Fox while shopping around in Chicago. Very busy area. The restaurant looks fancier than we expected since they're calling it a gastropub, but I don't believe there's a dress code. The hostess wasn't super friendly or welcoming, but our waitress was excellent. We had a party of 6 and all agreed the food was just okay. I had eggs Benedict and it was just bland really. The hollandaise sauce looked and tasted like it was just egg yolk and started to harden like it had been sitting for a little bit. The fruit that came with it was enjoyable. I would eat here again if it was my only option, but will most likely try somewhere else next time.

Had breakfast - biscuits and gravy and it was amazing - probably some of the best I've ever had. Service was okay however there was construction going on and was very loud the entire time. Bloody Mary was solid but it's spicy only. Can't not have it spicy.

When I walked in I was surprised this place is called a gastropub, it seemed much more elegant! Hostess was not too friendly or welcoming but servers were awesome and bilingual! My burger was a bit dry, but eggs and fries were good, and everyone else seemed to enjoy the food. Was a bit more pricey than expected but also not too surprising given the location downtown. Wouldn't be against going again but feel for the money you can get better.

Unassuming little pub tucked away in a Marriott along the mag mile. Clean, open, not overly crowded. They have breakfast, lunch, and dinner.Breakfast is the typical fare--biscuits, eggs, meat, frittatas. Lunch is sandwiches (burgers, steak, clubs etc) and salads. Dinner is similar to lunch.I had the burger and fries. The burger was juicy and cooked medium as I asked. The fries hot and crispy. I had a mule, their signature drink. It was fine, but a little sweet for a mule. I also had foxy n' famous, a pineapple and mezcal concoction. It wasn't bad, but didn't wow me.The bartender was the only server at the time I visited, but she made sure I always had what I needed. Not a destination restaurant, but I was super hungry in the middle of a touristy museum binge and this was the perfect pit stop!

Cute little place, we went during happy hour but I forgot to take pictures of the food. Overall it's a good happy hour the drinks and food were cheap and we each got a drink or two and several rounds of appetizers, the Crab hush puppies and nachos were very good

A nice place to stop for a great breakfast any day in downtown Chicago. A cozy restaurant with a modern vibe. We were pleasantly greeted and quickly seated. We did not have a reservation, but I expect that reservations might be required during peak times on the weekends. Our server was very pleasant, the food brought out in short order, and prices were reasonable. A recommended stop if you need a basic breakfast fix while you're in the city!

The food was good. I ate in the bar. Overall service for drinks was very slow. I am staying at the hotel and wanted to take my leftovers and my drink to my room, the staff was extremely rude and would not allow me to take a wine glass to my room. When I explained that I spend over 26 nights a year in Marriott hotels, they accused me of yelling at their staff and the manager immediately went to the Tony desk to complain about me. What ever happened to customer service? The "manager " knows nothing about trying to work with the customer. I was at the W two weeks ago and this would never have happened
