Best restaurant in Surprise! Really friendly and professional service. The food is amazing, and you'd be surprised how much you'd love the Brussels sprouts as an appetizer. It's also has a pretty classy atmosphere. Best in Surprise. Only complaint would be the prices are just a little high, but I think it's worth it

First time eating here for my wife's birthday with some friends. We did a wine tasting before dinner, which was fantastic. Lynde served us & did a fantastic job. Dinner service was excellent. Moranda did a fantastic job serving an 8-top and all the food came out at the same time. I had the filet mignon, medium-rare, which was cooked to perfection. Mary's potatoes are very flavorful. My wife enjoyed the mahi mahi, also cooked to perfection. Dessert was banoffee pie, which I had not had before but I would definitely order it again.

Classiest fine dining in Surprise! It's our 2nd visit and our wedding anniversary. We had reservations and were seated right away. Carol, our server, was very nice. There were several flies who thought they were invited to join us. We called over the manager Chris who immediately moved us. It was a much better location. The warm pretzel bread is always tasty. Robert ordered Pot Stickers for an appetizer. The slaw that comes with it was delicious.I ordered the BBQ Chicken Salad without sweet corn and regular ranch dressing on the side. You can't go wrong with a tasty chopped salad. I was not disappointed. Robert ordered the Chicken Madeira. He enjoyed his meal. He ordered a strawberry lemonade with less purée and it was just sweet enough to his liking.I exercised self control and, for dessert, ordered 1 chocolate truffle. It was so good. On the way out I used the restroom. I'm impressed. It was neat and clean. It's nice that the stall doors open outward. This was a great experience!

We dined here years ago at a Chicago location and we loved it so I was very excited that they built one in this new, up and coming area of Surprise. We went on a Friday night and it was packed but they seated us fairly quick. We started with drinks and I really enjoyed their red sangria. Unfortunately my husband's old fashioned was watered down. I had the risotto with shrimp and scallops. The food is really tasty and our service was great! Kind of small portions for the price/ambiance (too loud!) so we probably won't be regulars. I'd like to come come back for happy hour and wine tasting. The little shop at the entrance is fun also.

My husband and I decided to finally try Cooper's Hawk and we were very pleased. We made a reservation for 5pm through Open Table and arrived about 45 mins early so we could do a wine tasting before dinner. (I highly recommend it!) Our wine tasting lady Deadra was AMAZING she knew so much about the wine and really made the experience 10x better. She explained the wine club and all about the company and needless to say we left becoming members. My husband has a sweet tooth so he opted for the Sweet Tasting while I went for the Lux. All the wines we tasted were amazing and (honestly it was a big part of why we became members). My favorite from the Lux tasting was the Meritage and my hubbies from the Sweet was the Cranberry. An added perk for the Lux tasting (which did have a slight up-charge - but totally worth it) was the added bonus of a chocolate truffle to enjoy with the wine.) We then went on to the dinning room for dinner. With it being earlier the place was not too busy, but by the time we left it was packed. Our server Justin was good, but he didn't explain the wines or that since it was our first time we could try a sample of wine. (Luckily Deadra had told us about it and suggested I try the barrel reserve at dinner - so I knew to ask about the tasting.) The barrel reserve was delicious and if I had not ordered the wine pairing for the cheese plate I probably would have just gotten a glass of it. Food wise, we decided to try the cheese plate with the wine pairing to start and it was all delicious. My favorite had to be the berry and honeycomb cheeses with the accompanying wine. My husband loved the Ice Wine (he definitely has a sweet tooth.) The plate was good but there was not enough bread for all the cheese so we ended up having to use some of the pretzel bread. For entrees my husband went with the braised short rib risotto and I ordered the chicken Madeira. Both of them were delicious, but I have to say I liked my chicken the best. For drinks with dinner I finished off the wine pairing (I don't think I could have handled anything more) and my hubby tried the Cooper's Hawk - Hawk Ale which was great also. Sadly we didn't leave room for dessert but we plan to come back and try some next time. All in all it was a great experience. Service was great at the wine bar and good in the restaurant. Food came out promptly. The place definitely had a romantic vibe and I could see this as a great future date night place. We will be back especially now that we are wine club members.

We really enjoyed this restaurant. I came here with my wife and son for our 16th wedding anniversary. When you walk in, you are greeted with a huge wine bar and a lot of different wines and wine accessories. It is confusing at first to find the host stand, but you will find it soon enough. We did not have a reservation, so I was told it would be about a 25-minute wait. While waiting, we noticed this very busy bar near all the wine and found they had a wine tasting bar. I was driving, so my wife decided to partake and she really enjoyed it. For $17, she was able to try 8 different sweet wines. What made it even better is that the ladies behind the bar and the customers around us really make you feel welcome and at home. After about 35 minutes, we were called up to the host stand. We closed out with the wine bar (signed up for their wine club, it lays for itself) and then checked in. For some reason, after we checked in, they had us stand by the host stand for another, like 12 minutes waiting to be sat. Which was odd. We were taken to our booth and promptly welcomed by our server. She told us happy anniversary and let us know if we wanted any sample wines we could try one and that we would get a dessert. She explained the menu very well and was very cheerful and helpful. I ordered the specialty double patty burger. The meat was good. It came with fries. They had a good seasoning. However, they tasted like soggy old fries that had been sitting for a while. My wife had the filet medallion trio and loved it, and my son had the spaghetti and meatballs. I thought it tasted fine, but my son wasn't a fan. He said it was too sweet. The server apologized and took it off. For dessert, we had the chocolate mousse cake. It was very good. The restaurant was very busy and well lit. The server mentioned they normally have very eclectic music, but we couldn't hear it as the corner we were in was very loud from the other tables. They did not do a very good job of bussing tables, we had several tables around us that the people left and they were unbussed for quite a long time. One table got up just after we sat and was unbussed until just before we got dessert, and even then, it still needed wiped down. The entire time, the chairs were sticking in the aisle, and every employee that walked by just went around them. Which I found weird as it would have taken little effort for them to just push the chairs back in and out of the way Overall, we really enjoyed it, and my wife is planning a girls' night and wine tasting. We will be back for sure.Tip - if you like wine. Get the wine club, it pays for itself, and you get a mango dragon fruit wine. (Changes monthly)

A disappointing experience. The front desk to check in was rude. The waitress forgot to give us a spoon for our soup. Our two tortilla soups were cold. The salmon was very dry and spongy. We came in at 11:30 for lunch, and they were out of meatballs already. The waitress apologized and her excuse was that the staff was new and inexperienced. The music was too loud. Seems like they're more focused on selling their wine than serving good foods. The upscale atmosphere doesn't match the quality of foods. Never again.

This was our first visit and it will surely not be our last! Our waitress Selena, was great, very knowledgeable. I really liked their master sommelier wine in the big barrel. I would have loved to buy a couple of bottles. Food was good, service was good, great restaurant. Will definitely be back!

Went here to celebrate a birthday what a time it was and enjoyed every minute. Food was awesome and so was the wine. You must have calamari as an appetizer to die for. Tried the burnt lemon sangria go for the white flights or bubble flights much better choice. Had the filet w blue cheese topping cooked to perfection. Everyone in our group enjoyed their food dessert was amazing too have the smore dessert or key lime pie. Service was good. The place is certainly hopping so make a reservation noise level was moderate we could here each other talk and at times hear music playing. Definitely will be back.
