Lovely place with nice view. Food was great but not worth the price point.Fusili Genovese: I don't think they know what Genovese is... I was expecting French-style onion and beef pasta sauce but this was just basil pesto with fusili. While the food itself was good, the name was not understandable- quite misleading. Fresh cornetto: freshly baked, really enjoy the choux creme inside. Olive oil gelato: this was pretty interesting with hint of lemon taste. I really enjoyed the flavor with the scent of olive oil and lemon. It was refreshing.

I recently dined at Contessa and had a great experience. Not only are the views amazing, but a very classy and chic vibe. We ordered the Meatballs Aldo, Fusilli Genovese, and Sweet Corn Ravioli--each dish was fantastic! The meatballs were flavorful, especially the whole grain mustard sauce. The fusilli had a beautifully balanced pesto, and the sweet corn ravioli was delightfully unique. The only downside was that it was quite hot inside the restaurant, which made it a bit uncomfortable. Otherwise, excellent food and great service. I would definitely go back!

Food was a bon gout.Service: lose the attitude. It takes away from enjoying the food. The buss boys are more cordial than the wait staff. The ambiance is marred by the constant traffic from the workers.

I loved my experience at Contessa !I arrived shortly after 5p on a Friday without a reservation. I had planned to go to the bar and hoped for open seating. I did have to wait for maybe 15 minutes before a spot for me became available. I was served a drink while I waited. From the bartender's recommendation of the octopus or calamari, she told me to go with the octopus and I'm SO glad I did. The octopus was probably one of the best I had. It was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. And the peppers had the perfect balance of sweet and acidic. The sweet corn ravioli was just as memorable and delicious as the octopus. The bar tender was able to recommend a white wine that would pair nicely for the two dishes. The bartender was friendly was friendly. It's definitely worth it for special occasions, and I will be back.

This was my second visit to Contessa. The first for dinner, and this time for brunch. Our reservation was at 2:30 PM, but just 10 minutes after we were seated, the waiter informed us we only had 5 minutes to order because the kitchen closes at 2:45PM.We ordered the French toast and the Fusilli Genovese. We couldn't add fresh fruit to the French toast, which was disappointing. My pasta was decent but a bit too salty, and while my cousin enjoyed her French toast, it wasn't anything special.Towards the end of our meal, another waiter took my cousin's plate without asking if she was finished, which she wasn't. It would be better practice for the staff to ask before removing plates.Contessa is a beautiful restaurant with stunning views and elegant décor, but the brunch menu felt quite limited. Am I dying to return? No. There are plenty of other restaurants in Boston that provide a larger variety.

Had brunch at Contessa on a recent Saturday. Beautiful space, but the food is is pretty basic and way overpriced for the quality of the food. we only had access to the brunch menu which was pretty sparse and not particularly appealing and again very basic. I had salmon carpaccio, which is basically salmon you could buy from the store on a plate with some cut up cherry tomatoes, and cut up cucumbers I've done this at much better myself. My friend had granola which was just granola with some fruit, and there was a lot of confusion over whether it had dried fruit (he's allergic to raisins) and the server should've known without having to go check with the Kitchen about it Although everyone is extremely polite the service was not great with during our brunch. They forgot to bring the pastry basket, when they brought it didn't bring any silverware which, and didn't bring any side plates to eat the pastries on which isn't goodService.... . but on the plus side matchbooks who does that anymmore?! My favorite brunch in Boston. The space is so beautiful and elegant. Perfect for a special occasion or just a nice brunch with a friend. The food was incredible, and the service was even better. Gorgeous views of Boston, in the perfect area, and fabulous food!

I revisited Contessa for the second time, and the experience remained as enjoyable as my first visit. Securing a reservation in advance is advisable due to the restaurant's popularity. The ambiance, complemented by the Boston view, is truly breathtaking. My waiter was both attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I opted for a sweet martini and was delighted with the flavorful raspberry martini. The waiter takes the entire order at once and served each dish in a timely manner. While the meatballs lacked a bit in flavor, the pickled onions provided a good crunch, enhancing the dish. However, the true highlight was the Spicy Lobster Capellini. The dish boasted generous pieces of lobster meat with just the right amount of spice, making it a standout choice during this visit. Overall, Contessa continues to impress with its ambiance, service, and standout dishes like the Spicy Lobster Capellini.

One of the employees stole our credit card numbers and the next day purchased $1500 of shoes at Footlocker. Wasn't until we involved the police that the manager finally called us back to semi apologize. do not trust them! We are never going back!

Second time I've been here and it did not disappoint. I really love this restaurant and they're very famous for their sweet potato carpaccio. I had the Bronzino, tuna Crudo and homemade pistachio ice cream and their Nutella cake. Amazing! This place is great for business lunches ,celebrations, and honestly any occasion. I've also tried the spicy lobster capellini which was divine!! The ambience is very 20th century retro 20s chic! Service was perfect!!!!
