Food was amazing and service was very outstanding. The ambiance was very calm and friendly. The french fries and buttermilk ranch were amazing.

Love the small menu they offer you just know the food is going to be prepped and served with their own distinct methodology. The service was very nice and helpful and gave us tips on how to order. You definitely want to order a few things and share. My wife and I ended up going with the Charred Brussels, Waldorf Salad, Sticky Ribs, and Nashville Chicken & Waffles. Everything was perfect and if you are a spice lord you may be interested in there Nashville hot it's actually got bite.We never had an empty glass of our Diet Coke order and to be honest we probably missed out on their dopest stuff with their cocktails, the bartender was making very cool drinks.Ambience is chill too and if you get a seat in the back you can see the food being made if you're into that.

Came in for late dinner when visiting SD. Decor is cute and inviting. The chicken was crunchy and good flavor. My cider was a on the room temperature side vs it being ice cold but the Paloma and fries were very nice. My biggest issue is with the check. After returning to the hotel I look at the receipt and realize that they are over charging on the tip. The amount is not large around .50 cent. I just don't appreciate an establishment being so deceptive. If you do the math for the recommended tip, the amount is more. But if you include the tax into the total the tip recommended would still be wrong. How ever you cut it I just feel like the restaurant is not being honest. Tip: don't just rely on the suggestion when tipping.

A group of 5 of us went back to Common Stock last nite & had a great evening....(We've now been here 5 times in last 6/7 months).Our server Leslie went above & beyond with the service & the food was excellent.The Brussel sprout starter is amazing & the Rotisserie Chicken delicious.We all highly recommend this place - ask to be seated in Leslie's section though. The other server had an attitude problem the entire evening with us & others - pity but it didn't spoil our evening - will go again soon.

Never had breakfast totchos before, so ordered them off the brunch menu. They make excellent tater tots (hopefully from scratch) , which have the perfect crunch and seasoning. The combo of the tots, bacon, cheddar, sunny side up egg and semi-spicy aioli made the totchos THAT much better. I got them as a solo meal, but it probably should be a shared dish because there were a lot of salty tots.

I've been coming here for sometime and what I love about it is consistently great. It's a smaller and sophisticated space with great service, small menu (which I love) that does classics really well and in an elevated way. Tonight was a Manhattan and the Nashville Hot Chicken. Both were really well made and had that little something extra in the flavor and preparation department. The Cole slaw and pickles that came with the chicken were the perfect accompaniment to the well seasoned and flavored chicken. The burger is the same, as is the roasted chicken when I get it - and somehow it's always a little better than I expect it to be. Always good. Parking is a different story in this neighborhood however - be patient or give an offering to the parking goddess.

My boyfriend and his uncle and I went here after we had brunch drinks at InsideOut. We sat at the bar. I love the vibes of the place. The concrete aesthetic with the greenery... LOVE. So cute. My boyfriend and I shared the chicken and waffles. I will keep daydreaming about that meal. It was so good. The waffle perfectly cooked. Nice and fluffy. And the fried chicken. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Seasoned to perfection and JUICY. I have been on an espresso martini kick lately and that espresso martini is probably my favorite one from any other restaurant I've been too. The bartenders were cool. Great experience would totally go again especially for those chicken and waffles

Landed in San Diego and was looking for fried chicken and came across this restaurant. Loved everything about this place. The beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces. The friendly bartender and waitress. The old fashioned drink was just what I needed along with the delicious salad and fried chicken and rosemary waffles. Sooo very good. I'm craving more and can wait to be back!

I had been wanting to try Common Stock for so long, so I wish we had had a better experience. This order was for takeout.Unfortunately they forgot a couple of items, including the egg on one dish. The chicken of the chicken and waffles was deftly seasoned, however the chicken was thin as could be, and therefore dry. The chicken was so thin, it was reminiscent of chicken skin. The waffle was very dense, but delicious when dipped in syrup. The tots of the meal were beautifully crispy. The shrimp and grits was served in two small separate containers, and contained 5 shrimp and 3 small pieces of sausage; the portion was okay but definitely smaller than we were expecting. The best item we ordered was the Vietnamese coffee French toast which I would highly recommend.I'd like to try them again, as judging by the reviews, I likely just caught them during an off day.Thanks Common Stock!Enjoy.
