Zachariah's Redeye Barbeque

Stopped by Pins Mechanical to catch the Food Truck. Was able to talk with Kimberly Harris, one of the owners, super personality and enthusiasm about their business. They are out of Canal Winchester. They have had the truck since 2016 when they converted it from a Potato Chip truck. Ordered the Pulled pork, mac n cheese, baked beans and cole slaw. The pulled pork was on a grilled bun. The pork was a little dry to me. They have two sauces that you can have. Both are homemade. The regular was a little sweet and had a nice taste to it. The spicy had a little heat to it. Both were homemade and great. The mac n cheese was of the baked variety with plenty of cheese in it. They utilize spiral noodles in their variation. The baked beans were made with brown sugar and some pepper added, very tasty, great texture (will return just for them). The cole slaw is of the sweet variety, was made with several types of cabbage, carrots, celery salt and pepper.

I'd give this truck more of a a 2.5-2.75.Had the pulled pork and the baked beans.Beans are too sweet yet not enough savory-vinegar sharpness to balance. They should try City BBQ's beans or Ray Ray's, even.Pulled pork wasn't too bad, just not exceptional.

The truck came to my work and I decided to try and let me tell you, 3.5 stars is really not fair for this place, I tried the brisket and it's really good! It's smokey and moist and the flavor is very good. The spicy bbq sauce is not really spicy for me, but I'm mexican so almost anything is for me, nevertheless, it is very good, it adds a nice touch of flavor to the brisket. If you remove the complaints about anything different than the food, you really have a 5 star place.This place had only 5 reviews when I came to know it. The only two bad reviews are not based on the quality or flavor of the food so those really don't count much, at least not for me.

The price is a little higher than I prefer to pay for lunch, but the quality is so worth it. I've tried both the brisket (OMG - melt in your mouth) and the pulled pork and have not been disappointed. So much better than other places that win "best barbecue" awards from surveys like Columbus Monthly, mainly because they have a bunch of locations and people don't know any better. I hope Zachariah's continues to come to the hotspot near my office.

Wonderful food and service. We had a lot of people in our party that day and they were gracious and kind. The food was delicious. We tried everything g on the menu. All smiles! This is now my favorite place for Mac and cheese and coke slaw. Inaways Ignore bad reviews that only speak to personal flavor preference. We're all different in our flavor profile. Try this place and you won't be disappointed.

Whoa! This stuff is amazing! I had the pork tacos on soft tortillas. It was so good. It has some type of yummy flavorful topping on it and the sauce was excellent. After finishing one I was full but I ate the other one because it was so tasty! Lol now I'm stuffed. It was really great! They ran out of food at 1:00 and I was the lucky last customer! This will be my weekly Friday lunch! Excellent bbq shredded pork tacos!

You would think if you were going to serve food at a large scale venue you would would have all the food you needed... nope. They didn't have collard greens or Cole slaw.

I'm a big fan of dry rub ribs and these are the best that I've had in Columbus. Super tender with a nice bark on the outside. At a lot of bbq places I feel that sides can be an afterthought, but the baked beans are incredible as well. Very smoky with chunks of meat in them. I just need to go back and try the rest of their stuff!Look for their truck at Pin's every Saturday.

The second time they indicated on their Facebook page as well as on street food finder that they would be at Midland Services from 11-2 only not to show up!
