A small, but very well organized, art festival on the lawns at McConnell arts center. Perfect weather for it this weekend and the trees provided some nice shade. So many beautiful works of art (and craft) were on display. All of the artists were very willing to chat and tell you about their works. Free parking was available in the high school lot and several food trucks were there for the hungries.

This is a 2-day festival in June each year. This year's festival (2022) is June 18 and 19. The festival is held on the lawn of the Peggy McConnell Arts Center on Evening St (route 161 just west of the square in downtown Worthington.Since moving from the square in downtown Worthington, the festival has more room to spread out and doesn't feel as cramped. Also, there is access the the restrooms in Thomas Worthington High School and plenty of parking just west of the high school. There are a variety of artists and craftsmen covering a wide variety of media - wood, ceramics, fabric, photography, jewelry, paintings and metal - to name a few. This is not intended as an all encompassing list of vendors. Also, a small selection of food trucks/booths.Well worth a few hours of your time.

In some ways, when you've seen one art festival, you've seen them all... Mid-June brings about a two day juried arts festival along High Street in Olde Worthington. The show is held on a Saturday and Sunday and features artists in a variety of medium, such as clay, paint, metal and wood. Jewelry makers, metalworkers and sculptors are also among the artisans represented. In my opinion, very little differentiates Worthington's art Festival from most others, but it is always worth strolling through the quaint historic district, then grabbing lunch at the Inn or Bag of Nails Pub. There is no charge to attend this nice little neighborhood festival.
