Such a cute remodeled home town bar! Nice atmosphere, clean bathrooms, in the heart of downtown Ashland.

A dive bar that is popular with the college crowdAnd a few neighborhood locals . The establishment could use a good cleaning and bit of remodeling , but what the hell , it is what it is ! The night I stopped in , the patrons were all having fun , and I guess that's what these places are all about right ? Certainly not recommended for a family night out but a good place to sip a cold brew and watch the world unwind in front of you ! All I can say is that the experience is "interesting" !My rating : 2 out of 5 stars!

The owner of the bar is the sweetest man you'll ever meet. He will just talk to you for hours about his proud Irish heritage. Great man. They usually have good music there, live singers/bands most of the time. It really is a great place to sit around with a small group of friends and BS for hours. Bartenders are nice, people are welcoming. I definitely recommend to come here if you're in Ashland for a night.

Walked in and right back out. The diviest of bars! Couldn't stay long enough for even one drink because of all the cigarette smoke hanging in the air....turns out, i like being able to breathe more than i like to drink.

BEST BAR IN ASHLAND! I frequented this establishment as a college undergrad and so many memories were made while "wheelin' it."

The Wagon Wheel typifies all that is the midwestern, working class dive bar. It has cheap beers, one of those old analog cash registers (no credit cards, of course), one pool table and a couple of old cue sticks, and a regular crowd. It's also the oldest bar in town, which gives it a cross-generational tradition. The jukebox is surprisingly eclectic, and don't be surprised if you hear both Bruce Springsteen and Outkast in the same evening. The crowd is diverse, from college kids to regulars, and there's always someone to talk to. That being said, if you're not into the rustic bar scene, this is probably a place to avoid. You may be regarded with suspicion if you're new to the place, but that will subside after a subsequent visit. There is no food served except on special occasions (Thanksgiving, Super Bowl, St. Patty's, etc.), and don't try to order a liquor drink more complex than whiskey and Coke, because they probably don't know how to make it (or even carry the correct liquors). Personally, I loved this place when I lived in Ashland. I never had a bad time there and the people were great. But it's not a stop-by-for-a-one-time-visit place, either.

Very low key and subtle. Always has a nice vibe and fair prices. A good spot to kick back and enjoy time with the locals or friends. Between singing along with your faves and pool, this bar has just enough to offer. Bar tenders are always very cheerful and polite. Good service and good company

They at least have new windows so it doesn't look completely run down. Always go with friends strength in numbers. Ashland has a lot of sickos and this where most of them go. It's a hole in the wall place be careful if you go. ONLY good thing about this place is the local Talent Jeff Ritz and friends otherwise don't hang around if they aren't playing.
