So here's a little post pandemic secret about Vino Vino. Ready? OK, go: It's right next-door to Figlio in Grandview Heights (actually about a block north of the Grandview Heights border so it really sets in the city of Columbus, but hey, who's counting)Anyway, back to the secret! During the pandemic, or so a server who has worked there for 2 1/2 years tells me, Figlio and Vino Vino, combined into the same menu. What this means in practical purposes is that the food you get at Figlio right next-door, and at Vino Vino is the same menu! So if one of the restaurants is packed and you can't get a reservation, you can still get the same fantastic food right next door. How awesome is that???Now, here's the big but (and who among us doesn't like a big but, right? (invoking my best Peewee Herman LOL)... Figlio and Vino Vino, while right next-door to each other, have a very different feel to their spaces. Vino Vino absolutely feels like a wine bar that serves food - while Figlio has the whole wood-fired brick kitchen vibe going on. Both Italian-American food in nature, in my humble opinion, but quite different dining experiences. Ample seating inside for such small spaces, and good alfresco dining available in the warmer months.

This restaurant is under the same ownership as Figlio's and there are some similarities with the food. Unlike Figlio's, I haven't tried their pizza here so can't comment. For appetizers, we got the goat cheese and the mussels. They were both pretty decent, but, quite honestly, nothing special. For dinner we split the tequila chicken. The dish is quite large as even half the portion was more than enough. The dish was quite tasty but the sauce was a bit more creamy than I expected. Nonetheless, very good. For drinks I got the Yalo flight (3 flights of red wines, and I only liked one of them). I would probably give it 3 stars for good, but the ambience is lovely and the service was good, so overall 4 stars seems about right to me.

This place is super cute and I will definitely go back. The food was good - I had the salmon and asparagus risotto and I definitely recommend it. We had a larger group so high top we had was perfect. The service wasn't great-- our waitress was super slow which was strange because we were only 1 of like 4 tables in there, and when we would order a glass of wine I'd be wondering what was taking so long and look over and she'd just be leaning on the bar not doing anything. Strange.. but not terrible enough to drive me away for good.

Vino Vino is such a great hidden gem in Columbus. Small place but very quaint and romantic. Tonight we had the chicken and crab ravioli it was amazing. We also had the mushroom polenta which is a must to get every time you're in Columbus for an appetizer. We have a perfect little bartender named Danielle she was a sweet girl took such exceptional care of us. She was engaging, attentive and very fun to talk to so I will say whoever hired this girl did something right at Vino Vino. Great all around experience!!!!

I was excited to check out Vino Vino during restaurant week.. while they were busy we were seated promptly, once seated kinda wished we would've asked to sit outside. Not sure if it was because they were so busy but I felt very crowded in the tight space of Vino Vino's dining room.Service was great, the waiter was attentive and friendly. Entrees came out a little early, which I would almost never protest food coming out too quickly, but we had just barely started on our salads.. most likely due to RW and the kitchen cranking out a standard second course. Food was tasty, we had scallops and the beef tenderloin; although dessert was amazing! White chocolate creme brûlée and a brûlée style key lime pie, yum!!While we enjoyed the food and good service, not sure we'd come back again simply due to their sardined ambiance as the dining experience felt too tight and enclosed.

Love this place. Great atmosphere and service. Always busy so get there early if you don't have a reservation. I love that you can order from the Figlio menu (both restaurants share the kitchen). The wild mushrooms bathed in a marsala cream sauce on polenta is unbelievable, I ate two helpings! This visit was the first time I tried a Gluten Free pizza. I haven't had a lot of luck with GF crusts recently but Vino Vino excelled. A crispy thin GF crust topped with truffled portabella mushrooms, proscuitto and gorgonzola absolutely wonderful. Can't wait to have again.

Came here on a Friday evening. Was seated promptly. Server was friendly. Wine was good, but perhaps a tad over priced. Food was also fine. Nothing to rave about.

The food was all great. I had the salmon and it was cooked perfectly. They also have a great wine selection. This is a more intimate dining experience perfect for a date. We had a larger group of 7 which they were very accommodating to. They even stamped "Happy Birthday" on our table cloth paper, just a nice touch. They also allowed us to use our own cake. We would've been okay being told no, but it was really nice for them to allow it. I'll be back for a date night!

Nice little Italian restaurant. Classy interior, with high tables across from the bar, where, if I'm not mistaken, they have wine on tap. The Cabernet is really good. Service was great. I ordered the chicken diablo, which is penne tossed in a spicy cream sauce with chicken and a few other things. The sauce was good; great amount of spice; however it was a little on the thin side, a little watery. The chicken had good flavor as well. The person I was with loved their ravioli with shrimp, and overall it was a positive experience. Would go back to try other menu items.

First time in after mourning the loss of Figlios. We all liked the space. Our server had been at vino Vino for years and she was great. We were happy to see so many of our old favorite items on the menu. Everything tasted great. We'll be back soon
