OK, I normally don't give four stars to small markets in small towns; however, Village Point truly deserves it! They have an eclectic collection of goods ranging from very high-end wine to wonderful craft cheeses. My wife and I stopped for a sandwich for the day after we went shopping there. Must say the sandwiches were absolutely delicious as well. The girls working behind the counter did an excellent job making our sandwiches to order! If you're in the area stop by!

I LOVE THIS PLACE!Driving up from Mohican after an extremely disappointing yet unsurprising experience where every campsite was full, driving through Hayesville, by chance, with no idea, when I realized I was very hungry and needed to stop for some food. We had passed this place about a year ago, and thought it looked like a very cute oasis, but sometimes these oasis places are actually traps. Not Village Point. It's awesome. I got a grilled cheese sandwich and soup of the day, tomato tortellini soup, which both were delicious, for a whopping $3.49. They also had a bunch of beer and wine on sale for 25% off. So I bought some of that because the only way to cure the pain of not being able to rustically camp for free is to drink the cost of the new campsite where they ask you what size your RV is when you have a small tent and a useless backpack. Village Point market is nice and clean. It's also a good deal. They seem to sell a lot of different crafty looking things, like craft beer, but also aprons and seed starter kits. It's also like a small grocery convenience store, and a deli and they have salads. The staff is nice and helpful. Anyone who is passing by should stop here and eat and by stuff for their camping trip or life.

My wife and I stopped here, finally, after driving by for years. We planned on getting a sandwich. I could not had been more surprised. The place is neat as a pin. They have a wide selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, baked goods, etc. There is also a full deli.We orders sandwiches by grabbing a pad of order forms on the counter and checking the boxes of what we wanted. There is an option for hot or cold. It took less than ten minutes to receive our meals and they were quite busy. There are several booths to sit at. Each is equipped with a little basket holding paper plates and paper napkins. A nice touch. The booths were super clean! Our sandwiches were very, very good and the price was right.I decided that I wanted a little ice cream to finish the meal. I opted for three scoops, in a bowl. For the first scoop, the girl put in three scoops of Chocolate. I had asked for three flavors and she said that that was just the first scoop. You definitely get your money's worth! Three HUGE scoops for $2.50. You can't beat that.I noticed that a previous poster said there were no restrooms. There certainly are restrooms. Perhaps they are new?I can't pin down exactly what this place is. It's a cross between a convenience store, ice cream store, sandwich shop, vegetable stand and more. I just know that I liked everything about it and look forward to returning.

Great selection of local goods at good prices. Produce, sweets, baked goods, salsas and more. Come here for a more relaxed and better space than grandpas cheese barn at 1/3 of the price.

Out for a casual drive with friends and Just passing by and decided to stop in , as the place looked to be inviting . This establishment is delightful and offers a bit of everything , sort of a " jack of all trades " for the small community it serves . It is a sandwich shop , ice cream parlor , vegetable stand , grocery store , nic-nack purveyor , candy counter , meat and cheese deli , pizza place , kitchen utensil seller , decoration supply house And MORE ! The interior is nicely appointed and folksy , very clean and organized and well stocked . Its employees are friendly and accommodating And it's restrooms spotless . Every community should have one of these businesses ! Reminiscent of the mom and pop stores found serving every neighborhood back in the 1950s . Hayesvilles The Point marketplace Has the customer care , personality and warmth that the large chain merchandisers have long lost ! I highly recommend this business ! Should you happen to be in the area , be sure to stop in ..... you'll be happy you did !My rating : Yup ! A solid 5 points !

A pleasant surprise that we hope to visit again soon! While on our way back north from a long day of hiking around Loudonville, we were drawn in by the lighted words "pizza and ice cream" on the side of the store. Everything was spotless and gleaming inside, and the employees were very pleasant and helpful! We were stopped in our tracks by an ice cream flavor called "This $&@! Just Got Serious", which was so good that we bought an extra pint to take home. Then came the to-go pizza that we were supposed to take home, too. By the looks of it, and, ultimately, the taste of it, that Philly cheesesteak pizza was too good to even make it to the car. If you're a pizza purist, this may not be your thing, BUT we absolutely LOVED it. The ingredients were fresh and fragrant (toppings were finely chopped for even distribution and easy eating), the crust was thin but substantive in all the right ways, and the oozy cheese they used as a base was something magical. Even if our pleasant experience might have been amplified by our hunger, there was no denying the quality of the flavors and experience that awaited us at Village Point Parlor. The reality that awaited us behind that glowing "Pizza and Ice Cream" sign at the corner of Main Street and Mechanic surpassed even our imagination! Bravi! We can't wait to come back again on our next trip through town.
