My friend rented out the recreational area for a graduation party. I arrived about an hour before the party ended (just getting off work). Although I don't know what was said during the scheduling, I wondered, towards the end, if he had been informed that he had to stick to the scheduled time. Being as late as it was, I assumed he was the only last renter of the day, since no one had a sense of urgency as the party's "end" time neared. Of course, when the time came, a large group of people appeared, waiting for us to clean and clear out.Even though he was a little frustrated about having to clean up so abruptly, I reminded the guests that whether or not we knew, it was our responsibility to stick to the plan and be off the premises by the deadline. However I think it necessary for any organization renting to impress upon the customer the importance of adherence to scheduled time. No, I'm not saying that it was their fault or responsibility at all, but somehow I think he and his co-planners believed they had the cut-off time to use to clean up, being as late as it was. Lesson learned.Thankfully, the incoming party was kind enough to let us scramble and dump everything without incident. The area was nice, nothing out of the ordinary, so I give it 4 stars. I've never participated in any of the July 4th festivities at his location over the years, but I have had my concerns about security from time to time, particularly with the incidents of violence. But again, that's on the people, not the organization. Some things, even security have difficulty controlling.

What a great park!- Playground is great for kids. 2 sets; 1 for older kids and younger kids alike. Plenty of swings. The whole area is on a recycled rubber that looks like green grass.- Clean. Clean. Clean.- Picnic shelter is spacious and has plenty of seating.- Basketball court and tennis courts.- Within walking distance to many shops and a few restaurants in Downtown Pickerington.

While this may be an ok park at other times of year, never, ever even think of bringing children here for 4th of July fair. Fireworks ok only if you plan to watch far, far away from this park. This was the most disorganized fair I have ever had the displeasure of visiting, a complete planning failure. Anyone in public safety should know better than to have huge crowds of teenagers in such tight spaces.I wanted to leave immediately after arriving, but had to park and walk so far, figured I'd stay away from the (possibly free!?) rides, just quickly get some food and water then head out. Got two philly steak subs which consisted of mostly onions covered in cheese whiz on a hot dog bun for $7 each, and a couple waters. Was about to leave when a huge stampede of "teenagers" occurred, including some 300 lb'ers jumping over picnic tables families were eating at, knocking them over. It was terrifying. What a huge fail, does not make a difference that the stampede was caused by a hoax - most crowd disasters happen when people rush towards something, such as concerts, nightclub exits, this is why there is a "fire safety" upper number event locations may safely hold. This was quite beyond that the way things were laid out between playground, rides and food vendors. Leaving was also a nightmare, crowds of teens pouring into the middle of traffic. I left my ride there and ubered out since one was nearby, and best $16 I ever spent. Go here for events at your own risk, I will not return.
