Still Excellent Cooking, Still Worth a DetourIt's been six years since I last reviewed Veritas (I don't review often on this platform), and last night's dinner made me want to post an update from my prior review. Throughout these six years (over 18 dinners at the current Veritas location), my wife and I have reliably had some of the best food offered at Columbus restaurants at Veritas. Josh Dalton and Dan Kamel are hitting on all cylinders these days -- last night's 2024 Holiday Menu was fabulous (the wife and I selected different dishes for most courses and so I got to taste over half of the dishes on offer). Portion sizes were exactly right for us -- and cadence was spot on. Service was attentive and warm, without being cloying. And, as always, the chairs are comfortable and the lighting just right for a meal at this price point.One of the things I particularly like about the way Veritas has developed is that the food experience here changes with the menu -- it's still a Veritas dinner, but the flavor and texture profile are almost completely different. You can go back multiple times in a year and experience different food (take note, Cameron Mitchell). We especially liked this year's Thai menu for that reason, and are both looking forward to the upcoming Korean menu. There are too many restaurants in Columbus where the menu just gets boring after the first several visits.I'm a big fan. Eat here, and eat here often.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary with drinks at citizens trust beforehand. They have cocktails that complemented the menu at Veritas. I am excited to go back to try the holiday super club menu in December.

Given the changing menu and ambiance on a quarterly basis, this review is based on the Thailand tasting menu, but would expect that Veritas would be able to continue to deliver a quality experience as we are eager to return. I love that Columbus has a restaurant such as Veritas that provides a new experience in a familiar environment and brings you to different parts of the world. During our dinner, there were 4 in our party and throughout the dinner, we had our waters and drinks kept full with attentive, but not intrusive service. Even after going to the bathroom, our napkins were replaced with a new folded one.The cocktails were very inventive and on theme with the Thai inspired menu. I love that they created multiple interpretations and didn't just either the local spirit or one cocktail - but really had many interpretations.I am eager to come back to see what their upcoming menus will be!

Veritas is always top tier!Did the regular tasting menu for mediterranean supper club and loved it! Veritas always knock's it out of the park with proteins, this was some of the best cod I've had in my life and the lamb kebabs were amazingly tender in a way I've never had before in a kebab. The deconstructed baklava I found a bit dry and flat, not any better than a regular piece of baklava and missing some flavor. That is truly my only complaint, the rest was incredible and our service was friendly and amazing as always.

This is our go to place for special occasions. We went to celebrate the holidays with our friends. I love that the menu is seasonal and they've changed the prix fixe menu to offer vegetarian and seafood options. Every dish is Art and tastes even better. The cocktails are fun and pair well with the food. Wine pairings are available but it felt like too much for a weeknight. There's also a chef's tasting menu that is far more expensive but may be appreciated by people with a finer palate. The ambiance and service are sophisticated and perfect.

We had a fabulous time walking down memory lane during our visit to Veritas for their Thai Supper Club Dinner. Hubs and I took a multi-week adventure to SE Asia in 2019 where we visited Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket. My favorite dish of the supper club was the red snapper, but I loved all of the seafood dishes where the seasonings and spices like lemongrass, Thai chili, lime/acid were prominent and after the first bite of each dish, we had to tell a story about our trip to Thailand. I appreciate the drink pairing too and having Singha bottles. Special s/o to the bread & spread starter. That dip was incredible!

I went to veritas for my friend's birthday. The place is very intimate, cute, and has a romantic vibe. We order a bottle of wine, suggestion of our host that night that we really liked. We tried the tasting menu and while some of the dishes were very good I didn't find anything outstanding for the kind of restaurant Veritas is. Food looked very appealing and the taste was good. I am looking forward to try the next tasting menu that they will offer.

The quarterly menu was amazing!! I highly recommend adding on the wine pairing. It is a great date experience or a dinner with friends.

My husband and I went to Veritas to celebrate our anniversary! We were welcomed with champagne and it our first time at this restaurant! The setup is very intimate and romantic! We visited during the Mediterranean supper club. The food menu was a 6 course pre set meal and they had Mediterranean inspired cocktails which very delish. The service was very good and each dish was explained to us by our host when it was served! Lot of different flavors and we enjoyed every bit!! Will definitely come again.

My husband and I have eaten at Veritas a handful of times now and every experience has been nothing short of excellent. I am disabled and I really appreciate their considerate reminder of where the ADA entrance is and they really do everything they can to be accommodating. The service is always spectacular. I always get the wine pairing with our meal and the servers are all so knowledgeable. It's such a fun little lesson about wine. I also highly recommend the wine pairing because it is so thoughtful and really adds to the meal experience. The food always blows me away with creativity, thoughtfulness, and care put into every dish. Veritas is very worth the price and we'll happily continue to spend our special occasions with them.
