Val's of the Caribbean

The interior is tiny and dated with only a few tables. It is best to know what you are ordering beforehand as the menu board in the restaurant is hand written, faded and doesn't provide a lot of clarity. The Jamaican beef patties are crisp and available either spicy or mild. The pepper steak was well seasoned and extremely tender with generous side portions of rice and beans and plantains.

Val's of the Caribbean in Columbus is a gem for authentic Caribbean flavors. Their jerk chicken is perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor in every bite. The fast, friendly service creates a welcoming atmosphere, making it a top choice for a satisfying meal.

The food is amazing and authentic. It's nice to sit in there too. Sometimes they're not available on the delivery apps I think due to staffing, but ordering and pickup is a breeze and the food is always hot and ready. The Mac and cheese is not black American Mac and cheese, but it's ok! Love the oxtails and rice and cabbage. Huge portions too! One of the best places in the Reynoldsburg/Pickerington area!

The food is good. The jerk can be salty and wet. The service was excellent. The ambiance could be better.

I used to love this place but it's quickly going downhill. The staff is rude and kids running around. The cashier using bad language and yelling. The food is still amazing but the staff is horrible and ghetto as hell. There was even a guy with a dog in his hand behind the counter.

Food was good as it was years ago when I tried. Their prices and menu could definitely be better regarding ability to view..I didn't realize how much they charged for a large hibiscus drink..was alarmed to see $10 but it Is what it isWait time wasn't bad at all since i ordered in the store.I didn't want to stay and eat as the furniture is very old and nasty looking so I opted to eat in my car.Great authentic rasta spot. I just happened to be in the area so I was excited to eat it again. Great taste. Great flavor and customer service was good. Very small eating area as I thought it was a bigger restaurant than I remembered but perhaps they moved from years ago when i visited.Corn bread was fabulous Was kinda hoping the jerk was more spicy than it wasMac and cheese was great. Plantains perfect and cabbage great. Definitely check this place out if you are looking for an authentic Jamaican food experience

Overpriced, had 2/12 Oxtails on a $20.00 meal. Mostly rice very little beans. 3 stars very disappointed with meal. I won't be back.

We got here before they opened. When they opened they were still cooking food. We ordered what they had and it was very good.Someone suggested we call first next time so we knew what they had, was still fixing,or had sold out of.

This place never disappoints. I can appreciate fresh food without a long wait and did I mention this is authentic?
