Great service, good food in a friendly diner-style environment. There's a lot to love here!We had the ham loaf dinner (green beans and mashed potatoes with gravy included $9.99). It's a special on Wednesdays and Fridays. So good and fast!There is also a great selection of pies; they were also offering pineapple upside down cake and peach cobbler today. I ordered a slice of butterscotch pie and it looks amazing!Definitely stop in when you're in Bellville!

I live in Florida but whenever I'm back in town I eat every meal at the V & M. The service is friendly and efficient and the food it always fresh and hot. If the locals eat here, you know it has to be good and the place is always packed. Screw Butler and Lexington, Bellville has the V & M.

Reason I gave it the five stars is because this is the quintessential 1950s family restaurant that you can't miss! It's neighbors sitting enjoying the time with neighbors. You have waitresses that are working their tails off and the one or two guys in the kitchen are pushing hard to get the meals out. But you don't come here if you're in a hurry for your food. You come and enjoy the time and sit and enjoy the people and the talking. The food was excellent. We had breakfast there this morning. Everything was to order just as we asked and the sausage gravy and biscuits were perfect for an old hillbilly like me! It really hit the spot. Great place! Great people! Great food!

Used to visit the Mansfield location. Wasted many, many lunch hours driving to the location only to find a handwritten note on the door providing an excuse as to why they were closed for the day AGAIN. I swore to never eat at a V&M again. A friend in Bellville stated it was under new management and he wanted me to try it with him. Grudgingly I accepted because the special of the day was bean soup and I went to get some for my wife. I ordered two bowls to go. I was later told they ran out and was asked if I wanted chili or vegetable soup instead. Serious? Did I order chili or vegetable soup? Nope. Different owner, same disappointment. Maybe... just maybe... if you have a special for the day... elevate your expectations and make enough to get through lunch traffic. Doesn't hurt to not get thrown off because you get an extra customer or two.

Comfortable place with great food n wonderful servers. Highly recommended if you want good ole homemade food!!!

Best food in town. Don't miss out eating here. Their breakfast barbarian waffle is the best.

My husband and I came to this restaurant 7 years ago and did not have the greatest experience. He convinced me to come back and let me tell you, what a different experience we had. The food was hot and very good. Small town diners have always been a favorite of ours and we can now add this one back to our list. We will be back.

This is a quaint little town off Interstate 71 by Mansfield. Worth the drive. Good food. Friendly place. True home style cooking with homemade desserts that look like Amish
